this is one of the best pantry's i have ever seen! 🤩👏🏻 just fantastic! you did such a beautiful job. I am inspired that is for sure! I love the charging station. By the way, sound was awesome! New mic worked great!😁👍🏻
Stop apologizing and saying the word ‘hoarding’. You are not hoarding. You are prepared. My family chooses this instead of purses, shoes, vacations, etc. everyone has choices, this is yours.
Absolutely Carla, my night out with the guys means hanging out with cans of groceries. No bowling nights, golf or sports. Just family, prepping and blogging. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love this life. Thank you.
Agree. People would tease, laugh and bully me because I have 6 month to a yrs of food. When this situation happen and food was gone, they called me to help them.
When it snows or storms outside I go into my pantry and look at the rows of fruit and veg I have put up and the canned and dried food preps I have. I feel like the richest and most secure person in the world. This feeling of security is so important for my peace of mind.
Your preps look great! Anyone that makes an accusation of hoarding, is just simply unprepared and not accountable for themselves or their loved ones. It's amazing that you bless others with the fruits of your labor.
Thanks E K, I have three boxes put together right now just waiting to be picked up by a family that needs it. They didn't make it yesterday. I actually thought that was what got the dogs barking during the video but they probably seen a cat or something.
Agreed!! It’s not hoarding. It all gets used. It’s being prepared. If the naysayers don’t pay your bills or put food on your table then their opinion is irrelevant.
Yep...My grandparents grew up in great depression era. Basement shelves and 3 extra freezers were always fully stocked. They were preppers long before I had a word for it. As a child, I never fully understood it. I was happy though because they had all the good stuff 🙂. As I grew, I graduated from " helper" to the organizer and rotator. I had fun doing it and as they aged, organization, ( for them) wasn't as much of a concern as just having it. Took me a few decades (and a few kids of my own) but I fully " get it" now. Fond memories, good food, fun times and many lessons learned. ❤ ( edit: spelling error)
I think you misunderstood the comment completely. It's exactly the opposite of that. People who endured hard times will prepare like that of our grandparents.
I think this video is kind of like a visual template that someone could adapt to their own particular situation. This is especially helpful for the newbies!
Six months for 2 adults. You are being very modest sir. Adding some more rice and pasta 150lbs for each I would say you have about 24 months of food easy! Quite the room brother, you have now set the bar!
I agree Nick. If anything we're helping community by not buying when the shelves are low. We didn't step foot in a store for months because we didn't have to.
This is not bragging, this is smart and informative. I started prepping once Covid shortages were out of control, and I have been slowly adding to my storage weekly. Thank you Brian.
I just found your channel and I have to say, I am very impressed. You aren't hoarding, this is how our ancestors lived. If they hadn't, we wouldn't be here to call each other names. Since you are public with your preps, please be careful.
Thank you and we are very careful. Large family, large dogs, alarm system with 360 degree camera coverage and we're all well armed. If things got so bad we thought people might be coming from the city we wouldn't stay here. We have another place.
I always tell my boyfriend that I want to do something like this… he keeps calling me crazy! But I know when we buy our own house that’s how my basement is gonna look like no matter what he says! 💕😂 love it!!!
@@adamarzo559 lololol yes!! He keeps calling me crazy and I still don’t care 🤣. Soon to buy a house (in the next couple of year) he’ll thank me later😌.
Hide your preps behind the furniture, under the bed, and any spare closet you can keep him out of. DONT put anything in garage. Food won't keep where gas vehicles are and temp will make even canned food have shorter life.
I also count my foods in 26 or 52 weeks. 52 cans of ground beef being one a week for a year. If we don’t eat a lot of something, I do 26. It works great counting like that. I also love checking out my pantry and seeing where I might have any holes in my preps. It is a rewarding, secure feeling.
Thank you Rhonda but I'm not competing, I just was to inspire others to prepare for a rainy day. Most preppers I know are reluctant to show their pantry to me and would never record a video but I've seen a few over the years that make our pantry look like a tiny closet.
I agree with you.. not a competition... but you absolutely know what you're doing..... and it helps the rest of us fill in the gaps.... btw.... something you might want to investigate.... country salt cured whole hams....
I’m guessing that meat could go twice as far as you’ve estimated. Each of those Keystone cans is 28 oz. Granted, some of that is liquid, but there is probably still 1.5 pounds of meat. We mix in bbq sauce with the pork or beef and get 6-8 servings from a can. Paired with beans or rice it will go farther. I may have missed it as I was skipping through a bit, but peanut butter is good to keep in stock as a protein to fill in any gaps in the meat supply or to make it last longer. Excellent pantry, organization and advice!
