  • Wondering what all the fuss is about peptides? They’ve been linked to everything from weight loss to hormone production, quick healing, and even tanning. Maybe you’ve heard athletes, celebrities, and media personalities talking about taking them and you’re wondering if they might be worth a try? If so, this video is for you.
    So, why have peptides become so popular? What even are they? Peptides are short chain amino acids involved in everything from metabolism to tissue regeneration, digestion, and more. Your body produces more than 7,000 peptides naturally, but when taken in isolation-usually injected-they can have drug and hormone-like effects on your body.
    Peptides have been used in medicine for a century, and there are over 60 FDA approved versions (insulin for diabetics being one of the most common). But more recently “research labels” and social media have pushed experimental peptides to the forefront - and people are taking them like crazy.
    Why? Because the general assumption is that peptides are safer than pharmaceutical drugs or exogenous hormones. However, this is just a theory, and most haven’t been tested on anything except mice, so we don’t really know.
    In this video I’ll help you get a better understanding of what peptides really are, how their use has evolved, the risks of using them without medical supervision, and most importantly, best practices for safety. Let’s get started!

    99% of mainstream endos and PCPs will have zero clue as to peptide therapy. One is best advised to seek out a functional medicine doc, wellness/antiaging clinics that specialize and are trained in HRT and peptide therapy. They're out there.

    I tried Melanotan 2 and after only 10 days of use I disconvered multiple moles on my face.
    I then decided to stop it immediately and I had a consultation with a dermatologist.
    Nothing malignant was discovered, but I regret the use of Melanotan.
    I am currentlu using GHK-CU, and I can say I have a very smooth skin and my hair is much darker than before (less grey hair than before).
    I hope this can be helpful and interesting.

    The common feature of semaglutide and insulin: Their use for type II diabetes and weight loss forms a dependency with dire consequences when you stop using them. You’re better off using dietary and lifestyle changes - if possible - to reverse insulin resistance, ensure safe results and to sustain the benefits. I wonder how many of the experimental peptides require use for a lifetime to maintain the results.

      Hi Constance! It's certainly possible. I wouldn't rule out options, and again, all peptides are not the same. If your doctor recommends HgH stimulating peptides for joints and you have blood tests to watch for problems, it might be worth considering.

      Show me one study showing a cancer connection with peptides

    • @YOGABODY.Official
      @YOGABODY.Official  7 місяців тому +1

      Peptides are a very broad category, so not so much about peptides the category but specific peptides commonly used like HGH stimulating hormones. HGH makes everything grow (think: distended abdomen of body builders). We all have cancer cells in our bodies, all the time. Men in the 2nd half of life very commonly have cancer cells in their prostate as an examples. It's a very possible risk that HGH stimulating peptides can make that grow. If you search around, you'll notice that young (under 50) body builders can cancer very often. A prevailing theory is their anabolic use stimulates cancer growth. To be clear, research is pretty poor and mostly mice with most of the off-label stuff, so it's possible it's safe. Also possible it fries your liver after 3 years... hard to say.

      I think it's a little more nuanced than that, I think many of us have very different desired outcomes / risk assessments. One person wants to look good at all costs, another wants to win races, another wants to live healthfully into their 90s. There is some overlap but the choices will be largely different.
