I love seeing folks react to this one! Well done! It's absolutely my favorite King book. You mentioned Gerald's Game, and King did originally mean for both stories to be published in one book, but he split them into two companion novels. The eclipse is the same event in both books, and, while not explored in the movies, there is a supernatural element to the eclipse that connects Dolores and Jessie. The book is written in the first person as well, so I think you'd enjoy it quite a lot.

There were several smaller earthquakes all around the world that happened as a result of this one, one was detected in Alaska. Nature has its own way of function and we do well to remember that the next time that we consume something to the extreme.

Many, many years ago I discovered this movie and 'Night Mother on the same weekend. Both immediately made my top ten movies, and 30 years later both are still in my top ten!

This is the classic that nobody talks about. It deserves much more recognition.

Scream 3 is my least favorite Scream movie. I still love it because I love all of them but it’s at the bottom. They had to do a lot of rewrites and script changes because at the time Columbine happened and a lot of news media and lawyers were coming at Hollywood for the violence in their movies.. so they had to make a lot of changes due to the time. They honestly should have just paused production and waited a year or two but it is what it is.

Caller ID existed but it wasn’t a big thing before the release of the first Scream movie. After the movie’s release caller ID use tripled in the USA.

So refreshing to watch a reaction channel with good observation skills and intelligence. Love your reactions! Kathy Bates is one of the best actresses of all time she brings life to every role she does I just love her.

The film is not about Oscar's life, drugs hallucinations, trips, memories, death and reencarnation. These thougths are very commom, but I agree it is not easy to convey this knowlogments, mainly for those who are immersed in current Western culture. The author tried be trustworthy and non-ditactic . This is the big difficultty. He tried to keep it simple and brougth elements to the history : Tokio with its ligths and images, drugs and a motivation to "come back". I understood him.

Kathy Bates is an absolute legend. And she said Dolores is her personal favorite character that she's played. Also, the connection to this story and Gerald's Game is pretty cool. It's explained way more in the books.

oh this is just FANTASTIC! what a treat for me! lol! my favorite King book by far! it's a helluva read tho, because it's not broken into chapters but the whole book is read as Dolores' testimony. it's a fantastic way to tell a story and (as a native Mainer) it's very much how older Maine women talk. It's a perfect snapshot of the strength and the tragedy of being a woman.
