Hey Ben, i had to come back to this ^^ I remembered the "Please update the user interface" was a feature request made some time ago in the Adobe's feedback forum, so here is the link, so you can vote on it too: feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/lightroom-classic/lightroom-classic-cc-user-interface/5f5f45d64b561a3d42626105 OR We go the other way around, and make Lightroom CC work with local files so it solves the question of holding off migration from Classic: "Ability to specify which files should be local only (not uploaded to the cloud)" feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/lightroom-desktop-cloudbased/lightroom-cc-ability-to-specify-which-files-should-be-local-only-not-uploaded-to-the-cloud/5f5f45dc4b561a3d42639fc8 I've voted on both, the more the merrier.
Cool video for an old debate :P I honestly don't get the people not wanting a UI update to Lightroom Classic. I wish Lightroom CC could be used with local storage, but for now, i'll be stuck with the ancient looking, dust gathering, overly-complex, visually unappealing Lightroom Classic CC Adobe can't push great software because of bunch of dinosaurs... shame.
It really doesn't make much sense why people wouldn't want a UI update... Like, even leave the tools where they are for the dinosaurs but make things look better at least??
@@BenRaddatz Exacly! Keeping same everything with updated look would be meeting in the middle i guess, so no adaptation time for anyone and it would look more coherent with the whole Adobe lineup
Thanks. One key point to add is connectivity or quality and reliability of connectivity. I assume handling photos in the cloud and primarily editing them requires a minimum download and upload speed not necessarily available everywhere. For sure not in Central London (Soho), where the best consumer offering is 15-18Mbps download and ~1Mbps upload. Stefano
Hi Ben Great explanation of the differences between the 2 versions. I have a question I'm hoping you may be able to answer. I have been using Lightroom Cloud Version for 3 years and have decided to switch to the Photographers Package where I get access to Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. I want to migrate all my photos from Lightroom Cloud Version to Lightroom Classic as I only get 20gb of Cloud storage with the Photographers Package and want to get all my 9000 photos back on to my hard drive to migrate into Lightroom Classic. Is there any easy way to do that? Thanks Mike

Tried classic right now, didn’t know how to export the edit to my phone and ended up losing the edit 🤦🏻♂️😂 I’ll stick to CC lol
Yea, the swap-ability between CC and mobile doesn't really work work classic, sorry you lost the edit!
