i guess Mu La Flaga is quite OP in space combat, lol, he's like the chad of all chads.
So very true. It is why he was stuck with the Mobius Zero and Sky Grasper for long and why he only gets Vanilla Strike. Wouldn't want him to steam roll enemies early on and even at the end.

Well he's a kind of newtype rau, rey, and him. Kira was also hinted to be one too.
Easy, the last config makes Sword Strike act as the bait while Blitz stealth kill the ships. If things goes bad, Aegis swoops in MA form, grabs Strike and skedaddle out of there. Pretty ballsy considering they didnt even had a working OS yet.
In a alternate universe scenario, I would say the pilot of Strike would be the hot-blooded rookie archetype who always get into trouble while Aegis is piloted by the reliable ace pilot squad leader archetype who always bails the rookie out. The rookie is the MC and leader is the mentor destined to die.....wait, thats sounds like Stardust...

Exactly. Strike will divert the attention of the enemy mobile suits drawing them to one side.
If I've learned anything from playing video games, it's that an attack while cloaked deals increased damage, but it also removes cloaking status. This may not actually apply here, because iirc, Mirage Colloid has a set duration. Nevertheless, the direction of the attack would be discernable and the enemy MS would swarm that location, firing ranged weaponry to blanket the area - the best course of action when dealing with a stealth target. With the MS preoccupied, the Blitz could move on to take out a second ship before the enemy could respond. The fact that the ships are in formation and lack the necessary mobility to maneuver quickly, severely limits their artillery range. The Blitz can stay in close proximity to their hull and avoid the minimal firing capability they do possess.
This is actually a rather brilliant strategy. While the Strike is placed in a higher risk scenario, it is only momentarily, as the attack plan forces the enemy to keep shifting focus and changing position.
This sounds alot like Macross, putting Hikaru in the Strike and Roy Fokker in the Aegis.
But why would you need a diversion for an invisible unit? Its already invisible to anything and the aegis would already be the center of fire as its the assualt ms
@@cardinal2921 Maybe for Power Saving, being invisible needs power to stay invisible, maybe to save power, diversion is needed for it to do it's job and return safely while minimizing energy usage.. That's just what I think and maybe I could be wrong..
Also remember that the Perfect Strike Gundam was designed before this battle plan according to the lore. Meaning in theory you have the Strike able to use all three at once and acting incredibly versatile during battle. Plus there was a plan to produce multiple Gundams as well. Apparently the Archangel was planned to get 2+ of most of them, or their mass production version, after a refit.
JTMC93 well, as far as I remember, that actually happened with Mu as the pilot.
@@jegtano7079 The Perfect Strike plan was a pack that had the capabilities of all the Striker Packs in one. The 'Perfect Strike' Gundam that we ended up seeing was a later rendition of it that was finalized after Mu became its pilot and was more a rebuild of the original striker packs to fill that design goal. EDIT: In universe the Perfect Strike Plan never got passed the planning stages as the finalized design couldn't be settled on which is why we have so many side story and variation series packs that are based on combining the striker packs together in different ways.
The original plan for the perfect strike pack was then used out-of-universe to make the Destiny Gundam and the Destiny Silhouette Pack. Hence why the Destiny looks like it slid back technologically speaking when compared to the Impulse.

It makes sense that the Duel hangs back for the Archangel's defense along with the Buster.
The basic Duel IS the template for the other G-machines.
In the hands of a natural, it won't be of much use fighting away from the Archangel.
The Duel, as its name suggests, is appropriate for 1-on-1 fights.
The Aegis' is well suited for hit and run tactics.
The Blitz could've been purposed for recon in mind with attacking targets of opportunity.
The multirole Strike... I don't really think the Sword Strike would be appropriate as bait in a pincer attack. That's a job for the Aile Strike. The Launcher Strike: mini more mobile Lohengrin.
The Buster, defense or offense, anti-ship or anti-mobile suit role..
It busts ass! Just give someone to watch his back (looking at you Duel Assault Shroud), either of the Strike, Blitz or Aegis in the original plan would do.

