2012 impala is a bit difficult with only 1 motor mount braket & two extra fan bolts on lower part of it on each side is 1 each, my radiator leaked from where upper passenger side fan bolts on. Tried to fix with JB weld & worked for temporary solution but still leaked out small amount each time driven, it ended up cracking even more around that same area I used JB weld. It’s a stupid design & fab vibration constantly caused it to crack around that area fan bolt is held onto by. Bought brand new radiator for 60$ on eBay site & delivered in 2-4 days with warranty! Got an excellent replacement & will attempt to replace tomorrow! I was told removing the drivers headlamp will make access to lower tranny line & hose a bit easier. Did not know had to remove the air cleaner parts. Removing battery helps a bit more as well for easier access to upper hose & fan bolt connection. I almost started to remove the bottom plastic engine cover but glad I did not have to for access to lower part of assembly! Might have to if unable to get to stuff there. Will attempt this tomorrow & record the length of time it takes me. I need to get access to that hose clamp remover thing cuz these clamps are a pain in ass trying to remove with pliers. Easier to just cut damn hose & replace entire both hoses with new type clamps! If cut hoses then only gotta worry about the engine side of hose clamps to deal with & the cost of 2 new hoses with 4 new clamps(the screw driver type)! Saves time trying to remove from radiator in tight spot with pliers can be frustrating & cussing a lot while take break for a minute & keep trying to get that damn clamp off can be a bitch is why I will just cut my hoses. Pull radiator with cut hose & clamp still on cuz radiator is trash anyway!! Just gotta get clamp & hose off engine side after with more room with radiator out of it!! I was also told that if cannot get tranny line clip off then loosen the bolt part of it & it will make easier removal & if radiator is junk it won’t matter. Remove clip after you unscrew it from radiator & radiator removed for better access!! Do not over tighten the fan bolts held on by radiator!! Tighten good but not over tight. Replace both upper & lower hoses to engine prior to reinstall radiator for better access & radiator not in way. Make sure a/c cooler unit is secure to radiator in place, properly snug & do not disconnect a/c lines or anything with that or will need recharge a/c system all over! Cost a shitload if disconnect any part of a/c system!! Will update my progress & any tricks or things to watch out for! As well the true length of time including a break or two with some cussing!!!

You could just disconnected the transmission lines from the transmission the right on top and just pull the whole thing out instead of fighting all that but you probably know that now right???
