Great reaction! Another classic slasher from around that time, i personally love, i'm not sure if you have seen it, Urban Legend (1998).
Of course the crown is important. If they find him they see the crown and think she murdered him or has something to do with it. 1 + 1 = 2. And also she has to give the crown back for the new queen next year.
You should check out 'Screamers' 1996. Its a really good movie and it has just the right amount of horror.

If you don't understand, the weird woman 's brother was killed by his father in law who is the killer and got hit by their car , the reason he killed for his revenge is because he is a serial killer, and his son in law killed his daughter and the son in law 's wife 1 year before they hit him by a car accident

No way! Sequel doesn’t have this mistery effect, tho movie is better written, cast is on top, great kills and chase scene (Sarah Michelle Gellar).sequel is all over the place, little bit cartoonish and act is not the best. But I didn’t hate it, it’s just not good as original
