- When people ask me why I love the Viper (which they don’t) and they don’t have hours to listen to me babble, this is the video I send them to. Jeremy Clarkson’s take on the almighty Viper.
Enjoy before YT’s shit platform strikes it down. - Ігри
I like how Clarkson tends to shit on American engineering….. until he gets into this thing. The Viper’s charm is simply irresistible to the driver.
If Jeremy Clarkson was American he would be a Dodge Viper
British reviewer Tiff Niedel tried the Corvette and the Viper and after the test he concluded that the Vette was head and shoulders above the Viper in every way imaginable
@@karimtemri1664 Keiichi Tsuchiya hates it. The handling is bad at that time.
@@DersNoNem I don’t blame him
What are you talking about he loves American cars. You obviously haven't watched a lot of top gear
That car requires you to be a great driver, that's all.
It really does. I sold my 2001 to a Navy pilot, he wrecked it into a jersey wall a week later, he suffered just a couple cuts and bruises. Before he bought it, I told him to take it to a large space where he could practice driving it because Vipers don't transmit their limits very well to the driver. He never practiced like I suggested, resulting in an ego-reducing accident.
Or "IT WILL KILL YOU !! " In a Clarkson voice 😂🤣😂🤣
@@jakey20022 also in Clarksons voice "I do like it though"
@@MrEkzotic car reviewer Tiff Niedel: the Viper is garbage. No steering feel, gearbox straight from a truck.. just buy the Vette
@@karimtemri1664 I did.
Still the best looking car from 2006
Definitely up there.
yeah i agree
Pure bred killin machine 👌🏽 deffanantly one of the best lookin cars back then
Right you are, good person.
Still better looking than alot of new cars. Nothing had the look of pure evil like those vipers did
I love how over the top and ridiculous the viper is, it's quirks, power, lack of nannys are what make it a Viper and one of my all time favorite cars.
I love this thing. No health and safety nonsense 💪🏼 raw power, manual gearbox and rwd and many, many vents 😝
I saw this on the road a few weeks ago. I gotta say dreams do come true. One of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen
Still haven't seen one in my area, on the road. Sucks
This car was my fucking crush in 2005 MW.
Still is tbh
It's definitely more user friendly than the 1st gen Viper, but it's just as much a purebred race car for the street. It simply has more logical features that the 1st gen didn't have... like side windows and a roof. Oh and door handles on the outside.
The Viper: *Kills someone* "Oops."
Person who saw it: *Gasps in horror*
The Viper: "Oh, you saw that? Get in, and take a drive. We'll talk about it, on our way off that cliff, over there."
Person: "I can't resist such a good offer, from a beautiful car."
Viper: "Oh stop, you're gonna make me crash horribly into a wall, and blow up in flames. ☺☺"
So you like Vipers, but not Corvettes?
@@mikael4126I like both but I like vipers more
And it is one of the most reliable sports cars ever.
Still a dream car of mine, along side a c5 z06 and 02 firebird ws6. Of course id get every car manual and viper/ z06 comes manual only. Good for me then. Long time till then.
C5 Z06's are fairly cheap, you see nice ones selling for as low as 19-20k. To me the Z06 is the more affordable viper, preforms near just as well but it just lacks the viper exclusivity/charm, and lacks the jaw dropping V10.
@@abaddon3735 very well said. The gen 3 viper was 2 seconds slower around nurburgring, but its such a cool and charming car as you said. Actual value I can see why the viper is worth so much more. Im not trying to hate on the c5, in fact being 16 the c5 is the better choice. And the ls1 and ls6 are no slouches either. But the base c5 will get better economy than my ranger with 18-28, over 20 sqaure feet of storage, rides honestly probably better than my truck, 6 speed manual(if I get a vette im not going automatic, for me manual will be a necessity). And a ws6 is more of my ideal "family car"(obviously it is not, but for 16 years ive been stuck in the back of a 2400 lb ford escort zx2. The corvette is the best bang for buck, c6 z06 suspension and anti sway bars swap right on, plenty of fendor or widebody conversions as well as integrated spoilers, spliters, and rear diffuser, cam swap, ram air injection, 275 tires up front 315s on back. This is my ideal build. And maybe eventually a ls3 swap. The t56 can handle up to 700 horsepower so it should be fine. By that point my goal is to pull 1.15 gs on the skid pad and qaurter mile in 11.5.
Very nice choices here. Viper was my childhood dreamcar and it still kicks ass today. My style would be more classic hotrods today like the 70 Road Runner, 68 GTO and 79 Trans Am. I had a 2000 Firebird 3.8L which felt awesome to drive, like a Vette. I wish I had the WS6. Epic car. And the C5 Z06 is epic too.
