I love the no shoes, no shits given! If you want to be safe, pay attention. Awesome work as always !
This guy is some kind of a skilled genius that I had no idea even existed.
Most humans were like him until TV was invented.
truly amazes me aswell, thought he was some kind of genius carpenter and the guy is acutally a lawyer from my understanding... dude is a real beast
@Starfire Horizon same as me, albeit a couple of years earlier... i mean i knew there were guys like him just not the DEPTH of the work nor how many DIFFERENT SKILLS he has!!! 🤯
easily the most positive, multi-talented, entertaining dude on the planet
Chainsaw with bare feet is the most Russian thing I’ve ever seen. Epic video and greetings from California ! 🤙🏿
)))) It was a bit silly of me...
@@Advoko Yesss... because younger, less intelligent, and less able individuals may try to follow your example...with disastrous results.
I was coming into the comments to say the exact same thing.
Nothing crude about your creations, perfect craftmanship. Excellent videos.
I, too, am shocked you were able to get the leg out! LOL! You never cease to amaze me. 😲
I think Maxi is a knowledge sponge. Obviously he is proficient in more than one language. His ingenuity is remarkable. I believe he is a lawyer by profession. The guy is just super high functioning.
It's a RUSSIA there are a lot of great and brilliant people out there...see more content
Thought recently occurred to me... . You are amazingly awesome in what you do and teach us... you must be a terrifyingly formidable lawyer - no matter just what branch of law you practice!!! Love your channel! God Bless & Keep up the excellent work!!!!! 😇😇😇
The blacksmith rule of thumb.
I always learn something. Thanks Max.
👍
Bare foot? Yep, this country girl is in love. What a man! Great work, love the cutting board!
)))
Another great video, Max! Here in the US tar was once used with fibers to make rope. Hemp or cotton were used here mostly, but manilla and other stuff was used elsewhere. The whole industry was called "Naval stores". Any pine, but mostly Southern Yellow Pine was the preferred material to distil the tar from. Nowadays, Yellow Pine is used mostly for building lumber, and for pressure treated lumber for outdoor construction like decks and such. In the Navy, we used tar, and oakum on plugs as a patch. If you mix it with some kind of fiber, you could stuff it in cracks in your cabin walls to keep out the wind. You might also use small amounts of it as an accelerant to start fires if your wood is wet. Keep up the videos, they're great!
Nik, thank you for the cool info!
Here is another interesting trivia fact: British Navy used to be the largest tar consumer in the world, I guess till they stopped making wooden boats...)))
This guy is my new hero. It's amazing how God gives some people mush for brains and others such amazing talent. Let's just say I ended up with potatoes. Love watching this guy in the wilderness. Please, more content soon!
"All I need to make is an oven, a bed, a table and chairs". I LOL'd at that line. But I guess those are minor compared to building a cabin or kayak. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for doing some of your videos in English as well as Russian. You are so talented and I love watching you make things. That cabin is magic!
Wow Max
You have incorporated old and New Methods to BuchCraft. I'm in Awe in how you carry your Expertise in all aspects of Bushcraft. It's really something to behold, Nostrovovia, catch a fish for your viewers in California. ☮️
I held my breath during the barefoot/chainsaw part! Keep up the beautiful work!
I’ve see where people make Liquid Smoke using pretty much the same method as your tar. I think the only difference is it comes from the top of your bucket instead of the bottom. Might have to research that a little more. Thanks for the great videos. Keep them coming.
Another awesome video! I can imagine bigfoot reclining on the hill just off in the distance while munching on berries and enjoying the live and amazing show 😎👍
"Archimedes and his invention of the lever" made me laugh - the Egyptians and many other cultures were using levers a long time before those ancient Greeks. The principal just gets his name because he documented it. Really like your videos Maxi - thank you for making them.
Thank you for another video that shows how to build/make/create something and passing on the knowledge/reason why you did something the way you did based on experience. There is always more to your videos than just what you are doing. You add so much more to them by explaining why you do it the way you do.
Shelia, thank you for your kind comment!
While I can't agree on most of your projects being "bushcraft", I can definitely say they are rustic, self made, and very nice. It's all good work. While you post slowly, I still enjoy what you do. Keep it up Max.