You know I'm surprise that crew didn't replace the rail gun on the mobius Zero with the Strike's launcher pack beam cannon or mount it along with the rail gun giving it double the firepower during the space battles.
Should do a lore video on the RX-78-1 through 7 about why the lineage has 7 machines. Ive always loved the Kunio Okawara Gundam Collection gundams
I mean even if the pickup of the ship and suits had gone to plan the state of the OS was so bad that this battle plan would have been impossible to pull off until they could get an upgrade to their OS's, until such time it'd be the MA's defending the ship with maybe limited help from the Buster and Launcher Strike acting as turrets. Honestly why they didn't just drop the ZAFT MS OS in them and use combat Coordinators until they had a working OS is an in universe mystery.
Because the Coordinators were the enemy. Naturals can't handle anything tuned to a Coordinator's abilities. That's why Kira gets stuck piloting the Strike instead of Mu.
@@darrellmurray4928 Yeah I know that, what I'm saying is that the OS was still so bad that it doesn't make a lot of sense in universe not to use a combat coordinator something they were already using at the time according to the Astray series. If you aren't familiar with Astray, combat coordinators were created by the Alliance through mental conditioning and later genetic engineering to be completely loyal and subservient to naturals, eventually the program was shut down and replaced with the Biological CPU program by Blue Cosmos as they usurped leadership of the Alliance however surviving combat coordinators were still being used by the Alliance as late as the second Alliance-PLANT War.
@@td644 the GATX line were testbeds to lead up to mass produced models. The OS in them probably wasn't meant for combat at all.
is it me or did the duel get shafted here. like the blitz can turn invisible, aegis can turn into a mobile armor, strike has the striker packs, heck even the buster can combine both its weapons for one bad ass weapon. like all of them has a cool gimmick and what did the duel get
The original battleplan of the Archangel could've been happen in the series, if the ZAFT Forces haven't invaded the neutral colony of Heliopolis and let alone stealing them in the first place.
Sometimes I wish that the 5 Gundams of the Earth Alliance would have team up like the Gundam Teams from Gundam Wing, G Gundam and Gundam 00.
Or so I thought they would when I first saw the very first episode of Gundam SEED on TV many years ago, even after Gundam Wing and before Gundam 00.
Have Mu La Flaga use the Urbanmech camouflage to attack the ships, the rest of the ZAFT pilots would be to focused on what they perceive to be an actual threat to care about him, up until he blows a hole in their ships engine.
I’m just wondering what happened to the Duel and Buster Gundam after the war? I mean they were never really destroyed after the war except the buster. Can you explain to us in the next video if you can?
They were returned. They would be then be upgraded to Blu Duel and Verde Buster.

It was stated that the OS was not finished so I imagine that the pilots for the suits were meant to test them and they’d make adjustments as the tests went on till the OS was perfected

Abyss is the third one you're thinking of, the aquatic one. Yeah, I'd love to see a followup to this video with Minerva and her original unit of Gundams in action too. Gaia, Chaos, and Abyss are far more specialized than the G-Weapons were, basically being land, air, and sea units respectively. While they could all operate in each other's areas, each performed better in their own arenas.
Personally I feel Abyss would be the tanky one fighting on the front lines while Gaia and Chaos used their superior mobility to flank and perform hit-and-fade runs on enemy units. The Impulse would be like the Strike, bouncing around the battlefield depending on operational needs, swapping out Silhouette Packs as needed, while the two Zakus held back to help fill any gaps. Luna's Gunner Zaku Warrior would most likely fill Buster's role as long range artillery while Rey's Blaze Zaku Phantom could join in frontal assaults with it's higher agility.
If they managed to deploy with this formation using that OS and the designated pilots...
Le Creuset's squad would be having a party shooting down or picking up Gundams in space. Mu would be screaming the name of his fellow pilots 7 times.

duel is an assault suit with probably way better mobility in close range. You're use of it is unlogical

This is why the second series alliance Gundams had bio cpu piloting them, so they would be exploited to best way possible.
Also imagine if Kira actually created the best OS for naturals without ever finding out that he contributed to the war? He would be be famous, and later after that war- assuming moderates in Omni overrule blue cosmos extremist- Athrun finds out, he’d be upset and pissed that Kira was the one ended his people independence and control!

Personally I'd see the sword striker pack as a crowd control and defensive because i wouldn't want to accidentally shoot the Arch Angel on accident while an enemy mobile suit gets too close and puts it in the line of fire, while Buster and launcher striker as long range supports and anti ships with their high firepower, and the Duel seemed like a it would be good as it is, and the Blitz would likely be in a good position for Pinzer attacks for getting behind enemy units or even destroying enemy suits before they even get out the loading bays to even crippling ships thrusters, and Aegis is just as mentioned

but in terms of specializing, we have the rx78 G4/5/6... units. a heavy gatling to handle large numbers, a beam launcher to take out ships and the G6 mudrock heavy armor mid range support unit with speed.
if EF had put all the Gundams together, G3/Alex would be close combat, mudrock the middle, G4+5 handling defense. they still have space for 1 more ms on any Pegasus/pegasus refit if both G3 and alex is on-board.

