More of us should do the same for all the success that Richard gives to us. He always thanks us for all that we do for the channel, but we need to thank him for all he does for his fans.
I agree! Please show us ur best crappie fishfry ingredients as well as the type of oil u use. I love my fish fry’s cooked in peanut oil but dang it’s expensive!
Richard, did you ever realize how much we all love watching you catch crappie and showing how to do likewise..I really appreciate your love you share..you are a special person..
Richard you are the most knowledgable fisherman I have ever seen, I will give it a try! You are the best fisherman out there Richard, you help me out a lot, Thank You Richard! God Bless You And Your Family Always!
Richard Gene can catch fish out of a rain barrel I’ve been watching him for three years and still learning things from this man thanks and God bless you mr Richard.
Richard here's one more guy that you've taught how to catch crappie (and lots of bass on accident). I just started chasing them in May of this year and have consistently caught 3-4 keepers every outing throughout the summer. My sincerest thanks to you for passing on your wisdom. Let's catch another one!
Thanks for taking us along again. Love your videos and tips. God bless ya brother for talkin about how the Lord has blessed you. No way a person can go out in nature and not believe in God and not be grateful for his love for us. Bless you Richard and can't wait for next trip.
Great tips, it's been tough this year. Getting skunked on more trips in the heat we've had. Awesome video, love watching you catch fish. God bless you and your family.
Another good day of fishin. Them old rainy days when the lightning ain't popping are the best days to be out there. You are correct in the slow presentation Richard. Them fish are hot and sluggish. Got to literally feed it to em. I caint wait til it cools down into the 60s. The water that is. They just taste better . GOD bless you and yours and remember....keep slangin and keep hangin.
Picked up an old Sothbend 440 today that looks like the one I saw Richard using (or similar). Can't wait to load it up with some 4lb test & fill my cooler with them crappie.
Just felt the need to let you all know when we watch we know with out a dought that you all are real and feel more at home than we do when we around our everyday people, lots of love and wish yall the absolute very best
Love the bridge fishing videos, I fish small river bridges in my area and have some good luck at times, grew up doing it so it brings back good memories, keep doing what you do best and God bless you!
RICHARD GENE THE FISHING MACHINE IS THE BEST…..THE HECK WITH THE REST😁😁😁WE LOVE YOU RICHARD 👍🏻👍🏻 AWESOME VIDEO AS ALWAYS!!! GOD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY….🙏🏻🙏🏻
Richard Gene sir l have watched just about all of your fishing adventures I really enjoy it you are a great fishermen your knowledge of the world best and only past time I've struggled with health issues lately and some deaths in my family just wanted to say your videos have helped me because I am unable to go fishing right now but keep up with the catfishing and blue gills crappie just want you to know how much I appreciate you channel thank you and keep them lines TIGHT HAVE FUN AND HANG ON ELMO
I’ve been taking the Richard Gene fishing machine master class lately. Love ur videos, been watching em all. I’ve quadrupled the amount of fish I catch from your tips. Fishing out here in California is not easy, not as many fish here. But I’m slayin em now! Thank you. I find myself repeating your sayings a lot while out on the water. And more frequently “alright let’s let him go.” I said woo. WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
The passion and love you have for fishing really come through especially when you're talking about the setup and I wanted to get all emotional about the age of your rod but then 1:47 and now I can't stop laughing . 🤣😂
Love learning from ya. I use a light blue speckled jig, with black jighead, when the chartreuse, or white isn't working. I like the slow retrieve, and will give it a shot. Thanks. Richard..
Hey Richard! Would you be so kind as to explain line size in your next crappie video? You said in the past crappie aren't line shy but you and many others swear line size makes a difference. Thanks for sharing all you know about fishing, you've helped me tremendously over the last several years! I'm very grateful.
We went out today an had some motor issues and turned around but did catch two sunfish. Gonna use for catfish bait in the morning. Have a good one bud!
Love your videos lol 😂 I wish Cali had it like this but I only got this type of vibe I’m Denver since Cali most likes are man made but I enjoy loving yo see you catch the bite is always so exciting
I just do not believe that a more knowledgeable person about all the species he is versed in exists! I hope I am on your island if we ever get stranded in a body of fresh water. I am talkin' about WOOOOOOOO!
Richard I'm a winter fisherman give me some winter fisherman tips I don't start until October and I don't quit until about April and you're the best I've ever seen so I'll be looking for a comment, your videos are fantastic I can't wait but I don't fish in the summer I got to work too you know even at 71 years old, and where was mama Sue, she keeps us laughing while we're busy learning I panic every time she starts to get on that boat I can feel like I'm reaching out to help her we just love Mama Sue
Love to just watch your fishing show, I would like to tell how I catch loads of bluegills and crappie using A JIG AND PIG. What it is is using a small shinning lure and a piece bacon, cutting up only the fat part of some very cheap sugar smoke bacon, the thin slice type.
I would love to see you come fish the shallow lakes up here in Flatland sometime, Richard. Let’s see, let’s count down. One, two, whoops, on the bottom. Still, those fish are in there, though.
I'd love to use 2lb line where I fish for the sport of it, but that's not ever happening while fishing 12-25' deep in the middle of a flooded forest all the time. Those weedless jigs RG makes are all I use . Thanks RG for the how to video!
I've had them bite so light they just inhaled them and sat there.Had to use a float and the ones I use show every little thing goin on,up,down, sideways, but this time I had to trim the top of it off so it stuck out the water only about 1/8" and when you seen it become level with the water set the hook.Caught 8 dozen that day,but they were all 6-10".
I always mean to go crappie fishing and bring a Coleman lantern because it seems to help bring them in. But by the time I see some action my catfish rods are bending. I always want to catch a crappie but tend to only catch them by accident.
You are my 1st to 2nd favorite channel to watch, and I would love to see you and (River Certified) to get together and do a video, that video would be Absolutely Epic and dang near double your likes and views with the combo of both of you boy's experience to cat fishin!!!!
⭐️ Hey you said that fish was too big to eat in your opinion. What is the best size range for eating when it comes to Crappie in your opinion ? Thanks for all you do Richard. Love the show
I have caught so many slabs this year from your tips I feel like I owe you money, sir.
More of us should do the same for all the success that Richard gives to us. He always thanks us for all that we do for the channel, but we need to thank him for all he does for his fans.

Can’t wait to go fishing again.
Just had rotator cuff surgery.
Gonna be a while before I can “feel the thump” again.
Your an inspiration Gene. Keep it up.
Instantly legendary...Like every RGTFM video! Keep it up
One thing I have noticed is a blue Gill bite is more of a vibration and a crappy is a thump like you said
Gene, you're the best, thanks for your videos I've learned so much.
Love to just watch your fishing show, I would like to tell how I catch loads of bluegills and crappie using A JIG AND PIG. What it is is using a small shinning lure and a piece bacon, cutting up only the fat part of some very cheap sugar smoke bacon, the thin slice type.

I've also found that smaller baits work better not only in summer but post spawn in general.
Nice Richard gene the fishin machine

I always mean to go crappie fishing and bring a Coleman lantern because it seems to help bring them in. But by the time I see some action my catfish rods are bending. I always want to catch a crappie but tend to only catch them by accident.

It would be nice to see how you cook and clean your crappies. Do you just fry them like everyone else or is there a way you liked them cooked?

Do you catch fewer fish with winds from the north and east?