@@rustybarrel516 It's true, there's a lot of meat in those cans. We both like the beef and when it's just the two of us we can get dinner and lunch from a can. I tend to under count servings to have a buffer. I know all those emergency food supplies we bought (They're at our other place) over count servings. The real number of servings is closer to half what they advertise. Plus most of them taste pretty bad. Peanut butter is an awesome prep. We only keep half a dozen jars because it will go bad eventually but we also have peanut butter powder too.
Thank you for the idea of putting a date on the front. It’s visually easier (and quicker) to see the date. I’ll put my son to work adding dates on everything.
I have started putting different colored stickers on them that indicate the year and I write the number of the month on the sticker. So and orange 3 means it is best be march 2022 for instance. I found it was a lot easier to keep a certain color sticker in the front than look at each item that closely.
@J Moore agree. I can’t have chickens because of the HOA, but I’ve thought about rabbits for food. I already eat rabbit so it would not be much of a change. We consider it more of a delicacy here since it’s so expensive but as far as fishing, we have a pond in our back yard. Not sure i would eat the fish from it though as it’s on a golf course which i am sure has pesticides and fertilizers all washing into it. Lots of turtles in there too. Eat at your own risk i suppose. My fear is all the people coming into our property to access the pond. That’s not cool.
It takes time Nadine. You'll get there. I'm proud of you just for getting started and three or four months is an amazing achievement. How many events has there be in our lifetimes where that wouldn't carry us through? I can't think of a single time. You're doing great.
@@NextStepSurvival thank you. That is true and is very encouraging. Thank you for sharing your pantry with us. I love that you have everything stored in one room in your house. Everything is together and easy to see and know what you have.
I’m off grid and well and rain catching system with 30,000 gall water storage. Solar power with backup on backup . On 40 acres. Good job and keep up prepping
When corona hit and the toilet paper / paper towel scare and food shortages the next year , I was ready and laughing at the ones rushing around trying to find food. I actually helped my neighbors out .
We have an abundance of openers at this point. Three in the kitchen, an electric opener, a regular hand opener and a large can opener in a hand crank. I think there are three backups in the pantry now. 😁
1. Repackage food items in plastic containers to either glass containers or Mylar bags. Plastic containers are air and moisture permeable which will cause your food to spoil. For instance the olive oil in those plastic jugs. Ditto for Tomato sauce in Plastic bottles. 2. Unfortunately Quaker Oats oatmeal has significant amount of Roundup (Herbacide). They spray Roundup on the oats to speed up drying so they can harvest them quicker. 3. Recommend you repackage your bulk dry foods (mash potatoes, pasta, etc) in Mylar boxes. 4. Upgrade your door locks for security.
You are kidding me about the Roundup! Holy crow.... how can they get away with something like that - good to know - thanks for sharing such important info.

Great Job. We had some friends who lost everything to a home fire. We gave them our living room set so they could get there feet back on the ground...they had no insurance. We had our Pantry in four locations. We now converted our living room into a Prepper pantry so we now have five locations of stocked food. Keep up the good work.
I wish I had a husband like you !!!! My kids think I’m a hoarder, but I live alone 30 miles from town and if I get sick, snowed in or if/when something happens I need to be prepared! I watch minimalist videos and think, dang I am a hoarder but wonder what will those people do ? Then I watch these and think I need to kick it up a notch or 10 notches 🤷🏼♀️
You have to wonder how many minimalists have turned to preppers after shelves were empty for weeks on end. The concept of preparedness has exploded this year. People are waking up. Trust me, you're not a hoarder if you can throw things you don't need out. We can't allow irresponsible people to redefine hoarding just to fit us in a box.
I live alone and started prepping some years ago. I was so glad that I had as I had my own SHTF moment last year when I got cancer. I'm now on the mend and my stockpile really saved me. The one thing I would recommend is removing the cardboard from inside the toilet rolls, they flatten down quite well and one bin can hold an amazing amount!
I grew up where we raised most everything we ate. Meat chicken duck fruits and vegetables and we had milk cows. Lots of hard work. We bought potatoes beans flour and sugar as well as lard in huge quantities each fall. We seldom went to town and never bought bought groceries but that it was in big quantities if what we didnt produce. It wasn't hoarding it was getting by. Being snowed in for weeks did not stress us because we couldn't get to the store. I think those that don't stock up are nuts.
I love pantry tours because it’s inspiring and I enjoy seeing what others stock and I think about if I might also need/want that. It’s interesting how varied pantries are. Initially this was hard for me because I wanted a literal list of what to stock. It took me a long time to realize the beauty in each pantry being different because each person is different.
I have been canning and dehydrating everything in our freezers, it sucks but we lost everything in ours freezers a few years back do to an ice storm and long term power outage, lost a few grand just in fish alone. With everything happening now I just feel better knowing most of our food is shelf stable.Thankfully I HOARDED jars and lids!
That's a nice option. BTW, you can buy freezer alarms that chime when the temperature gets too high. You can also see the actual temperature of each freezer on a display. I have one in each of ours but they do go through batteries fast.