@@CaptainFALKEN I agree. I’m about 99 percent certain I’ve talked with you on a certain topic, I remember this because Captain Falcon was my smash bros Brawl main. I’d love a v6 or v8 firebird as a daily, I just wanted something a little faster than both(being the z06 to get the speed itch I’ve been chasing, cause 3.9 seconds to 60 ain’t a joke), and even on 20 year old tires it was great by modern standards at the Nurburgring. A viper will just be a fun car, you can cruse in 6th gear and still have plenty of get up and go power for regular driving.
I agree, the GTO was awesome and I have an an friend with a 455 gto(friend used loosely). He’s a real good guy. I’d love a 69 Camaro ZL1, l88 c3 corvette at a 427 1967 C2 corvette
I have become a huge knack of the Dodge Viper SRT-10. 💪
track day Vehicle that under the right hands destroys C8s
Such a beautiful car this. And when Hammond used the Viper ACR in the US Special in Season 19 is amazing all the same.
Hammond didn’t drive the ACR he drove the GTS in that episode. The more refined, road friendly viper trim. I remember that episode so clearly the spec on that viper was stunning!
0:49 "There are two on the sun visor saying that if I drive it, I will definitely be killed." I mean it is a Dodge Viper tbf
Clarkson in the 92 Viper: "This car has no roof. Drive carefully." Clarkson: "No!"
His intro is hilarious...Top Gear has some of the funniest moments
I like the 06. That extra hp later with the 8.4 is tempting though price diff is crazy.
I love how this car gave a “scary” first impression in 2005. Yet the other V10 supercar from 2005…. The Porsche Carrera GT, ended up making the news for killing Paul Walker and ending up in so many other crashes.
Now that I got one. I’m scared if it.
Highlight: V10 engine could move moon out of orbit.
You are driving in a beast mr clarkson
Best car show ever. Too bad Jeremy couldn’t control himself!
Pause at 1:51 Racing it around the track, but no key??
As many times as I’ve watched this I never noticed that. Lol
@@kickwagon I'm very detail oriented, so it wasn't hard to miss for me, lol
They must've filmed that bit later.
If you watch the Drake and Josh movie where Drake steals Tony Hawk's '03 roadster, he turns the key and then to start it, it's the button. Guessing you can take the key out anytime or a trick. I knew a guy with a 71 Chevelle who can start his car and then take the key out with it still running. Similar
Was it the first to have push start?
Such a badass car. I want one so bad
My favorite Viper.
Funny how this is nearly a carbon copy of his review of the SRT-10 convertible.
it is the same car just without the roof
the ford GT 2005 is a 10% bigger carbon copy of the 1960's ford GT40.
Art isn't about originality, it's about imitation.
"Blunt Force Trauma Driving Expirience"--Car and Driver once wrote. The writer then emphasized, THAT IS WHY HE WANTED TO DRIVE IT!!!
Ax killer. Next in my collection.
Comparing the Viper to Patrick Bateman is just one of the things that shouldn't have gone together well, but it did.
Theres something about American "Supercars" like the GT, the Corvette and of course the Viper thats just charming.
The only American supercar is the best supercar
Saleen S7?
@@edizmeteinal7458 viper is not a" me to car" its 8.4 liter monster
Ford gt?
For most people in Europe? Like the Viper? Holy SHIT! Really? Can someone from Europe confirm?
We love the viper
I come from Italy and most people prefer the Corvette but the Viper has its fans.
I from Transylvania I confirm the Viper smashes all other American cars and is our favorite. Especially it’s little bitch the corvette.
The Viper won over Clarkson when it first came out in 1992. It's raw, unfiltered and wild, and it fits him perfectly
V.I.P.E.R. !!!!
God bless America 🇺🇸
Such bad handling you say? Did you see those epic drifts? What are you on about?
The same was said about the Shelby Cobra… then again, the Viper also had Carroll Shelby’s fingerprints on it!
Wow from the side profile it shares a lot of similarities with the f12 berlinetta. :0
Go more like 64 Cobra Daytona CSX2287, to the 62 Ferrari 250 GTO, to the Viper GTS
Almost verbatim the same script as the viper review in England.
Wen dodge was ddge and engine sounded godly not an mp3 soundtrack
still beast
Spends 3:36 talking about how violent and unrefined the car is.
3:37 "I do like it though." 😃😃😃😁😁
Test Drive Unlimited for PS2..
what a top gear season it is?
It’s from a standalone episode called The Good, the Bad, the Ugly.
Summertime season of Top Gear
Jeremy Clarkson can cuss you out and you’ll be the one apologizing.
Sheeeeesh 🙃 this
crazy how the 6.4 L Hemi makes only 15 less HP
More civilized than 80's V12 Countach...?
Tiff Needel tried this and the Vette and believes the Vette is much more fun to drive
