- Guys we picked up a 1987 HONDA TRX250R - and our plan is a full moto style build… stay tuned as we go thru this QUAD from top to bottom.. and show you guys all of the steps on making it “ mint “ again .
This is "part 2" tear down - follow along as we take you step by step to get this quad torn down to the frame.

Do they re zinc or just vapor blast?

I went with Bendpak - it is really well built , price was decent and it goes up really high which helps my old man back… lol. Compressor yes but a small one will do it

Why did they only make the trx for so short a time? Never understood it.
it sort of sadly ties in to when they banned the trikes in the late 80s… honda stopped selling anything “high performance” till 99 when the 400ex came out
You can thank the lawyers and irresponsible parents. The 250R went up 1k from 88 to 89 just to cover the liability costs to Honda.
@@867diesel I'm not bitching, I am making a point about how idiots and their lawyers first killed 3-wheelers and then the 250R.
I never understand why some buy Snap-on cordless tools I think 14.4 V 3/8" Drive Impact Wrench is like $600. You can buy other brand name cordless tools half off that price . And they work as good as Snap-on or better just wondering that is all
“ they work as good” MAYBE yes it spins in/out the same. But my fav feature is the rocker switch… which im not sure if others have? Either way we have 6+ of these floating around the shop and they have been rock solid. Sadly my Milwaukee stuff has had issues but still use them as back up. We did try the bauer impact from harbor land and it has been Ok for tightening fixture bolts