You Sir are such a great Teacher I'm so impressed by your mad skills and I and our Earth appreciate the reclamation of trees as well as taking time out to plant more in the forest. You are so innovative mankind as a whole can learn many things from you!
благодарю вас
Nicolas, thank you for your compliments!)))
"Let good people watch good videos" Rule of Thumb!! ^_^ Thank you for the videos.
I like the cutting board. Old motor oil mixed with an equal amount of kerosene is a great protective stain too.
I also use roof tar mixed with kerosine to make a waterproofing mix
In Morocco the tar use to be used as a insect repellent and some still use it to this day. They used to brush it at the doorstep and at the bottom of a carafe or a cup (clay) to keep away insects. Even though it may be toxic, brushing a small quantity on the botom of a cup won’t bring any health risks as they use it for centuries now. It even gives it a distinct taste in combination with pottery. Moroccans say that water from a clay cup with this tar brushed on the bottom makes water taste ‘more delicious’.
I really appreciate what you're doing here. I like the line you use "Let good people watch good videos." It really instills a sense if belonging to the Human effort. Thank you.
You are very welcome!
i regularly do some maintenance/work on my own cabin. watching your crafty videos lately helped me improvise a way to cut a straight line through some rubber material i needed :)
Hi Max, natures provision of your cutting board/ stool legs is perfect. I love your narration style, ingenuity, industriousness and I feel that we will meet, perhaps as early as next year in St Petersburg. All the best to you
These videos have inspired me to start going out into nature more! Thank you very much I’ve never been more happy!
Amazing love the work and thank you for doing videos in English
Some simple modifications to the tar distillery will enable we to extract wood gas from the wpod and roots so around you, you can use wood gas in your generator as a very effective fuel for combustion engines and burner stoves. The tar it self as is can be turned in to soap, also the tar can help with bug bites
I love education videos, especially when they are using wood,, I'm a tree surgeon for a big company in London, and I love working with wood, I have made bowls and spoons with wood before,, and I want to make a cabin to live in ,, in the woods of Scotland,, but first I must purchase some land,, it was nice watching you cooking meat in your cabin, you are good at what you do. Maxi goring
awesome man.. love your work... i like your comment about your cutting board "massive and crude" that is great.. and slicing sausage with your axe is fitting well done.. J
Ok Max so beautiful your projects and practical you are. Now I'm surprised no one has mentioned this; another thing you can do with the pine tar is you put it on the bottoms of wooden skis and toboggans as a preservative, and something that wax will adhere to. There is a lost art of pine taring and waxing wooden skis; we always had a bit of pine tar on our wool knickers. Pine tar smells so good, I can't believe our world went plastic; think about it. A potential project for you might be building some skis and a sled. Off you go, and leave no trace.
Thanks for the idea!
dear max!
you asked about an idea about using resin and tar. maybe you try to apply it hot and liquid to very thin sheets of splitted pinewood, you will see, the material becomes very translucend, maybe for windows or elictric lights. the smell is sensational, you will agree. it also makes the wood bendable, for this you have to heat it to min. 190 degrees celsius for 10 minutes to bend it even without steam or water.
respect for your fine work, armin, architect from austria.
My new favorite channel.
I Really liked the way you made that cutting board/working table Max, it will really serve its purpose using inside or outside of the house/cabin. Excellent job. Thank you, Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻✋🏻✋🏻
Fred, thank you for all your kind words!
I've watched just about all of your videos in one day, then subscribed. This is the type of content that I love to see on youtube!

You just need Oven, Bed, Kitchen table and Chairs. Oh I can't wait :D
Dude honestly I think you might just be the coolest person I have ever seen!!! Very inspiring watching your videos!
If l like this video? Are you kidding me? I absolutely love each and every one of your videos man. Keep em coming please. Thanks.
Nice video... I would like to see more of the inside of your cabin.
Be safe
Rod, I videoed the inside of my log cabin this month. Coming soon..))
Pine tar and water solution = insect repellent. Like your vids, hope you keep publishing many!
