- In this video entitled, Landscape Photography can a scene be too busy, I continue my journey in Assynt and the Scottish Highlands.
As you can probably tell from the thumbnail I had a couple of very productive days in Scotland. Because the locations were so awesome, I had to cull and cull again my collection of images from the 2 day shoot.
If you liked this video then please consider looking at earlier episodes.
For the record, the following 2 days were even better. Look out for next weeks episode.

Magnificent video Gary, to my mind the best yet. So good I watched twice. The image at 17.24 is outstanding. You really have a wonderful eye for a photograph.
Despite the fact it's a very busy image it's one of my favourite's too. Cheers 👍
Ta perception du paysage, du temps, ton enthousiasme, et ta générosité ajoutent aux superbes image une âme. Merci !

Great shots Gary. The black and white sea stacks against the cliffs at 17:40 is probably my favourite, but they're all beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Some really good images there and competely different to your usual minimalist approach to photography. I particularly liked the B & W image at 17.47 which showed the texture of the rock and cliffs.

Fantastic series Gary. I smiled when you stopped at the wee abandoned cottage on the Destitution Road, it's a must have image.
It's probably my favourite form the video. This location was the reason I went back down South before heading North again. I keep driving past the place but never bothered stopping.

Looking forward to my trip up that way very soon. I love the landscapes in the far north, we have been there 3 times so far but there is still so much I want to take landscape photos.
Hi Gary,
This has been a brilliant series.
Awesome images and drone footage in all three.
You are a genius at, what with the banter and how everything is put together is truly amazing.
Very kind of you to say Tim, cheers 👍

Gary what a beautiful series from your Scotland trip absolutely stunning images 🙌😉
Cheers Chris
Gorgeous images! I struggle with all the chaos in woodland photography a lot. Where I a there are not a lot of choices, and the undergrowth is massively thick at times.
Cheers Mike
Excellent video Gary, your images are always so breathtaking.
Many thanks, Cheers Rich
There's not much I can say other than absolutly brilliant vlog and pictures.
Stay safe and thank you for sharing 👍
Cheers Alex 👍

Once again, so many places I'm familiar with ... you make my heart ache to get back to the north west! You must have had a great time.
Yeah, it was awesome 👍
First class, fantastic images and great commentary.
Cheers Gaz
Another great video Gary, the image at 17m 23s - WOW, just stunning
Many thanks, you're the 2nd person that's mentioned that image. It's one of my favourites too. Cheers Steve 👍
I do love the way you show several images that you have taken, I get a real feel for the place. Although I can imagine it is a lot of drive, stop, walk, shoot & repeat. Like you loved the 3 trees shot at the start.
Looking forward to the next one in the series, take care and keep safe Matey.
Thanks as always Jeff 👍
Wow, what can I say that hasn't been said below - I think this series has surpassed even your own extremely high standards. An inspiration to so many of us, my dream job would be to travel taking images such as these, it shows in these videos how much you love your work and that shines through, please keep up the great work :)
Very kind of you to say Ian, cheers 👍
Mate you work so hard for quality images.
You deserve more subscribers.
Good job Gary 👍🏿
This trip you're on Gary is just a lot of fun to watch. Not only are your images stunning but educational too. Your getting good use of your drone, don't lose this one, lol. Have a great week, cheers.
Thanks 👍 I'm doing quite well with this one :)
Cracking video Gary - was planning on heading up there this week but not any more 😕 your photos are superb - I must stop at the red topped house next time I pass :)
Take care
Murray
Has Jimmy Cranky locked you guys down again? The world has gone nuts. To be fair though, I can see how much you could spread the disease walking alone on top of a mountain 😁😁
Thanks for that Gary, I love those locations and whilst you don't say where they are I recognise every one of them from Loch Assynt, (yes I've photographed those trees so many times in February under snow) An Teallach (the house is now a sort of bothy) to Durness and Duncansby. I can sympathise with you about the weather but that what makes Sutherland what it is. I've really enjoyed this series especially during the lockdown when travel to our favourite places is restricted
Cheers Peter 👍
Absolutely outstanding Gary, I was up the Scottish North West in September but never got the shots I wanted to as I was driving my family around for 10 days. Next year if we are allowed out im going back on my own lol.
Love your passion for photography and its inspired me to get my camera back out and try some of your techniques.
Fantastic images Gary, this has been a great series, we were there in July, loved the place. 😊📷
Midge free I hope? Cheers Mark
@@GaryGough lol, hardly ever midge free.😅
I don't know if it's me .. .but this time I prefer color version even if B&W are fantastic, I definitely prefer the subtle nuances of the color ...
Great once again Gary
Thank you! Cheers! 👍
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice honest video Gary, I forgot my filters at the fairy pools in the snow, 2 & 1/2 miles to the car park needless to say I had to make the most of it
Always honest, daft at time but always honest :)
Lovely photos Gary. Enjoyed the vlog. Pity bout the ads.
Cheers Fergus. There are only 2 fergus. UA-cam inserts 5 in a lengthy video like this, I removed 3 of them, Sorry
For me personally its been a bad year for my photography, with my two landscape photography holiday adventures being cancelled because of the lockdowns. Being a key worker, its been quite tough with all work and no play, but watching this video and the passion that flows from your very being, not to mention the beautiful images, stirs up the fire within me to want to create. Thank you.
It has certainly been a strange time of late. It's been a real strain, especially for key workers like yourself. I'm sure life will be back to normal and one we'll look back on in disbelief.
Stay safe xx