Gihren greed, says otherwise because GM units have 3 in a pack for some models while some versions are 1 GM alone. so on pegasus class, fitting 15 GMs
in the same space as 5 gundams/high cost GM was mind boggling.
then thunderbolt showed how. and the concept is Gundams and High cost GMs need extra maintenance equipment space.
which is why in Gihrens Greed, there is an option to combine squads of GMs that had lost units in their pack. freeing up "squad" count for producing more units or to fit into 1 higher speed pegasus instead of having a Salamis carry the extra.
Well, you don't have to agree with me, because I'm not easily appeased by the narratives of Gundam.

Based on the striker pack, it seems Strike Gundam primary role is as weapon testbed. Interchangeable weapons set is more effective in battlefield than fixed role.
which makes more sense considering how the sword striker doesnt fit into most battle scenarios.
in the end, the only other unit in feds to use the anti-ship sword in active combat is the sword calamity.
Revan Rushardi I agree but I also thought that it would be the general purpose mass production type, but also assists the others in a supporter role or as a commando diversion.

Practically this is not true.
No seriously. Think about it. You can dig a hole with a spoon, but a shovel is better. You can eat off a shovel, but a spoon is better.
Likewise if you build a suit from the ground up or take a base and add completely new parts to it, you can then out preform general units at specific tasks. You could put a 95mm or 135mm giant sniper rifle into the hands of a Zaku, but if you specially build a different mono-eye, develop a more powerful generator, and develop a beam sniper rifle, you will put preform that Zaku in accuracy and effectiveness.
Or more importantly, sometimes a weapon is sinply too much for a certain system to manage, hence why fighters have 1 pilot and a repair team, while ships have repair teams and a large team of operators.
General and interchangable makes things more cost effective, but not always functionally effective.

This is arguably a good thing. This would make enemy units focus on the Strike and make it even less likely the enemy would see the Blitz coming.
This particular tactic could work if the target was a command ship.
Iirc, some historical pincer movements did in fact work this way, make the enemy focus on one formation while the other formation comes up to flank them.
so basically one is the Decoy
I would kind of assume that EA would have spent more time getting the OS optimized for naturals. Remember the G Weapons were still in development when Zaft stole them

3:47 i actually disagree, this is a very Sun Tzu strategy. using the sword strike as a giant flag drawing their main guns means less defenses for the blitz to deal with. meanwhile the sword itself might've been a trump against slower heavy artillery ships. like the lesseps or even the heavier armor nazca.
of course, it would mean diving into battle with little in therms of defense(beyond the phase shift). still i think the sword was meant as a special weapon in case zaft develops a mobile armor.

Just like the aegis, I'd imagine Mu would be used flexibly, offensive when the oppertunity arises, and defensive when the situation calls for it. It wouldnt be much of an stretch to assume he'd have full license to do as he sees fit, considering his skill and perception of how those tides seem to sway.
OtherMomo I agree with you on this especially since he knows the determination and danger of Rau Le Creuset. I think he would be given more ability to act as he see’s fit.