Thanks Amelia, there's so much crammed into such a small room that just a few things out if place turns into chaos. I pretty much have to keep things in order.
This is amazing! It puts mine to shame but I just started six months ago and I’ve been doing a little at a time. Heading out this weekend to stock up some more..thanks for sharing.
Hi Sarah, I've been going at it for years so don't feel bad. I think it's incredible that so many people recognize the need and are doing something about it.
Thank you for bringing Keystone meats to my attention. I've ordered some for our pantry. I appreciate how organized you are. Need to do our own inventory as well. I don't show ours, just a decision we've made, but I get many ideas from the stores of others on UA-cam. ~Cynthia
I have seen numerous prepper pantries but this is the Oscar of pantries, you have done an outstanding job in preparing for any calamity. This is truly a 6 month supply even more of food for your household.I am impressed with your Keystone can goods Great Job !!!!
Wow! You have done an Amazing job! Very informative and impressive. I feel like such a underachiever seeing your set up. But you have given me some inspiration. Space is an issue for me at the moment. But when I move to my new place it must have prepping ability and storage.
I'm glad it helped a little. Space and money are the biggest obstacles for us. I have three bedrooms that are being used temporarily and when those are available again I have to be careful. If I fill those up with food someone should have me committed. 😆
My husband took a count of our canned chicken and he said, "We got 22 cans. Don't buy no more." Later on, I found 6 more cans I got from a recent Costco haul....but I didn't tell him. lol
LOL If you ever need it you'll be glad you did. I just canned 14 quarts of chicken and have 40 lbs of pork butt to finish thes week. Then more chicken.
It’s nice to be on the same page with your spouse regarding prep supplies, but I’m guessing it’s commonplace for the more risk averse spouse to do some extra “secret” prepping. At least, it is in my house. 😎👍
@@rustybarrel516 My wife always supported the things I've done but mostly by tolerating them. The same with prepping for years but at the beginning of Covid when we had 7 people locked down inside without leaving for over a month and we didn't need anything, she's actively on board now. Even once we opened the doors we didn't go shopping for a couple months. A couple weeks ago she noticed her favorite chili and bean sauce in a can was low so she bought a full case. Now I see her looking around the pantry with papper and pen looking for holes to fill. I think a big part of it for her was being about to help family and a few friends when they couldn't find what they needed in the stores. At least once a week we were giving groceries and supplies away. We were able to give our veterinarian a case of kydex jump suits and surgical masks. We took over 200 N-95 masks to the hospital that treated her for brest cancer. I don't think she'll ever go back to that "shop week to week" thought process.
This video was so inspiring and gave me a lot of very helpful ideas. You certainly are not bragging. From my perspective and personal experience, preppers are a very special type of human. We care about others and their welfare. So much of we do is for others to be safe, warm, fed, and taken care of. My husband loves that I've tried my best to get a very good stockpile for our kids and family! I'm a brand new subscriber today and I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos! Thanks again!
Thanks Jen, I appreciate that and thanks for giving my channel a chance. I agree, I've gotten to know many preppers over the years and I think they're all good people.
As a relatively new Prepper, this is awesome! I can tell you've put a LOT of thought and care into your planning. First time viewer of your channel and I subscribed! .........and like I always say to myself, "I pray that we never ever NEED our preps"!
I store a majority long term food storage (20 plus year shelf life). I have about 70 five gallon buckets with Mylar bags in them with rice, different beans, flour, powdered milk, etc. I have three big shelves of shorter term foods such as peanut butter, cans of meat/veggies/fruit, coffee, and the rest. Definitely good job on your stockpile. I thought I was the only one that bought a ton of canned pumpkin haha. I also make wine so I figured I’d use it for pumpkin wine; I have hundreds of pounds of sugar stored in five gallon buckets so I will be able to make a few hundred gallons of various wines. Good job, sir.
That sounds fantastic Brmic. I haven't tried making wine but I do a lot of fermenting and was making a bunch of kombucha. I need to get back into that along with sour dough bread.
Prepping isn't that big in Australia, but I've been doing it for more than 20 years. Started off small, grabbing a few extra things here & there each time I shopped. Now I grow so much of my own food, raise livestock, can my own food. Becoming more & more self sufficient each day & enjoying off grid living. I easily have 5 years of food stored. One thing I couldn't do though is post online. I like to keep it covert. In an SHTF situation I don't want crazies breaking down my door. So many people around me are ill prepared. They have no idea of the storm that is coming!! Failing to prepare is preparing to fail!
