- 💉Have you ever had trouble reconstituting your own peptide vials at home?
We understand it can be confusing so we created this video to walk Sally, a complete newbie, through the entire process.
📝Follow along for a clear step by step process as we show Sally how to read your titration instructions, assemble the needle and syringe, how to draw out the bacteriostatic water and mix it with her vial of powder.
DISCLAIMER: This video was meant to be a visual demonstration of how to inject the sterile water and then how to withdraw your medication with an insulin needle. Not all vials are equal to the ones we prescribe to our patients. Therefore, we recommend asking your pharmacist or prescribing provider about the specific volume and milligram amounts that you would want to use for your specific prescription.

Hello my vile is 5mg. My dosage is supposed to be .5 how much of the liquid should I inject into the vile?
Hi i have a 5 mg bottle how much water should i add ? I want to take 0.5 mg dosages
I have a 2.4 mg sema how much bac would I use?
Thank you for the video! I am new in this and still doing some research before starting. So for how much time does the medicine is good after reconstituted? And how can be stored the reconstituted medicine? I know that many peptides have to be used right away is reconstituted, but what is the case of Tirzepatide for example?
Surely! It would be ideal to ask the pharmacist this question; our pharmacist usually says our medications are stable for 30-90 days from reconstitution, on average. Please keep your un-re-constituted peptide in the freezer until ready to re-constitute it, as that will keep it viable for months.
From my research reconstituting like this can damage the peptides. You are not supposed to just depress and shoot/spray the syringe of bac water into the vial of powder. Once again, from what I ready you should be dripping the bac water slowly down the side of the vial into the powder to avoid damaging the peptides. Any thoughts on this?
couldn't hurt; we'll check your comments with our pharmacist.
Generally, the most sensitive peptide is Mots-c and for that one, pharmacists do recommend a slow reconstituting process, but the other peptides are usually safe regardless of the technique used.
Correct
Are you guys able to provide that instruction sheet for the trizepitide?
you could email us at info@joywellnesspartners.com and request it.
I found a peptide calculator so just seeking some clarification to see if it's accurate, I guess. A 16mg vial of Reta powder I'd use 1.6ml (or 160 units) of BAC water or would I add more? I would be trying to create as many 1.5mg strength doses as possible.
please contact your pharmacist or prescribing provider to find out the intended concentration. thanks!
I have a vile of semaglutide 10mg …. How much water would i put in to mix the powder ? On a 100unit insulin syringe ?
we recommend asking your pharmacist or prescribing provider.
I have a 2 ml of 10mg tirezapate peptide as well as the same size bacteriostatic water. I’m confused to how much water I would put in it..also does 10mg mean strength? And how many uses would I get out of it? Would I be able to use that vial to start 2.5 dosage and go up from there? Or is it just a month supply of 10mg
we suggest you speak to your prescriber or the pharmacist who made your medication about these dosing and concentration questions.
the starting dose is usually 2.5mg for 4 weeks , so from your 10 mg vial you shou should be able to use if for four times. if you add 2ml into the 10mg, then 2.5mg will be 0.5ml every week,
The problem I keep running into is when I do the mixing I never Find an answer on how many times or how many dosing I can get out of it how many weeks of doing one dose can I get out of this vile? No one ever talks about that
….
If you get it from a prescribed doctor in your area they or the pharmacist can help you understand all that :)
Do you supply the small syringes to inject?
yes
I’ve got a 10 mg vial of retatrutide, how much bac do I add for weekly dose? Thank you!
hello! please contact your prescribing provider for this answer!
Hi there
I've got the same....but don't know how much I have to put in and how much to inject.
Did you find out?
6mg vial of Reta powder I would add 1ml (100 units) of BAC water....or less?
please contact your pharmacist or prescribing provider to find out the intended concentration. thanks!
i got a 10 ml of tirzepatide i need 4 2.4 ml doses how much water must i reconstitute?
Please contact your prescribing provider for these instructions.
I havea 30mg bottle of Glp1 how much water do i put inside?
we advise you ask your prescribing provider or the pharmacist who made it for you.
I have purchased a 6 MG vial of semaglutide, how much ML of bacteriostatic water do I add to it to use???
please contact your pharmacist or prescribing provider to find out the intended concentration. thanks!
I have a 26.2 bottle of trizepitide. How much bac water should I add?
the amount of water will depend on your prescriber, as we have custom concentrations based on our manufacturer / pharmacist. please reach out to your prescriber for the best concentration for your medication.
if you want to take a 15 mg dose of tirzepatide in powder form and you need to mix with 1ml of bacteriostatic water, and 1ml=15mg, then isn't that only one dose?
yes, but typically our patients are being dosed in "units" like 15 units, so there are 6(six) 15-unit doses in 1mL. Check with your prescribing provider to clarify.
Mine is 10 ml powder. How much bac water to use and then how many units will i have?
please contact your pharmacist or prescribing provider to find out the intended concentration. thanks!
I have a 40mg bottle of tirzepatide. How much water do I add? My dosage is 5ml for 8 weeks
We’d advise you to contact your prescribing provider or pharmacist for these instructions. They are usually included with your prescription.
I have a 5 mg semiglutide how much bac water will I add?
It's ideal to follow your prescriber's instructions when reconstituting, as their guidelines will be specific for you.
2 ml
@nunyabizzz1135 is this the same for Tirzepatide?
I want a concentration of 5mg/.5 ml. I have 26 mg of dry concentrate. How much bac do i add
the amount of water will depend on your prescriber, as we have custom concentrations based on our manufacturer / pharmacist. please reach out to your prescriber for the best concentration for your medication.
How long is the reconstituted medication good for? Is it only 28 days or can it last longer? Say i decide to inject every two weeks instead of every week, is the mixture good for 2 months? (Or longer)
Thanks!😊
We typically ask our pharmacist these questions, as they can vary per medication or per pharmacy.
@@joywellnesspartners Well, could you please ask them and let us all know? I am sure there are more people wondering and unable to reach anyone to give them that info 😊 I'm asking about tirz🙃
@@sarasrandomz it varies based on prescription so it’s best to consult with the prescribing provider or filling pharmacy, as these are best done via prescriptions
Can I reuse syringes? If I’m reconstituting
no!! Every time you use a syringe it dulls the needle and using it over and over can cause scarring
and for reconstituting, it is best practice to use a fresh needle each time as well.
You can but it will dull the needle and hurt more. But if you don't have a choice and you're out of needles what else can you do? LOL.
It's smart to use ONE needle for reconstitution only...and a new needle to put into your skin. So it's not dull. I have a lot of experience with needles so I know what I'm talking about.
Can someone please reach out to me and tell me where i can order some of this from a reliable source not to expensive please.