Personally my thoughts for the battle plan for the Archangel and G-weapons are:
Duel - In the heat of battle. It is meant to take the brunt of the enemy forces, luring them away from the Archangel as much as possible. It's balanced load out means it can pick off enemies in close and mid-range combat.
Buster - Offering Long-Range Bombardment, picking off enemies from afar. The Shotgun is for enemies manages that bypass the Duel, both mobile suits and war ships alike. The Sniper Rifle for helping lessen the enemies before they make contact with the Duel or disabling Warship weaponries etc. while using their uncombined forms for dealing with fast warheads.
Blitz - Using Mirage Colloid would disable/destroy battle ships or helping the Duel as it takes the brunt of the enemy forces. Creating chaos and inducing paranoia and distraction with ambushes.
Aegis - Zipping through enemy lines in its MA mode, rushing into the center of the enemies' formation. Helping the Blitz by being the distraction, making sure it doesn't get shot down and destroying Warships with its Scylla. It also uses the MA to quickly retreat or catch enemies who bypass the Duel that the Buster may be too late to deal with. Its MS mode can be utilized as a back-up for the Duel or when picking off high profile targets like enemy Aces 1-on-1.
Strike - All rounder, the striker packs allowing it to fulfill different roles or change into another role in the midst of battle depending on the situation. Aile for backing up the Duel and catching up or dealing with enemies that breaches the perimeter with its speed and mobility. Launcher for Long-range bombardment alongside the Buster or making and creating openings and paths to their current objective with its Agni. Sword for dealing with enemies who comes close and personal with the Archangel, rushing to the enemy warship with its Anti-Ship sword or to deal with kamikazeeing Warships(Something I would do if the ship is gonna be destroyed anyway, might as well do one last hurrah). Its basic mode without striker packs are to ensure it can return to the Archangel or for its own protection in case the enemh targets the striker packs when sent to it in case it cannot dock or return to equip its packs(something you'd think the enemy would and should prioritize).
I love that the Aegis was a command unit. The strike is cool but I always liked how the Alliance had Mobile armors and the Aegis transforming into a mobile armor being their flagship G Unit.
That’s something I’ll always be willing to see. They could do the infamous SEED Film or an Alternate-SEED OVA where the G-Weapons stay together. Hell I’ll even take a 5 minute Anniversary Promo.
I'd personally use the Mobius Zero and Aile Strike as a "flying" column, aiding Aegis in offense and can be recalled to augment defenses, depending on the situation. I'd be dedicating Aegis to offensive operations due to its firepower.
I'd personally use the Buster as a much more mobile "cannon" escorted by the Duel. In this way, I'm striking the enemy from two locations, potentially splitting their forces. The Archangel has firepower and survivability and the Buster/Duel combo offers mobility and firepower.
The Blitz can serve force recon and flank attacks, taking out commander units/striking ship bridges/engines when necessary.
Honestly each of the G-weapons are pretty much versatile on their own, both Blitz and Buster may be specialized units but they can hold their own.

In the Attack that leads to the theft of the 4 GAT-X Gundams, they destroyed a Convoy with some big Transporters in it.
Later we see that one similar Transporter had Equipement for the Strike Gundam in it and even more later in the Series, the Buster got an Upgrade in Armor and Weapons.
(I can't remember if it was stolen too or build or extracted from the destroyed Colony Zone.)
Is there anything known, what Equipement was lost in that initial Battle?
Was it maybe Support Equipment for the Strike or for one of the other Gundams?
Also, interesting Video, but I''m glad that it became never part of the Series. Would be very boring with this combination. xD

Hahaha LOL. CE Rule, never bother hiding Prototype MS suits, they'll get stolen irregardless if it was well protected or not.
As an alternative idea on how the Sword Strike + Blitz combo could work, it might also be a case of the Blitz not having enough firepower to take down multiple large ships which is when the SS and it's Anti-Ship Sword would come in. Basically SS charges at the enemy, Blitz sneaks up on the fleet and disables the ship as best as it can and in that confusion the SS would find a way to finish off the ships while the Mobile suit troops are scrambling to deal with the Blitz
I really want to see this battle plan in action now ._.
come to think of it, almost all of the suits in Seed are stolen by an enemy.
Seed is a story about stealing, whether it be mobile suits or your friend's fiance

Agreed. I would love to see such a "what if..." story. Though you would have to fix the OS issue before even really doing such a story. Or you could make all of Kira's friends Coordinators and they become the pilots of the G-Weapons. Kira in the Strike, Tolle in the Buster, Sai in the Blitz (or Duel), Kuzzy in Duel, and finally Miri in Aegis. Hmmm that would be pretty interesting in the scheme of things. There are five friends and five G-Weapons. Hmmmmm.....
More than likely, the Sword Strike would've acted as a diversion for the Blitz to make its stealth attack that much easier by drawing away anything guarding the ship.
I kinda wish it had gone the route of the archangel keeping all 5 and seeing how zaft would have to scramble in a panic to develop counters, going from complete dominance in the ms field to having every one of your suits completely outclassed overnight. Idk I just think that would’ve been fun. Have Kira be some rookie pilot that has to rewrite the os so his teammates can handle it, they’ve got one ace who’s working it out faster than the others and keeping up without the ai, but he’s still not on Kira (the coordinators) level but he’s not a full liability so he can survive, as it progresses the other pilots get better ai to help them and the ace is needing it less each mission, so by the last episode the team could probably take on zaft all by themselves, but some defector to zaft gave them tech comparable to the g weapons so we get one giant gundam fight between two teams of them.

