  • Starting another new page in this Altered Book Art Journal inspired by my zen garden space. This is a two part video as it was quite a long process! Part two is coming soon!
In the first part of making this page I used:
Distress Inks in Peacock and Dusty Concord
    Derwent Inktense watercolour pencil
    Liquitex Matte Gel
    Windsor and Newton white gesso
    Part 2 coming soon....
I hope this inspires you to get creating!

My two favourite colours. I think I might have to start one of these projects. Tfs

You certainly have patience! Reason you used white gesso as opposed to clear gesso or the matte medium over your wreath? Just curious about the reasoning behind the choice. 🤔🥰❤️

Thank you Love & Light 💜 I always use what I have to hand and I didn't have any clear gesso - there's no reason why clear gesso couldn't be used for either of those bits if you have it :-)

What is the Jesso you are using? Is that like modge podge?

Hi Jamie, gesso is like a slightly chalky acrylic style paint that is great for priming surfaces so your paint or ink doesn't sink in to the page so much so you get truer colours and with inks it means you can move them around the page more before they dry 🙂
