Big Thanks - A friend and I have a 3 man fly craft and the commentary was very appreciated. With the added bonus about your “late life unhoused plan” 😂
Great tips! I was certain I knew that river and then I saw the little wooden bridge and confirmed. Theres some nice brookies in there and that's a great stretch to float. Love booking it up there from GR area sometimes I'll even do a day trip. Tight lines!
@@alexlafkasfishing just like everything else - sometimes. I think it’s more effective during a hatch as the bugs moving and the little fish are coming up off the bottom.
@@HarleyJetSled I do really well when the fish are drift feeding, ie dry fly season, rising water, even high water. When they are being lazy but still looking for food

Hopefully something in there helped
"Maybe that's just in my head"- perfect professional modesty. Love it. Thanks for another great video.🤘🏻😝🤘🏻
Nothing is 100% in fishing so I continually question everything
Helpful camera perspective and explanations. A great way to see the small details that make a big difference. Thanks!
Thanks Carl. I'm trying to work on that

10:51 I’ve been playing with having the fly rise up in the water column as it passes through the seam. Floating line weighted fly type stuff.
Is it working for you?

@@alexlafkasfishing a short sink tip with a floating runner is something I haven’t fished with.
I’ll give the pause a shot.
Good stuff Alex👍🏼
Thx!
Pro Guide tip of the day - "Always the guides fault"
ALWAYS...unless you're Christopher. Definitely his fault
Alex , once again a great video! Do you find a jerk strip then pause retrieve helps get down a bit faster?
Maybe a little. Usually I'm trying to rip it away from a snag or moved it quickly around something when I do the jerk strip.
Are you running a 6 and the 150gr Rio DC in this situation?
Yep
Just suffer and deal.
I'm good at that
Great observation in Yellow and males biting more than females! See it on jerkbaits too
Hey Alex, love the content! I ran in to you all the time 20+ years ago at Gates. Cool to see you’re still in the game after many moons.
@SpencerDT6 that's great! Yeah, I haven't gone anywhere. I just diversified my program