Sumeragi Le Noriega would plan several to hundreds battle plans for those suits.
How to counter several ships, how to destroy fortresses, how to escape, etc.
Imagine the G weapons were never stolen, but instead on Archangel’s maiden voyage they encountered Rau’s force. Athrun et al would be in Ginns, vs 5 Gundams that could barely move (think Orb’s MS before Kira helped them). The Ginns would be dancing circles around the Gundams, but struggle to take them down due to phase shift armour. Without Kira, ZAFT could focus fire, isolate, and eventually destroy/capture each Gundam in turn.
Could be that the sword striker pack was meant to draw enemies away from the ships allowing easier accesse for the blitz
I don't think the original strike pilot would appreciate being used as bait for the enemy.

The Archangel will still obtain the Skygraspers upon entering Earth. So the battle plan will change drastically.
Then there's the IWSP. If only Morgenroete would have thought of the IWSP sooner they don't need the various packs in the first place. The only question is who is qualified to pilot it.
you forget that mu la flaga wasnt originally assigned to the archangel. he was assigned to the carrier that transferred the g-weapons. so if your talking about the original battle plan of the archangel, it wouldnt have included the mobius zero.
So this is basically Zoids New Century Zero with the striker packs.
One of my main criticism with Seed was that Mu and Kira were able to hold every enemy off by themselves. I very prefer the origin manga where the White Base was equipped with gun cannons and GMs. I think it would have been nice if Sai and Tall (however you spell his name) had guncannon type suits that would defend the archangel. Great firepower but difficult to control. It was just lame to me how Kira was able to so candidly beat 3 other gundams piloted by other Ace coordinators especially when the archangel was under staffed.
The only thing they can ride was MA as earth army has no MS until they gotten strike's data. Gw weapon is secret project.
What would it looked liked if the 4 Gundams where not stolen? See 00
Also if thats the case then probably the units might as well be distributed to proper pilots:
Duel will piloted by Jean Carrey
Buster by Rena Imelia
and probably Mu will pilot the Aegis
the Two remaining units will have there own pilots
Zaft on the other hand might push to develope there own Gundams (And please make them accurate by giving them Monoeyes)
I'm bit doubted they're would trust Duel to Jean Carry... Because he was a coordinator

I think the sword strike pack are mean as advancing vanguard. Aile is hit and run relying on speed and mobility to control the distance together with Aegis. This two unit are meant to create frontline border and fighting the opponent frontline. The sword pack however are meant to breach the opponent front line to attack the opponent back row like the warship or a long distance bombardment unit (like the Buster Gundam). It can also act to extract the Blitz from the center of enemy rank if deemed necessary for the Blitz to return (such as when the enemy warship is too deep inside of enemy line so escaping on it's own after performing it's duty might be difficult.

To be honest, considering these were all new suits for the federation and each testing a concept, I don't see sword being useless, the strikes roll was meant to be an adaptable unit to different combat situations, almost like a "float" for rest of the other ms, mean sword is handy for the close range encounters ofc and potentially supporting other ms
Speaking of Gundam SEED I found out the Gundam MK4 and the Dreadnought Gundam share a lot of design similarities.
I just finished rewatching Seed right now, actually, after more than a _decade_ from my first time watching it. And I've heard from a few different places how it's one of the less popular Gundam shows out there, and while I can't speak as to why other people may feel that way... yeah, I definitely have some problems with Seed. I thought the mobile suits were awesome but the characters were absolutely driving me crazy by the end of Seed. I've just started up Destiny, which I've never seen before, and I'm hoping I'll like that one way more, and see significantly less Kira (I fucking hate that guy).
Afaik Seed was only a less popular show in America, in Japan it was super popular. Imo one of the main points Seed has over most Gundam shows I've watched so far was the characters funnily enough. They're flawed, that's how you're supposed to write a character and they really go into their flaws alot I found. I really liked Kiras Story in Seed and its continuation in Seed Destiny was good enough still.

