Awesome analysis! The 911 is my unicorn and it’s great to see that in large part the values in the older generation are holding their own. Great job as always!
We need an UPDATED version of this video brother!! The market has changed so much in 8-9 months. I requested it on one of your other vids also!! I know you're busy and we really appreciate your hard work. We support what you do and Thank you!!
I am very interested in the Targa Market and if you buy a 992 Targa possible ideas on where the market will go in respect compared to the 991 targa. And if any options make a difference in resale.
Great as always. And I love the graph at the beginning showing the differences across all generations. Seems like if you have any amount between $50k and $250k, the used 911 Turbo market has an option for you (although I’m not sure how long the 996 market will remain that low).
As an owner of a 991.1TTS I am happy to see this information. Unfortunately the car I would like to trade this in for is a McLaren 720 S which is actually gone up in value for used vehicles. Keep up the great work and thanks for the video.
Of course I did. That’s what I am basing my comment on. That and I have been watching the market as well. I was hoping they would be down to the 200k range by now. Unfortunately they have gone back up to the 235k and up range. Thanks for doing these. Also your analysis are typically based on asking prices. Who actually knows the sales price.
Are you planning to analyze the GT4 again? Specifically how the 981 is holding up in relation to the 718. I know you’ve done it before, but with covid everything seems to have changed. Thanks for all your videos!
The last GT4 video (which you perhaps already saw) is from 3 months : ua-cam.com/video/Hu8rmpyxszc/v-deo.html . I will cover this market again in 3 or 4 months and plan to also include the 718.
How about analysis on a classic sedan: Mercedes 500E/E500. I do appreciate all of the in depth cost of ownership analysis. Though I agree (somewhat) with having really expensive bought by people that (typically) have more money than brains, it is not always the case and I for one appreciate what you do.
Hello Sir! My hat is off to you, your analysis is fantastic. Any chance of doing an analysis on Series I Jag XKE? Thank you for all you do for our car lovers community.
I wonder how much of this has changed since April?? Seems 991.2TTS prices are still crazy high. I don''t have intension on selling mine (2017) but nice to know they're still up.
Excellent content. I have a request! Please do an analysis of the Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro. I am very interested in this specific model and trim. They are very rare for Toyotas, and lot of people seen appreciation in first year of ownership!
Good video as always ! Suggestion for a future video: Porsche 718 GT4 manual vs PDK depreciation analysis. We already know that the 991.2 GT3 manual sells to a premium in the US. Do you think the GT4 will follow the same tendency ?
Perfect video! Looking to buy a Porsche but would like to have a convertible. Probably not the best investment but oh man, love the wind in your hair. Which 911 convertible is the best to buy??? Alvast bedankt en succes!!
These are great videos. Have you considered the truck market. Trucks are so popular it may get some additional market attention. I have a 2013 Tundra which doesnt seem to depreciate much. TFL trucks is a youtube channel. Perhaps a segment with them on various trucks would be a way to capture more viewers. You should consider partnering with Doug Demauro on cars and bids.... Great videos...
Great to hear that you like the videos. I have one video on the F150 raptor (ua-cam.com/video/IqmHAyc1rzM/v-deo.html ) which did quite well. As I'm from Europe, i'm not too familiar with the truck market so a collaboration is a good idea.
Toyota Supra 93-1998/2002 JZA80 2JZ-GTE Targa LHD V160/6.Speed Manual Gear Thats be interesting, what is going with this market, the prices are going up and up....
Please evaluate the following: I am particularly interested in the 2023 911 Turbo S Cabriolet which I have been following for the last 9 months and have to say that the 2021 through 2023 prices are significantly above their original MSRP...I mean insanely higher. Why? I ended up buying a 2023 for $40k over MSRP which is about where the whole US market is right now. 2024s are almost impossible to get and the blame keeps being on chip shortages and the end of Ukraine made wire harness . This will be my last Porsche. Don't get me wrong...I'll enjoy it fully but am still astonished at the pricing and suspect Biden has at least something to do with it.
Great content and information as always but listening in my car while driving, the whooshing sound effects are really terrible.. just some constructive criticism. Still thumbs up!
This anal analysis of cents and dollars takes all the joy from the reason one should own a Porsche Turbo. If cost and depreciation is really this important to someone, then perhaps they should not be looking at a Porsche Turbo to begin with.
How about....more enjoyment in car and less worry about price depreciation? It's like you have top tier girl that you don't f@#k. In any case both will depreciate over time. Btw good analysis ✌️
If you ever do an updated R8 video, message me. I have been saving data on the Manual Coupe V10’s. My data shows this particular model has gone up over 40% in the past 9 months.
How about a showing top 10 vehicles holding residual values instead of videos dedicated to individual cars. However, instead of it being a list of some boring Toyotas not many people care about, potentially doing top 10( or 5 / 3 if too difficult) for each vehicle segment (luxury sedan, luxury SUV, luxury crossover, sports car / coupe, and then non-luxury equivalents).
Building further on this, I enjoyed your video capturing COVID Pandemic impact on the car market, but the range of vehicles were a bit too specific to keep interest. Would be interesting and cater to a larger target audience to see a more holistic market view across different segments (SUV, crossover, sports car, luxury, etc). Can remove a lot of the noise and just focus on the bigger gainers and losers of value or notable changes.
Would love to see an analysis about G-Wagons :)
Awesome analysis! The 911 is my unicorn and it’s great to see that in large part the values in the older generation are holding their own. Great job as always!

No new inventory pressure is driving up all 911’s. Considerably. Dealers are asking crazy money for decent 991’s

Post pandemic GT3 analysis would be great. A lot of people can't/won't buy a GT3 right now due to the market.
The gt3 video could use an update indeed.
