When I select clips and type +100 nothing happens

Thanks Ben - I’m just getting on-board with this after a trip to Sicily. I have what is probably a very basic question: With "Finder" on my Macbook Air, I can access the original photo files (Macintosh HD > Users > “username” > Pictures > Photos Library.photoslibrary > originals) that otherwise are accessed through the Photos app. To get to the "originals" folder, I must right-click on the .photoslibrary directory and select "show package contents" to get to the "originals" folder. I cannot seem to get to this directory in Adobe Bridge. In the "pictures" directory I see the .photoslibrary, but cannot get any further. A work-around is to export all of my photos from the Apple photos app to a separate directory, but that doesn't seem to be the most efficient. Would you have any other ideas?

Wow, I have been looking for something like _Watchtower_ for a while now. 7:42 _"…excluding folders…"_ It would be nice to have a way to say that excludes folders that start with certain characters. I use an underscore a lot, for folders in Finder, to be "pinned" to the top of the files list. I can imagine that I could use an exclamation mark as the start of a folder name, to be excluded. This way I can include that into my naming convention of my project's folder structure. I will buy a license, and add a feature request, in case that option is not yet available. EDIT 1: I think that at 8:31 you talked about expressions. Maybe that will be my answer to the "problem" EDIT 2: Yes, it does what it says. It uses Regular-Expressions to do the "filtering" stuff. I am not a RegEx king. But there are sites that can generate the RegEx patterns. But, ChatGPT can generate the RegEx search pattern, by just telling the GPT what you want. That's what I usually do nowadays...

Ben you're a star. Thanks a million for your instructive tutorial. I was able to create a reasonable profile for the 7Artisans 18/6.3 UFO II within just half an hour. I kept it very simple, I just pinned the DIN A4 home printed chart with the largestr squares (A4, 5x9, 72 points) on my garage door and took the 9 sample images. Maybe it's not perfect, but for the moment it is good enough, and the UFO is a fun lens anyway. I've already contributed a number of Lensfun xml profiles, and now, thanks to your tutorial can do the same also for Lightroom. I mean, theoretically, it should be possible to convert an existing Lensfun xml profile to Adobe lcp but I've not found a converter yet. Pls let me know should someone know such a converter. (There is a converter to transform lcp into xml but I had no success with it.) Cheers - Martin.

I just tried doing it for a new lens that has some pretty bad barrel distortion and it's giving me that stupid error message for all of my images. My pictures look no different than your example so not sure what's going on. Any suggestions?

This application is only useful for organizing low-resolution web images. Every time you import a file, it copies the file to a single database. If the database gets corrupted, you lost everything. I think it's stupid and selfish on the part of the developers not to offer an option to use it by referring to the location where the files are located in Windows Explorer.

Hey Ben great video! Using midi2lr since years! But just realized that the "steps" for my temperature are way too big. When use the wheel it jumps in "400" steps instead of like 150/200 steps for the temperature. Is there a way I can customize the steps and make them smaller? Hope you understand me...thanks

I want very much to continue using Adobe Portfolio. However, there are some pesky quirks that I cannot seem to find work arounds for. Specifically: the logo. Apparently, I can either have text OR an image. There is no option to have both, as in an icon/logo/image file with clear text laid out next to, above/below, etc. Similarly, while Adobe gives me options for what the logo section does on rollover, responsive (mobile), again: i'm hemmed in by the EITHER/OR nature of text OR image. Think: Have text displayed on desktop/wide view, but below responsive threshold, have the text switch to an icon. All of which may sound trivial. But its a few of these annoying design (IMO) omissions that keeps me rolling my own in Bootstrap.

Now maybe I am wrong but the first part of the episode looks like all things you can do if you make the finder window just a little bit bigger. I am not saying that Bridge is not an incredibly powerful tool but if you just want it for that purpose and you use a mac unlike us unlucky windows explorer users it may not be neccesary

At this point "Penpot" is the best XD alternative imo. You should check it out! Penpot is open source and just got out of beta.