If you play team fortress 2 this is a clever strategy of having the demo knight jumping for a quick hit and distraction while spy sneaks in during the chaos when all attention goes into fighting the guy that's currently visible. It works the same way with strike and blitz.
Also was wondering at some point they planned to replace dual and buster in favor of 2 more strike Gundams in favor of modulation over specialized units.
Pretty obvious Sword Strike supposed to attract enemy attention while Blitz closing in to disable enemy ship.
The strike would have drawn out mobile suits from defense to reduce resistance to the Blitz’s well blitz.
IIRC Aegis has a streamlined form which can help in penetrating the enemy territory while towing the Sword Strike where it can infiltrate the ship and wreck havoc either from the hangar or land poximal to the bridge for an attack.
Wouldn't the sword strike act more like bait for ZAFT MS while Blitz attack them from behind?
Also the tactis is sound on paper but didn't the Archangel tackle more than one ships?
You should do a Vs series, e.g. wing 5 main suits from season 1 Vs seed suits as above or even the 4 suits from gundam 00

I think you can do this better with just Strike Daggers, the blueprints for the Duel's extra armor shroud, and some modifications to the packs. Here's my idea.
The ship stays back with 2 or 3 Daggers. They are the fire-support line, all 3 or 4 of them. The Daggers need an extra Launcher Pack shoulder option for their other arm, then add a rail-gun to the lower arms and slap on a modified version of the assault shroud to bulk them up. They won't need a beam rifle because the rifle will get in the way of the rail guns and they need the battery power to help operate the big lazer cannon. The command unit needs to be able to keep a good visual on the battle field, to engage and disengage safely in the conflict, and to be able to fall back to help protect the ship quickly then return to the fight quickly. Give him the Aile Pack and shield with the beam rifle but less assault shroud than ususal. Protect his main torso most, where the pilot is. We only need 1 or 2 of these guys. Finally, 4, 6 or more of the remaining Daggers can have basically a mass production shroud, without any of the extra laser guns or attachments, and a Sword Pack with a beam rifle so they can shoot at people while they advance carefully as to best retain their armor for the longest time frame, and to dispatch the enemy with their big swords. Ship or suit, the sword is a hot knife and the enemy is butter.
So basically the same thing, for less money, less specialization, and if the pilots are trained enough, you might have a tine frame where they'll completely outpreform the enemy.

Question after watching this and seeing videos on varaints and development of other gundam ship classes what is tje Archangel classes development line in univers and dose she have any other sisters besides Dominion like they biuld 6 destroy gundams and numerous human software and G-weapons they had to have built more then 2 ships in a class? I mean they should have atleast had some hulls in drydock being laid.
So basically the original plan would made Seed play out kinda like Metal Armor Dragonar. A team of greenhorn protagonist pilots on mechs while the veterans are in fighters with Mu being the Gundam pilots mentor figure. Then there’s a rival team consisting of Athrun, Nicole, Dearka, Yzak, and Miguel who are also in mechs but are all formally trained in military combat. Frequent battles will be slightly in ZAFT’s favor, but balanced out due to technological gap and one good fighter on the protagonist team which is Mu on cleanup duty. Eventually character development will set in and the protagonist team will actually work together more effectively and become better pilots.
As for Kira who is left out of this scenario, either a recurring side character at best and a filler character during an episode regarding Athrun which ends with Kira dying somehow at worst. Unless of course you want Kira to still be the Strike pilot anyway. Only difference is there’s more people defending the ship and some characters will probably actually live.
I think I'd play it as Kira is the civilian OS expert who's coordinator nature is covered up to be a reveal and upset midway on the journey. Kira and Athrun's past still has potential relevance since he is still there, still involved (in a more indirect manner) and you could see Athrun arguing to Kira that "You might as well be piloting the Gundam's yourself!" that have been killing his comrades.

I personally think the original battle plan is a complete flop because it assumes even basic competence with the G weapons, which the planned pilots did not have. This plan, in universe, was probably written as a best case scenario. But if the Archangel left Heliopolis when it was supposed to, I have no idea what it would actually accomplish. The best plan would probably be to rely on the various beam weapons on the G weapons as pseudo-mobile turrets, at best. This idea of sending some of them straight into battle to scuffle with ZAFT pilots is foolhardy at best, and wasteful at worst.
I'd think they would revise the plan/compliment to do away with the basicly useless Mobius type Mobile Armors and either carry more Strikes(with copies of all the packs or specific ones for each unit)or Duels(upgraded with more ranged options)and or a squad of Mass production machines equipped with striker packs(105 Daggers?), also having the Sky Grasper(Space type/spec) would also help and be a possible unit for Mu(we see him really shine in a unit that can actually do more than annoy/maybe damage MS). One thing this plan doesn't account for is how you would replenish units mid-battle. That is, save the Strike, which can have a new striker pack(at least two times given it would launch with one) all the other units would have to land/dock to recharge(ZAFT really throught this through with their entire line of units in the second war with having a remote charging beam). This is where the Strike could excel, covering for and or filling in for the unit pulling out to recharge. Having more than one unit of the Strike's type would help greatly.
The problem is the pilots wouldn't have been coordinators.

