I’d rather have the hands be better. Like the age hands or the perfect grade with pegs in the palms to hold the weapons better. And possibly better abs for crunches with the cannon.
I'd also support a 2.0 for the Ground Combat GM and the Gouf Custom to complete the set. Hell, maybe even add a Master Grade Ball K, JC Zaku II, Zaku RD4, and Topp's Zaku I to boot. 😁
In my opinion, absolutely yes. MG Gundam Ground Type absolutely needs 2.0. Those screws, needs weapon holding hand, fixing the proportions, needs full inner frame, part separation, and the most important: better articulation. I want MG Ground Gundam 2.0 having foot articulation like RoDa version of Ground Gundam and GM Ground Type, those are great for kneeling pose.
The 08th MS team kits are in desperate need of 2.0s, look at what they did with the MG Alex 2.0, turned an old kit that (from what i hear) aged horribly and doesnt hold up today at all and turned it into a fantastic MG while still staying pretty anime accurate (and getting more color accurate) and if the ez-8 and gouf custom got that treatment it would be perfect, and it’s not like there isnt a market for it given how popular the ez-8 is specifically.
I just got myself a high grade version of this Gundam and finished building it. I can't help but marvel at the small differences between my figure and yours. Shame I can't afford to buy much Master Grades yet. Maybe one day. They're awesome.
This was my second MG kit ever. For as old as it is, its still such an awesome kit. Still one of my top 5 favorite kits even after having built 13 kits since. I also broke 4 parts on it, including those arm clamps you mention being really tight that hold the back pack. Yeah, I snapped the crap out of it. Would love to see a 2.0 for this guy some day. The kit deserves it!
I find these kits that are around 20 years old now have a certain kind of charm. Last year I built and painted the RX-78-5 (G05) from 2002 - thoroughly enjoyed it and am very pleased with the outcome. Great video and review. I'd love to hive this kit a go one day. Thanks.
I'll say this. The only issue I have with the kit is how it can't hold its weapons, mainly the machine gun, well. Really have to fiddle with that. If they can fix that in a Ver 2.0, sure thing.
Absolutely yes. One of my fav vintage MGs. But its outdated. Shit hands. Hollow ass shield. Rifle incorrectly colored. Had to get new hands to get it to hold the cannon
Honestly this kit looks good enough for its age, the one that really needs a new one is the ez8, I feel like in the last one they did the proportions just looked really off
God yes this needs a 2.0. Even if this one is "fine" it can be so MUCH better. A 2.0 also opens door to make MG pale riders and lots of other new suits. People who say when is a Exia 2.0 have no idea what they missing
I boult this in the past. It's a very sturdy model, but has some big flaws today, namely the hands and knees. I don't likt the overcomplicated MG's we get today, but these old kits need an update in certain areas.
08TH MS Team and Stardust Memory MG's needs a 2.0 version. But bandai spirits is a bit lazy and just re-issue the same old kit. outdated inner frames and hands.
Honestly doesn't really need one but they could mill it's 2.0 frame alot from all the side stories or drop it half way through like the gelgoog variants and 2.0 Zaku I
I think we need a 2.0 for multiple reasons. The proportions, the seam lines, the inner frame, part separation and those screws
The proportions on this kit are perfect and ill be bummed as fuck if they stretch it and slim it
I’d rather have the hands be better. Like the age hands or the perfect grade with pegs in the palms to hold the weapons better. And possibly better abs for crunches with the cannon.
100% want a 2.0 for this kit. This and the EZ8. I've built this kit and honestly it's pretty awesome.
I'd also support a 2.0 for the Ground Combat GM and the Gouf Custom to complete the set. Hell, maybe even add a Master Grade Ball K, JC Zaku II, Zaku RD4, and Topp's Zaku I to boot. 😁
But with these proportions. I hate the proportions on the new mg uc kits
@@genovese667 You mean the proportions of the original kits?
@@TurnAGundam yeah
@@genovese667 Gotcha, thanks. Didn't wanna assume.

same with the rgm 79ground mg. it cant hold any weapon minus the beam saber
Yes it really does need a 2.0 same as for the Gouf Custom MG
Absolutely yes. One of my fav vintage MGs. But its outdated. Shit hands. Hollow ass shield. Rifle incorrectly colored. Had to get new hands to get it to hold the cannon
It's a YES. It's not that articulated for a ground type. I hope Bandai will make a 2.0 of ground gundam.

Thanks for the review. I just built the Gouf Custom, and getting ready to start this one
Omg I used to love piloting this in Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire🥰
I can't wait to build it.

Blue Destiny as well.
This was my first every master grade. I loved it but an update to match modern hg would be great
Most of the ground type units need a 2.0
I would just use a 2.0 gm frame or origin 78..would make a good base..n as well doing for the gun cannon.
2.0 is a must with this one. I worked on one for two months and then the leg broke mid build after paint. Gave up on it.
Yes we need ,lets hope more better articulation like gm sniper 2 master grade
Not only does it need a 2.0, but I'd argue that it needs a full mechanics rendition! And a perfect grade wouldn't hurt either.

Well it’s not bad, but not having one and liking this design a lot, I’d rather wait for a new one.
Yes
definitely needs a 2.0, the hands arent great and the joints get floppy over time
Honestly doesn't really need one but they could mill it's 2.0 frame alot from all the side stories or drop it half way through like the gelgoog variants and 2.0 Zaku I
Yes we need 2.0
was the screws tricky to put in or no tempted to buying it to give it a try but just asking before i think on buying it
Nah its pretty easy
@@GunplaNetwork so I hold the nut on one side on the part then screw in the bolt?
@@Viper-jr4sp
The piece the nut goes in is molded to fit it, so it's flush when it's screwed in.
how similar is this to the rgm 79 ground mg?
How much is this