Can’t we just add 1:1 ratio? Meaning 5ml in a 5mg bottle??
We’d advise you to contact your prescribing provider or pharmacist for these instructions. They are usually included with your prescription.
what type of water is it?
im pretty sure its bacteriostatic! basically just super clean water lol
Where are you guys getting your tirzepatide for reconstitution?
we prescribe them through compounding pharmacies to our patients.
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are made with long chain amino acids/peptides. Those are powders so they have to be mixed. That is all Eli Lily and Nordisk does before putting the mixture into those pens.
@@joywellnesspartners do you have link so i can get a prescription please?

What needle is used to do the initial reconstitution ?
usually a 20 gauge needle is best to draw up the sterile water.
@@joywellnesspartners 1.5 needle ok?
I need some help I have 3mg of powder. My prescription says 80 units per week. How much water do I add
we suggest you speak to your prescriber about reconstitution guidelines.
What kind of syringe do you use to transfer the BAC water to the tirzepatide powder vial?
typically a 10 mL syringe with a large-bore needle.
@@joywellnesspartnerseach one of the 1 ml equals 10 units on the orange syringe?
I have a vile of 10mg and 15mg of Trizepitide how much Bac water do I add to each please?
If you want to keep it simple, add 1 mL BAC to 10 mg or 1.5 mL BAC to 15 mg. Therefore, you will have concentration of 10 mg/mL in both situations. Lastly, if the dose you want to take is 2.5 mg, then you would draw (assuming you are going to use a standard 1mL insulin syringe that has 100 unit total marks = 1 mL) 25 units (0.25mL). If your dose is 5 mg, then draw 50 units (0.5 mL). Search for reconstitution calculators online as well to double check your math and what random people on the internet tell you to do!
Thank you so much!!!
yes thanks UA-cam community for your responses!
I have a 5mg bottle so I would use 50ml of bac water? Then take 25 units for 2.5 mg?
Thank you thank you…@@mind_box
I have a bottle of 30mg tirzepetide. How much water do I use? Thanks
hi! please contact your prescriber and they can give you your directions for reconstitution.
Is this even legal? I thought tirzepatide is still under patent !
You can’t patent a molecule - the patents out there is for treatment not the substance
