I've been sitting on a metric ton of these beads from the 80s when bead looms were still raging. I found they make excellent "sprinkles" for my resin donuts!😊😊😊
I don't know if it was the dark blue background or the beads or the low light, but most of these looked a bit muddy. Maybe if the beads had been divided into colors and poured and mixed in bands it would have seemed nicer. Did you have any problems with bubbles from the inside of the beads coming out in the resin? There are white or reflective spots which I can't really tell if they are beads or holes. I wonder what the effect of strung beads on clear nylon threaoad would be inside resin....hmmmm
They turned out really cute! Thanks for the video. I really prefer the relaxing music. It's funny that you asked ; the first time I watched it at the beginning with the more upbeat music, I thought "I am really enjoying everything about this except the music" and I almost turned the volume down. But of course I was afraid of missing anything you said, and then the music changed 😅. I watch all of your videos regardless of whether or not I like the music, you have a unique take on resin art and you always sound so reassuring, I never feel like I am going to screw something up. You are like the Bob Ross of resin art, and I mean that as the best possible compliment. (also thanks for the tip about the toothpick in the top of the pyramid. I'm still kind of new and for the life of me I couldn't work out why some looked broken while others didn't. I low-key thought it was because I was using glitter for the first layer 🙄😂.)
Steve, dear, I am 60 y old and I listen to Slipknot for 'easy listening'. Seriously! I raised my son on heavy metal, rock and roll, country, rap, reggae, Motown, 70s, 80s, 90s, and all the way up. Eminem and Lil Wayne are my two fav rappers, Slipknot I've mentioned and Gary Moore, Enrique, ZZ Ward, Roy Clark, Waylon, Raymond Fairchild, Santana. The list goes on. After saying all of that, ;) I think the easy listening one soothes my soul.
I'm glad you did this. I don't like it at all. I have pounds of similar glass beads from another hobby and I don't like them in resin. Thought it was me but I see its just personal taste. I'm glad you used them. I learn a lot from you Steve
I love the piano music, the second one. First one not so much. I have been around piano music for a lot of years, since the 60s when my eldest sister took lessons all the way through my lessons in the 70s to my children’s etc. I love piano music. Soft melody’s are the best. Some lively if not to loud. So goo choice of instrument.
I like all kinds of music.... especially piano music. It's a nice touch for when you need to speed through any long, drawn out video...and gives your voice a break!🌺
I have a friend who puts colored glass into her rock polishing machine. She makes necklaces with the large pieces...they look like sea glass. She sends me the small smoothed out pieces. I add they to my resin pieces!! It's a visual rainbow of colors!!!
Have recently come across you sir, then while looking at other stuff, came across this one. I just wanna say dont ever let the ugly people make you leave us who APPRECIATE YOU!!❤
That was great. I'm not sure about the music as you have a very upbeat bubbly personality so the music threw me a bit, but that's just my opinion. The bangle was my favourite.
I love how the bangle and the pendant came out the most. That island mold is pretty cool! I'll have to get one of those. I love your music choice. I love the piano. It's very relaxing.
I love your channel! The music is great, here in California where it's chaos, you're the perfect balance to calm the noise. Thank you for inspiring me!
I’m not wild about the music in place of you talking. Glad when it ended. The beads look like some alien caviar, awesome! I love the bracelet most, but they are all very good!
Is it my screen or what, but it looks to me like your clear resin came out kind of yellowy and you can’t really see the beads through it. where is it because it’s almost all beans, that they make the world resin look dark? Great video and I’m very grateful for all the knowledge you’re passing on.❤
Hi Steve, I used seed beads in a resin bead mould , the seed beads that I used are called mahatma too beads, and on the purple ones that are slightly translucent, they looked fantastic, also my other ones in the mahatma toho seed beads are garnet color, not real garnet but they look like garnet, and look great as spheres,, or no hole beads in fact, I made some no hole bead spheres with a small amount of glitter in the no hole bead mould in silver cured it with a home make 8mm glitter bead of a differant color,, then added clear resin with a touch of glitter, cured that and when near the top of the mould, added glitter differant color again and filled to very top of mould with the glitter mixed in a bit,and cured I made 20 beads with my uv resin and my uv lamp, turned out stunning, I realy love working with resin there's so much you can do with it , the music is lovely but I prefer more upbeat, like euphoric pop,not heavy not metal , euphoric classical is beautiful ,take tare Stay Safe.
opinion: It’s a little intense watching the high-speed animation, so I like the calming music then. I also like the music at the beginning when words aren’t so necessary, or maybe a simple caption, like, “You’ll want molds, beads, and resin, plus these tools.” I especially like that you combine music, silence, and speaking (for detailed instruction, or humour, or commentary) in the same video. Many videos just use one, and your videos are more balanced. Nice work.

Not a fan of the music. I need to hear the explanation of what’s going on, that’s why I like your videos so much. So many people are just doing “fast forward” music only tutorials these days, it’s frustrating. I’m not sure if it’s the camera but the beads don’t look very colorful...they look all muddled together. I love the idea of this, though! Maybe less beads would help??

I’m wanting to make an egg shaped stone with resin and crushed tumbled peridot. I’m thinking I’ll place the stones into the egg mold until it’s almost full and then fill it up with resin. Stirring occasionally to mix it in until it’s full. Then stir again to try to remove bubbles. I’m hoping this works. Has anyone else tried this and if so how did it work out for you?
I mix the crushed stone with the resin first, it seems to have less bubbles that way. If you put the crushed stone in dry, you’ll get 1 million bubbles coming up from the spaces between those stones.
@@cathyrodammer4190 can I just mix the bubbles out after pouring it into the egg shaped mold? I’m afraid if I mix it before pouring, the opening won’t be wide enough to pour the mixture in. Even with a funnel. The opening is not very wide. The stones are very small but I don’t know, I’m just worried about it flowing all over the sides of the mold while pouring or it getting stuck in the funnel.