The Indians here in Florida would mix wood ash with the pine tar and it would dry (took 2-3 days) as hard as a rock and was almost unbreakable. I don't have the health any more, but if I did I would be out there doing the same thing. Enjoy your life there.
I really like the cutting board. Very creative. A work of art. Please do not hurt yourself. Hopefully you are not too far from civilization. I live in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia!...

Another great video, Max! I absolutely love what you do .. you are such a skilful outdoorsman. The tar is such a useful substance, both as an adhesive and a waterproofing agent. I can’t wait for your next video my friend!
The far and resin can also work if you are putting in fence posts to protect in the ground. You are a remarkable man. I enjoy watching your videos
Thank you, Bruce!

Enjoy your videos a lot thanks for sharing the wisdom
я сам из Карелии-Костомукша,у нас такие леса даже в городах)приезжайте туристы)
I really love your videos. Maybe the lottery will be mine and will visit you and your homemade cabin. Keep up the great work too.
You could use the tar on the bottom of chair legs to protect them from moisture and cracking over time. We use tape to make a dam to pour epoxy onto the bottom feet for protection.
Andrew here from the United States, North Carolina. My grandfather who is part native stated that his grandmother used to use Pine Resin as a wound applicator when mixed with honey. If you dont have honey, I'm sorry i suggested but it is a natural antiseptic and the resin helped keep anything out of your wound and would peel away. They would use for smaller wounds and such, and he said it was great for removing, thorns or hornet stingers, if you were pricked.
You can also may pitchwood torches around the camps, if you mix the resin with any oil of a plant that insects dont like, they can work as propellents and give you light when a roaring fire isnt needed or make small candles if need be for any survival moments if you went off and needed a flame dearly but may become injured. I'm sure you knew this already but thought I would share. Keep up the vids, I just found you today and have already spent a lot of my morning watching and liking vids. Subbed.
Andrew, thank you for the info!
I can barely make a cup of tea. you are amazing.
Keep enjoying your life, it's just a flash!💥👍
Dude your a wicked smart guy the cabin is great looking keep up the good work and stay safe !! hi from the USA
What a great UA-camr you are Max. I'd like to see your youtube version of bushcraft making of tar/resin and other uses for it. Thanks again for posting great videos.
Your videos take me back. Hiking for a week in the Rockies with my dad, eating what we caught.
Now I know were so many other channels get their ideas from....What a great channel.
Another epic video as always! I love watching the things you come up with to add to your cabin!
Tar makes good fire touchs. Please make more videos about the cabin
Thank you for your input!
Use the resin for torches. You might want to have a small area outdoors to keep them in. So when you make your root celer you might want to make a storage area for tools and torches.
Karen, thank you for the idea!
looking forward to seeing what you do for a oven.
Looks great, and those bowed legs give you a wider base so it won't tip over as easy. Very nice!
Great video Max....I loved the point about "the Blacksmith's Measure".........you know....the Thumb thing..........ergonomics based on practicality.........I wish I could speak Russian as well as you speak English........beautiful Design.....beautiful cabin and forest setting........Respect for you from Australia.......Bushcraft is important......Thanks for sharing Mate
Max, thank you for your kind words. I think I mentioned it here because the next video will be about my axe making from scratch...)))

Looks like you are having a great summer .....
Great video. Back to basics. You are a true woodsman, artisan craftsman.
Sir you are the whole package. Love you accent and creativity!!! Thanks for being so genuinely amazing!!!! ❤️ from Texas 😊
Texas!...
Awesome work Max, beautiful piece of forest furniture. Btw, your cabin & it's location looks a little like paradise in my humble opinion.
Your knowledge of the english language is impressive to say the least. #bravo
Thank you!
Maxi ,sir .
I ALWAYS am thrilled to see your video's come up ! ! In Russian or English language, doesn't matter as walk through, hands on ( foot also ) is international language.
Prefer not to say this, but I think the feet on the table should aim out for stability control, it would hurt like hell on foot if fallen over.
Oh you are very funny..winter,
But you do what you say ...bring plenty of fuel for snow mobile.
Namaste maxi ..peace
William, thank you for your kind words!
Great job on the cutting table
Thanks Archimede and his principle lever 😁
