I just bought a UFPro Strike 2 boonie and absolutely love it the silhouette is just on point. Quality is on point made in Sweden too not from China at least what the label said I could be bamboozled tho
@@HillbillyMusings I 100% agree with fearless. I just got mine delivered today and it's just 🤌🤌 amazing. Worth the investment. Has its price tag, but I would buy it in a heartbeat if I lost it or damaged it (good luck with that lol)
Useful video. Theis style of hat is really popular here in Australia. I've seen them in my local surplus store and they seem similar to the Helikon CPU Hat - 3 of which I own. The Helikon-Tex hats are made in Poland and have a detachable chin strap. They also come in Polycotton and cotton versions with a wider range of colours and camo's

I love 5.11 quality, it’s as dependable as a Toyota but as I mainly need one for sun protection I’m gonna have to go with another brand this time.. a bit disappointing that it’s not wider but thanks. I already have a Propper Boonie which is great quality but need another color for work..happy to buy Propper again..

I wear the multi cam of the exact same hat for work because I'm out in the heat in the sun. I also wear in cold weather too, just flip my hood up. It keeps a small micro climate about my head, and keeps the hood in place.
I always try to read labels and feel fabric quality & stitching when finding boonies hats , & find🇺🇲 mfg. As much as possible Say,dad had same head size 7-7/8 you gotta search or have custom made, size semi hard to find on the rack,, we still have his HS football helmet from 55'.no face guard.

"made in China" nope! I have a 100% cotton rip stop tiger stripe ( tiger stripe products ) made by R&B inc in the USA. It has the shortened 2 inch "shooters brim". Couldn't be happier.
I can't.... it fits just a bit too tight for me. Now with that said, a person could probably wear the muffs over the hat itself, but the side would have to be folded up. thanks for watching!!

The hat is based more on a British military sun hat , the shorter brim gives you better perfrefeble vision.
