Loved how Jalon broke down “Trust the Process”. The vulnerability behind it and moving through something. You don’t always know what the road may look like but you know your destination.
I agree with Omar “IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE” I would like for my man to do exactly what Jalon did but it definitely isn’t expected. 18 people??? That’s not a relationship, it’s an opportunity.
This birthday conversation may just be a cultural difference. In my culture, the host takes care of everything. So if it’s my birthday and I’m inviting you out, I’m paying for the experience and your only job is to come with the good vibes. If people can’t afford this (most ppl can’t) it usually turns into a big celebration at home where it makes more financial sense, but the host still pays for everything. In this case, maybe she expected her bf to adopt this cultural practice. I can see how it’s off putting if you didn’t grow up like this.

As a woman, of course we desire to have a man willing/prioritize going above and beyond for us unprompted. HOWEVER, as a human being, it is extremely unrealistic to expect/require things that you wouldn’t be willing to do yourself. The underlying entitlement and expectations are getting out of hand.