I've been watching you videos for about a week now & I read all your blog post. Definitely my favorite prepper. Im a long term prepper for 9 years, with some breaks in between. Thank you for all the amazing content
I started prepping a couple years ago. I don't want to be one of these crazy 2+ year end of the world preppers, but 3-4 months for me, seems prudent. I don't go into debt to prep and I haven't stopped living to prep. I take my time and have fun with it, I find it interesting, a challenge. As prepared as I am when an emergency hits is better than I would be if I hadn't started. Got 1-2 months of water, 3-4 months of food, flashlights and batteries out the wazoo, solar for small electronics, 6,500 watt tri fuel generator hooked up to my natural gas with back up propane if natural gas goes out too. As I watch videos, I add crap to my prep list to pick up as time and money permit. To those who haven't started, did I mention it it fun and interesting.
Yeah John, I'm with you 100%. Everyone has different goals and situations and it sounds like you're setup nicely. More importantly you know you "why" and work for that. I totally respect that.
Hey there Michigan neighbor, just found your vlog. My neighbor 's mom always had a pantry like this, and her mom was raised on a farm. It just makes good sense. We started building ours just prior to COVID-19
Great timing Mary. It's never been more important in my opinion. It feels like things could go either way. Between the elections, protests, covid, lock downs, and financial uncertainty, it would be crazy to have the "wait and see" mentality.
@@NextStepSurvival Yep, you're investing in your future, not throwing money away. The financial uncertainty( economic downturn) is something I see coming
This is the most amazing pantry I've ever seen! Thank you for sharing. We are so glad to have found you! We hit the bell! Looking forward to your next video! God bless
Sweet! I don't have the ability to "see" all my storage, particularly the longest term storage (and I was inspired to split it into two locations 70 miles apart--- JUST 2 weeks prior to a 7.5 earthquake it turns out), so I have NOW fully inventoried it on to a spread sheet. This helped me a lot in "seeing" what I have (in both locations) and strategizing my next purchases and plans. I'm impressed with your supplies. It's clear you've done a great deal of work-- so organized!
Sounds fantastic Francine. Our other place isn't setup the same and I need to inventory it. We're here everyday and using the food. It's all long term foods there and packed up.
It's true, at least family and friends that know you're prepping. You have to wonder about those that say their family will be met with a shotgun if they show up hungry because they didn't prepare. I think that's mostly talk. At least I hope so.
Figure about 750 pounds of food for one person per year including protein, fats, carbs, fruits and vegetables. Water at a minimal of one gallon per day...more if you plan to bathe, cook, wash laundry and do dishes.
@@NextStepSurvival Probably just talk but I can understand why they wouldn't be receptive to family rocking up to their door expecting to be fed. Some have sacrificed a lot to build a stockpile while family & friends went out to eat, had holidays, bought cars & clothes. Lot of peppers struggle to put away a little each shopping trip. Why should they feel obligated to give to others who were in better position to prepare for themselves.
Oh, I totally understand Lynnette, I'm one of those people. It's frustrating to work so hard and watch family better off financially have three days of food. I was referring to the folks that act like their gonna shot ain't Jane of the porch if she comes. It's a little extreme. I might say, "Sorry but no" but hopefully things won't get that bad. They absolutely might but I hope not.
We bought our 5 gallon water bottles from Walmart and then we fill them at a water kiosk for $1 to $1.25 a fill for reverse osmosis water. We number them so we use the oldest first. Just another idea that in the end costs less. Your prep room looks great. Good job and thank you for sharing.
Thanks Cherrin, that's smart. I used Wal-Mart's kiosk to fill my juice bottles. It has several filtering processes. You can also buy replacement caps for those large 5 gallon water bottles on Amazon. They're not perfect so you need to store them standing up. At first I was stacking them on their side but a couple started leaking a little.
We do the same at wm@ .39 gal=so $1.95 (no other kiosk around) we use a sandwich bag and a rubber band to cover over the opening so nothing gets inside.
Prepping goals I’m slowly working on my pantry and even made my grandma and mom start too , they thought I was crazy when I kept showing them videos like these a couple years ago and when that shortage happened they admit was right lol 😂
very nice. my wife an i did the same thing, turned one of the bedrooms into a stock room. im a Irish Whiskey guy. but i see i need work on my condiments. thnx you
No, you do not want to meet a pantry moth. They are invasive little snots that are alrrady in the packaging from the stores. Typically from products in cardboard packaging. We do not keep anything opened or any fruits/veggies in our pantry room, only products sealed/unopened or in buckets. The moths drive me insane! Otherwise, we have no issues. Thank you for replying. 💚
I just started buying extra food items a few weeks ago. Im on a budget so I will be doing it a little at a time. This gave me some good ideas so thank you!
