So many snobs in the comments saying "don't add x, y or z". Who cares? You're not eating it. While baking is an exact science a recipe like this is a guide. You make it however you like it.
If you want to let someone who makes it thin and runny like water, you go ahead. It's not snobby to talk about stuff, that's what comment section is for.
Holy Cow! Just made this tonight, It was SENSATION! Love finding a recipe that I'm going to enjoy for years to come. Cannot wait to try more of recipes. Thank you for sharing xxx
Hello Nagi, I just have to tell you that I made this recipe last night and followed your instructions exactly. It turned out very well and we liked it. I shall definitely make it again. I used fillet steak too, thats a must to use the best meat. Best wishes from Ann in South Australia.
The gravy's too thin in the video for my liking. But that's no problem to adjust. That is a classic recipe right there. Now I know what I want for dinner!
I made this tonight using roast beef I had cooked Sunday... followed all directions except I added the cooked beef at the very end just basically to heat. It was awesome and delicious and only took about 10 minutes start to finish. So for quicker dinner.... use leftover roast beef or steak 😊
Russians traditionally do not add mustard but do add a lot of dill on top. Unlike other videos on UA-cam I was glad to see that paprika was not used. Never add paprika. That will make this dish more like Hungarian beef paprikash. I don’t know why people use paprika on everything but please don’t use on classic Beef Stroganoff.
My mom tasted it yesterday and she said it Was delicious. She asked for the recipe and They told her They used mushroom cream soup (canned) !! But I Think it must be spectacular the Way you made it!
I don't know in your country but in mine you can find stroganoff (and many other sauces/gravies) in powder, you add cream and that's it. They're REALLY good for a quick meal.
I use gently cooked sirloin strips. I use quite a lot of well sauteed onions and mushrooms. I use beef consume. I use yellow mustard, as well as sour cream. I really enjoy my recipe.
Hi Nagi, I generally used this sauce (your recipe) when I cook pan fried rib eye steaks. It's ridiculously good. Thank You Mark Nicholson (Retired) Former, US Army - EFMB, Combat Medical Specialist
There is a crucial element you did not mention: After everything is done we must to cook the recipe during about 3 hours for the meat to be tender. Otherwise it's hard and chewy.
Actually he didnt miss a step. Notice their was no talking in the video. They also didnt say when to add the sour cream. When every i watch a video in how to make something i lool in the description box. Amd be hold theirs always a link. And when you go to the link they give step by step directions.
First time for me , liked it very much, fast and good, going to make it today , Thank you very much , looking forward for more videos , thank you again ❤️🌹
beef, onions, flour, tomato paste, sour cream, salt, black pepper, vegetable and butter ... ALL !!! no mushrooms! if tomato paste 1 tbsp, then sour cream 4 tbsp, flour need to roll meat so that when frying it does not lose juice! Tomato paste need a little fry .... Hello from Russia with love)
and freakin delicious ! Boeuf Stroganoff is some of the best to eat that can happen in your life. Did she forget the hint of white wine in the sauce ? Need to look at again :-)
A very good version. I appreciate you don't use cucumbers. What my wife and I like to add is bay leaf and some white wine (before we add the broth). When we want a modification we add red wine instead of white and just a teaspoon of tomato paste. Perhaps a little sugar. (An alternative side dish - mashed potatoes.)
One of the best meals in the world. So good. American beef stroganoff. The only problem I have with this video is the execution. The beef broth should have either reduced more before adding in cream (which should be added when heat is lower) Or a tiny bit more flour. Or using tomato paste in addition. The reason I say this is a problem is the sauce was quite thin for how most prefer. Also you don't mention cooking out the flower or many of the smaller important tips for a finer result but I mean I do understand this was supposed to be extremely basic conceptual post. Edit: additionally it's better to braise the beef at the end for another hour just to end up with a very soft finished beef. I know I sound like a snob but the details make either very good food (as this looked) or incredible, romance yourself and whoever is with you, make you happy and fill your soul with warmth food.
I loved the meat cooked this way and added Worcestershire sauce along with salt, pepper and garlic granules for a marinade. However the dijon mustard made the sauce too bitter to me. I would not add that in the future. It was not the normal taste I've come to associate with beef stroganoff, but that's just my personal preferance. Thank you for your recipes
Why sour cream? And not regular cream? When i do sansade stroganoff i use ordinarie cream? Is online about the taste? Or would it rock the whole dish? What is the beef called?

Never knew “Stroganoff” was Russian 🇷🇺. lovely country with lovely food! I am from Brazil and I have been eating this for my entire life!
🤣
Absolutely gorgeous! Exactly how I make it too. But I do add sour cream after the heats been off.
I heard about that. Otherwise the cream will curdle.

Paprika doesn’t even taste like anything it has no flavor so it’s not really a big deal.
Haitian Down South Paprika has no flavor? What kind of paprika do you have in your country?😅
Interesting to try with Mustard.
Ew
Paprika is glorified food coloring in my opinion. I add it to foods that I want to have a deeper color.
The recipes are so easy to follow. You are inspiration.

I use sirloin and cook it medium rare to start with and just a little longer in the sauce to finish cooking it. Mine is tender and yummy.
Well made videos, good photography and nice music. Recipes look great. I look forward to seeing more.
Good vid. I used to make this all the time. Then I forgot. This short video is a perfect “refresher” course. Nice one ✌️

Made this last night, very nice thank you
This looks so delicious. I was surprised that you added mustard. I have to try this.
Add a dash of worcheshire sauce
If I liked mushrooms I would love it, but my husband adores it and I make it often
yieeeeeeeee
This sounds good. I would use brandy, red wine and creme fraiche. I'll skip on the dijon.
you can skip and dance on the dijon, you can drink the red wine while you cook!
This looks super
It may not be entirely traditional but Smoked Paprika is a great addition for this recipe IMO.
This looks so delicious 😋

Great recipe and I liked the music, who is it?
Lajk divna prezentacija, divan recept.
Made this last night-turned out great, but the mustard flavor came through surprisingly strong. Next time I will halve the mustard.
Try a little dry white wine like Chardonnay instead of the mustard. Still kicks it up a notch without the bitterness.
This is probably a dumb question, but can I use chicken broth? Or would that completely change the whole taste of this?
Loved it I'm hungry already

Can I substitute sour cream with all purpose cream? Just on a sweet side..?
You can more than likely use Greek yogurt