I always thought that the Sword pack represented the Dual, and that there should have been a "Blitz" Striker pack.
Given that the original pilots of the gundams are a bunch of MS noobs, ZAFT would've been able to capture these weapons anyway
With what I learned from this video in mind, I can't help but agree with the the Yzak and co who felt like the GAT-X weapons would have been wasted in the hands of Natural pilots. The original strategy and tactics is so lame compared to how the Creuze team used them because, correct me if I'm wrong but, it essentially boils down to having the majority of the forces deployed around the publicity stunt flagship Archangel to protect it and its presumably important celebrity generals. Strike and Aegis will either be used to form the most basic looking front line or cover the Blitz as it goes in for a sneak attack. Compared to how ZAFT used the all of the GAT-Xs to form a mobile, mutually supporting strike group that allows the mother ship to hang back with its normal Ginns and provide cover fire, it's just so lame and uninspired. It's like the Alliance just saw their new MS as sturdier fighters with a bit more firepower.
So basically what we see in destiny with the Minerva, impulse and the zakus and goufs
Theres also the Perfect Striker Pack, which was created by the Earth Forces and delivered to the Archangel alongside the Skygraspers just before Archangel's reentry onto Earth. I wonder how it wouldve fit into all this.
(Kira never used it coz he didnt trust it, only when Mu used the Strike on Orb was it ever used, also, Perfect Strike was canonized in the remaster)

@@zerox8413 The Perfect Strike was used by Mu la Flaga only during the defence of Orb in SEED (not Destiny). The Ootori was used by Cagalli then Kira on the Strike Rouge in DESTINY, most notably when Kira saves the Eternal just before picking up the Strike Freedom.
maybe the sword striker pack was there just incase the launcher striker pack or the aile beam saber cant penetrate through the shield of an enemy mobile suit or enemy ship to back this up in gundam seed destiny (i dont know the episode but its near the beginning) shin asked to change backpack to the sword impulse gundam and started recking a bunch of ships (of course this is my personal opinion)
The Blitz is like the F-117 of Gundams, but it's not the only Gundam 2 disappear out of sight using optical stealth.
Couldn't you try this battle plan in the cross Ray's game and see how it works out?

I think a real under thought issue with gundam seed destiny, the impulse gundam was a partsformer, they had multiple sets of the body and legs, why didn't they have more core units/deploy more impulse gundams?
It's hard to imagine Mu not being assigned to a gundam.
Tbh with Naturals as the pilots of the Gundams and without the Natural OS later available to the Earth Forces, Mu with his Moebius Zero would be far more reliable and usable than any of the Gundams.
I could totally see any or all 5 of the Gundams dying at the hands of Ginns without good pilots or a usable OS.
More likely they be captured too by just draining their phase shift armors.

The Windam GAT-04 mass production MS must had a prototype not based on the GAT-X101 Dagger. What would the role for the GAT-X104 Windam prototype be? We know it's a dedicated flight MS before the development of the Strike's Aile Striker. Since the Windam is an atmospheric MS, it would had a fixed wing unlike the Strike using the Striker packs. The same can be said with the Astray possibly being the GAT-X106/X206 as a previous MS before the development of the GAT-X207 Blitz as they do share the same design features. It's likely that the Astray might be the test platform for the Mirage Colloid's initial Beam Deflection technology that would later be used in the GAT-X252 Forbidden Gundam. Considering that the Sahaku is part owner of Morgenraete, it's likely Ghina "borrowed" the GAT-X106/X206 and completed its development with the Astray Gold Frame into the Amatsu Ghina custom as it was originally designed. While Morgenraete continued with the development of the basic Astray prototypes that would later be specialized with unique technologies like the TransPhase&Akatsuki's Beam Reflection armor. Also it's likely that there's a prototype for the Murasame that would look like the Zeta Plus from the UCverse. We know that the original ReHome had already been built by the time ZAFT had attacked Alaska Base. That extended Cornelius class could had been armored&modified with weapons instead of being a Junk Guild Tender.