I just started a pantry in my tiny closet and now it's bursting at the seams LOL! I love people who are aware of the Need to be prepared. AWESOME! prepper pantry young man. New subscriber 🥰
Awesome pantry! Feminine hygiene products are a must for anyone who anticipates they may be bugging in with females. Nappies if there are babies. Fiber supplements for regularity. Medicine for diarrhea. Toilet paper. Vaseline. The last four might seem weird, but being regular is vital, diarrhea can be dangerous in survival situations, and Vaseline may make one more comfortable when experiencing diarrhea and as it can be used as barrier that can protect from stinging/burning pain. Best to walk through a few days writing down everything you touch and use, to get a complete list of needs. For me, hair ties must be included in any preps. Not only do they tie my hair, but they have heaps of other uses for something so small. Edit: spelling error (talk changed to walk... through a few)
Good stuff Angela and great points. I mix my own fiber supplements to save money. I have an old video at ua-cam.com/video/Y7iqD_l9Xrw/v-deo.html but it's not gery good.
You can also buy feminine products at dollar tree.Im on auto ship with amazon. So I have been stocked.I went to dollar tree to get any possible items .I saw those I got enough that I can trade off with somebody for item.
Fantastic pantry!! I started mine in May, I’m using a room in my basement. Blacked out the windows, added shelving units. Bought 2 pressure canners, vacuum sealer and dehydrator. Canned vegetables and meats all summer and started looking for rock bottom sales to put in my pantry. My husband calls me ‘chicken little’ lol he thinks I’m overreacting, that everything will be fine. I told him I’d rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it lol. The All American pressure canners now have a 5-6 month wait!! I sneak items in every food order so as not to have to deal with his ‘chicken little’ comments haha New subscriber and thank you for this video!
Hi Patti, that's fantastic. You've done a lot in a short period of time. Smart blacking out the windows. You've done your research. Tell your husband it's also an investment in food cost. If things get as bad as some of the news says, you'll be eating on today's prices when prices go up or, even worse, the store shelves empty out again. By the way, I just ordered a 25 quart All American yesterday on Amazon and it is scheduled to be here Tuesday. I just checked and it is still showing in stock. I'm not sure if it's different in Canada. That's something I waited years for. My two Presto's have been going none stop all week. I'm so excited.
okay, I love your idea of that first aid box thing. Half the time I can't find my stupid bandaids and that looks like a great place to store everything!
Excellent video and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour! Very impressive pantry and so helpful for newbies like me. I love it....He dances and works to AC DC and does the canning toooooo!! Far out!! LOL! New subbie here and hoping one day you'll share/do a video on how you make your Jalepeno Jelly! Yum!! TFS!
In an emergency situation you are going to want those carbs. This is a beautiful well stocked and orderly prepper room and I’m very impressed. My only concern is you have announced who you are and shown what you have. I do understand you saying you enjoy rotating and organizing your stock. I find it very satisfying and comforting to know there is food around me. I am not even close to what you have but it will get us by for awhile and I’m always working on it. My biggest problem is protein, water, and space. Once my daughter moves out I’m converting her closet into food storage. My husband thought I was crazy and paranoid pre- Covid then asked if we were ok during the shortages now he’s back to I’m crazy but I don’t hear paranoid any longer. He only occasionally grips about it as he thinks it’s a waste of our money. I call it insurance. I grew up food insecure and I guess that I need that sense of security. My daughter bought me two water straws for my birthday two years ago. The relatives asked what they were and their use. I explained as simply as I could as I had on numerous occasions tried to warn them about food shortages but was ignored. I got some weird looks and my husband said sarcastically “oh good well at least we can drink mud water.” I smiled and told him “no, our daughter and I will drink clean water and he’s going thirsty.” Everyone thought that was hilarious. I just gave our daughter a secret smile. She gets it.
Thanks, I've had similar conversations with friends and family. We had food insecurity as kids too so maybe that's a common factor. I've never really thought about it. Now I'm curious about other preppers.
Hoarding is going out and buying massive amounts of stuff when other people have a need too. What you are doing is called being prepared. Buying small amounts over time is perfectly acceptable. This is an inspiration. I couldn’t possibly do this in my apartment but maybe I can have 3 days or something like that.
I agree with it not being hoarding. The three days of food in an apartment? Not so much. Not judging here but I lived out of a sleeper bunk in a tractor trailer for a decade and always had two or three weeks of food in my truck. It's tough though, I totally understand. 🙂
@@NextStepSurvival An old trucker eh? Makes sense to me, my late husband did this long distance for years. Knew what was what ! I am currently prepping, better late than never. Wondering where is all the dog food?
I love that you're canning Tracy. I'm canning black-eyed peas and ham soup today. I've been simmering the ham bone stock all night. I should have enough for 14 quarts.
Thanks for this tour. Just shows that I have a lot of shopping to do again. I gave away a lot of our stash. Got the garden growing, but that’s never a sure thing until it’s put in the pantry
Thanks Mayra, I got those at Walmart for $80 or $90 each. That sounds like a lot but I only bought a couple racks a year as we needed them. They hold a lot of weight too. I like the black racks but they come in silver too.
I have non-food items and meds/first aid supplies in 4 file cabinets. It takes up the same amount of room as totes, but so much easier to access. I also have 10 of those same racks in about the same sized room as you have. I also have the narrow rabbit trail walkways. I’m the only one in my family who preps as hard as you do. I put on prepper videos and clean, sort & inventory. It’s my happy place. Thank you for showing your pantry, (one of them). Keep some things secret.
Hi Nanny, file cabinets are a great idea. I'm with you about a happy place. Between the pantry and watering my garden, I get to keep my sanity. You're right, I don't show everything or everywhere.
This is a lot more than 6 months of food for 2 adults. You could easily stretch this out to 24 months. Just needs more rice, he didn’t say how much he had. But I would say with what I see on those shelves with 150 lbs of rice and 150 lbs of pasta you are really good for 2 years plus. Remember you don’t pig out during shtf you ration.
I should have done this a long time ago. We don’t have enough and I need to stop panicking and pull it together and get it done. Thank you for this video.
You got a amazing setup ! You sure prepared if something happens . We started stocking up a little more here of late . I have grew indoors for years and this was my first year using a grow tent . I really like it so far . Thanks for sharing this with us !
I really love how you stockpile what you actually eat and that you rotate them all. Nothing will go to waste. This pantry is my goal once we moved from a condo to a house in a couple of years. Thank you for sharing! 😊
@@NextStepSurvival thank you. I am doing my best on what space we have. Currently using our den and an ikea bookshelf to store my rotating pantry. Food is probably good for a month or 2 supply if I will stretch it. 😊
Just found your video and I really enjoyed it! You have given me a lot of great ideas and offered my family great options. Very informative and a good watch. Keep up the great work!
Nice pantry!!! You popped up on my recommended tonite!!!! I do alot of dehydrating and canning myself besides my can goods. I started my pantry in summer of 2019 because of a very bad gut feeling so when march 2020 rolled around i was ok. Now its getting even worse. Still think i will be ok!!!! and by the way hoarding is if you dont use it!!!!! I use mine and dont care what others think.
I just came across your channel and this is very inspiring! I’m a momma to 3 little ones and definitely want to start becoming more prepared, especially with the way the world seems to be going. I’ve been telling my family members to start getting prepared in the event that we actually need to be prepared should something happen. Thank you for doing this!
Thanks Aubrey. You're right, a quarantine is only a couple of weeks and even that takes some real planning when you have small children. And as we've already seen, what's available in the stores today doesn't mean it'll be there tomorrow. You're looking at things the right way, better to prepare than to just hope & worry. 🙂
People stock up on meat today i went to the meat market I paid $7 dollars for ground beef it was only good for 1 hamburger unbelievable I bought it to make a point and show my family that thing as are getting worse
You don’t need to apologizing to us! You have a very good pantry and I love it I learnt very much from you! Thank you for his 🥰 many gratings from Sweden !

Thank you.
well said Carla
Very well said!
Preparing to protect a life that you spent preparing to protect. Have to find a middle ground. Take a vacation.
Agree. People would tease, laugh and bully me because I have 6 month to a yrs of food. When this situation happen and food was gone, they called me to help them.
Whos here in 2024. Great job !
When it snows or storms outside I go into my pantry and look at the rows of fruit and veg I have put up and the canned and dried food preps I have. I feel like the richest and most secure person in the world. This feeling of security is so important for my peace of mind.
I know Aint Bea, I get the same feeling and start wanting everyone to feel it. Especially since it has been proven to work just as planned. 🙂

I've never had someone explain so perfectly why a full pantry and fridge is so satisfying for me.
Yes & Amen!!💥🙏✝️
Well said, salvation army loves me on rotation day every couple months
Awesome that you have the gift section and you have given to others. Great video.
This gonna be everyone that grew up during COVID in 30 years
Yep...My grandparents grew up in great depression era.
I hope they learn from it. The run on TP again gives me doubt.
I think you misunderstood the comment completely. It's exactly the opposite of that. People who endured hard times will prepare like that of our grandparents.
You should be doing this now.

Who'd have thought when we were 16 listening to ACDC, that an evenening of fun in the future would be rocking out while organizing a pantry, haha.
It's true, some things never change, they just smooth out. Quick, someone write that soon to be famous quote down. LOL
Lol 😂 yes same here
For those about to stock, we salute you!
LOL Nice.
Anyone who complained is clearly clueless of what’s happening in the world.
Agreed. After what we just witnessed too. It's crazy.
Preach!
Agree
lol sounds like my kind of fun too. You have one of the best prepper pantries I’ve seen so far on UA-cam. Your family is lucky to have you.
Thanks Mary. I think I might print your comment and frame it. 😊
I think this video is kind of like a visual template that someone could adapt to their own particular situation. This is especially helpful for the newbies!
@@Writerdust Thank you for that. 🙂
Six months for 2 adults. You are being very modest sir. Adding some more rice and pasta 150lbs for each I would say you have about 24 months of food easy!
Quite the room brother, you have now set the bar!
Thanks for that. We actually have over 150 lbs each. I do tend to underestimate things and add lots of buffer into everything
Who cares what people think! It's not hoarding.
Thanks Karli, I'm glad to have you in the prepping community. 🙂
Beautiful 😍
You are NOT hoarding.... You are prepared!!!
@@NextStepSurvival I prayed that God sees you get to it. :)
This is far the most best organized PREP storage ever
Thank you ☺️
I always tell my boyfriend that I want to do something like this… he keeps calling me crazy! But I know when we buy our own house that’s how my basement is gonna look like no matter what he says! 💕😂 love it!!!
Give him a copy of " One Second After".
Start now. In a closet. Even a little may save your life.
It's been 8 months, has your boyfriend came around or does he still call you crazy? lol
Food won't keep where gas vehicles are and temp will make even canned food have shorter life.
this is literally the most beautiful thing i have ever seen! keep up the good work!
Thank you, that's so cool.
Im starting my preps too .. love your pantry
I love seeing all the new preppers Dina. Welcome aboard. 😀
It is Frankie, very rewarding. I've been going over hygiene supplies and doubling down on those. Even little things like eyeglass cleaner q-tips.
That’s what I do too. I’m just starting my one year food storage.
How a storm or action of war dose not effect your storage. Lose your roof and there goes your stuff.😮
Uhhhhmmm.... wowza... probably the best pantry I've seen.... and I watch a lot of videos... you win.... I think you have wayyy more than 6 months
@@rustybarrel516 would like to know where to find one...checked months ago and business established for about fifty years closed down.
Thank you for the idea of putting a date on the front. It’s visually easier (and quicker) to see the date. I’ll put my son to work adding dates on everything.
Yep, that's exactly why I do it. Seeing the date clearly without looking all over the container makes rotation a breeze.
I have started putting different colored stickers on them that indicate the year and I write the number of the month on the sticker. So and orange 3 means it is best be march 2022 for instance. I found it was a lot easier to keep a certain color sticker in the front than look at each item that closely.
@@earthstar7534 That's an awesome idea. 💡👌
What a brilliant stockpile I just can’t get enough of this video God Bless You🙏🏽And Thank You For Sharing 💙
Thank you and God bless you too Kristen.
Seeing your pantry makes me feel so unprepared. I was thinking i had food for at least 3/4 months. Maybe not. Wow.
@J Moore true. We have 4 plus one possibly (fiancé) if things go south too bad.

LOL Well thank you, I'm glad to have you.
Good idea to put a can opener on the shelves. I probably would have tied it to them.
We have an abundance of openers at this point. Three in the kitchen, an electric opener, a regular hand opener and a large can opener in a hand crank. I think there are three backups in the pantry now. 😁
You. Better get that yeast in the freezer it will go out dated where it is the freezer will last indefinitely
You're right Gavin, thanks for catching that.
Once opened it should be good in the refrigerator for several months.
Hey, those are great recommendations. 👍 I'm getting a lot out of these comments myself.

That sounds amazing. And it's super generous of you helping those folks out.
Totally impressed!!! Outstanding!👍👍👍👍👍
Sola, thats a nice tip. I'm glad you had the resources you needed but I hate that you had to go through it.
@@NextStepSurvival - Thanks for the kind words :) Yes, well-stocked pantries are a God-send in times of need...
That kind of incredible upbringing makes you light-years ahead of most. Very cool. 🙂
You have done a wonderful job in prepping! Things thought out so well! Your own store at yesterday’s prices. Love it!
Thanks Chris and I appreciate all the help you're giving to other commenters. That's awesome. 👌

This is just fabulous. I don't want fancy jewelry or cars and junk, just a room like this. 👍
Thanks Rhianon, we skipped a lot of vacations, buying and upgrading over the years to have a little food security. I'm glad we did.
Yep, they're as diverse as we are. It would be easier if one size fit all but we have different needs, goals, diets, and budgets.
Excellent video. You're very organized with your preps. Such an inspiration for the prepper community, Thank you!
Thanks 😊
I have been canning and dehydrating everything in our freezers, it sucks but we lost everything in ours freezers a few years back do to an ice storm and long term power outage, lost a few grand just in fish alone. With everything happening now I just feel better knowing most of our food is shelf stable.Thankfully I HOARDED jars and lids!
That's a nice option. BTW, you can buy freezer alarms that chime when the temperature gets too high. You can also see the actual temperature of each freezer on a display. I have one in each of ours but they do go through batteries fast.
You did an awesome job beautiful stockpile. I love how it's nice and neat everything in order that's what it supposed to look like.

@CJ DUNROVIN Nice suggestions. 🙂
@@NextStepSurvival Sounds like you're going to be busy. The world needs more people like you. :-)

Thanks, and absolutely, I'd be grateful if I never had to touch my preps because of an emergency.
Wow, that sounds amazing. Thank you for sharing that. It's something most of us can aspire to.
I've been watching you videos for about a week now & I read all your blog post. Definitely my favorite prepper. Im a long term prepper for 9 years, with some breaks in between. Thank you for all the amazing content
Wow, you just made my day Jewel. Thank you so much. 🙂

That is an impressive organized pantry. I got. Some great ideas, thank you.
That's awesome Tina, thank you.
It doesn’t take long for it to add up.
If you’re just starting don’t be discouraged.
From Detroit here! Love the stockpile. Something to aspire to. It’s just me but I am presuming I will also be helping other people.
@@chrishamill3170 Exactly why those that plan on bugging out into the woods with packs on their backs might be in for hard times.
You have a wonderful pantry! What a labor of love making sure your family has what they need! Excellent job! Ty for sharing!
Thank you, I appreciate that.

Patti Lilly Richardson.... Welcome! I have the same problem with my husband. I call it "Food Insurance". So glad to hear you are doing some prepping.
Wow you got a great stock pile. Looks great...God bless you.
God bless you too James. Thank you for taking the time to say that.
okay, I love your idea of that first aid box thing. Half the time I can't find my stupid bandaids and that looks like a great place to store everything!
It is nice that it stays right there. It's a little overkill but that's kind of how we do everything around here. ;)
Yum!! TFS!
Thank you. I should do some kitchen videos. I'll give it some thought.
Great job! Very informative. I really enjoyed looking at your preps!
Thanks Julia. 🙂
Wow! The whole set up🤩, just great
Hoarding is going out and buying massive amounts of stuff when other people have a need too.
It's in a thirty gallon drum. I need to do an updated video.
Best prepped panty I’ve seen yet 👍🏽
Thank you Samone. 🙂
Nice looking pantry. People don't realize all the work that goes into making videos. Practice makes perfect. You're doing a great job.
Thank you. Much appreciated.
Stunning pantry, makes me realize how much more we need unfortunately. Pressure canning daily now we need to get organized 👍🙏
Anyone using the words garden and pantry is already light years ahead of the masses. 👍
Amazing job ! I love the organization
I need strong shelving like that
Thanks Mayra, I got those at Walmart for $80 or $90 each.
Thank for sharing! I have just begun my prep journey. This is very inspiring and encouraging. Take care.
Thanks Kylie, you're doing the right thing.
Thanks Kylie, you're doing the right thing.
Thanks Kylie, you're doing the right thing.
I was wondering what a 6 month prepper pantry would look like for 2 people. Thanks
I honestly feel like this is at least a years worth if rationed properly.. lol
This is like over a year for multiple people
I do tend to underestimate a little.
Especially since I've added another three 26 days of protein since the video. That's three of the seven days for six months.
This is amazing. Great job
You do what is best for your family
Never forget that
Thank you Nicole, I'll never forget that. 🙂
I should have done this a long time ago. We don’t have enough and I need to stop panicking and pull it together and get it done. Thank you for this video.
No problem Sable, I hoped it worked. I wouldn't panic though, just stay focused and consistent and you'll do great. 🙂
You got a amazing setup ! You sure prepared if something happens . We started stocking up a little more here of late . I have grew indoors for years and this was my first year using a grow tent . I really like it so far . Thanks for sharing this with us !
My pleasure, thank you.
@@NextStepSurvival Will you do a video of your grow tents ?
@@AaricHale I generally put that kind of thing on Instagram because there's not a lot for a full video. I guess it depends on what I can come up with.
I really love how you stockpile what you actually eat and that you rotate them all. Nothing will go to waste. This pantry is my goal once we moved from a condo to a house in a couple of years. Thank you for sharing! 😊
Thanks Crystal. In the mean time do what you can with what you have. 🙂
Thank you, I appreciate that. 🙂
I agree. We're not hoarders if we use what we store. Thanks for taking the time to comment. 🙂
Thanks for sharing! Just subscribed. I like how you showed it all. Now I gotta get more and have more organizing ideas👍
Thanks Matthew, I hope it helped a little.
Pumpkin is good for pets if they getting a upset stomach. So good to have if You have pets
I've heard that too. We have plenty for that. 🙂
People stock up on meat today i went to the meat market I paid $7 dollars for ground beef it was only good for 1 hamburger unbelievable I bought it to make a point and show my family that thing as are getting worse
We got some good deals this week so I'll be canning some meats. Our freezers are stuffed full.
You don’t need to apologizing to us! You have a very good pantry and I love it I learnt very much from you! Thank you for his 🥰 many gratings from Sweden !
WOW! Fabulous prepping pantry!!! I really like the way you've organized it. Thanks for sharing your expertise. :-D
Thanks Sunny, I hope it helped a few people.
