Thanks so much for sharing this video. As I am having contractions, I'm getting really strong and knowing exactly what to do and look for helps so much. I know I got this positive affirmations only. 🙏🏽

38 weeks. Braxton hick for weeks but these really long and strong contractions I have had only for like a week with a day here and there of a random breaks. So hopefully it means labour is approaching. Then I called hospital they told me to wait at home until my waters break or I can't handle the pain anymore. I am seeing my midwife in two days so she'll check me over to see if there are any changes to cervix and all. Thank you for your reply. It's nice to hear other people experience that. I try to meditate, use yoga ball and take warm baths to stay as relaxed as possible while I have them.
Hello Anja, again .. Hehe.. Just a quick question, I'm going in for stretch and sweep on the same day as I'm having my waters broken, which my consultant is doing. However how can I make my labour come on after my waters are broken? As I have 4 hours to progress in labour before they put me on a drip as another induction and I really do not want to go on the drip. Kind regards chelsea
How to deal with prodromal labour? Some days I have strong and painful contractions lasting over a minute and repeating every 6-9 minutes for 9-12 hours a day and they go away during the night then they pick up again just before I wake up. It can be so exhausting and confusing as I don't want to call the hospital to be told "it's a false alarm" but at the same time how will I know when the real labour starts.
Hi Julia, sorry to hear that you are going through this as it sounds really annoying! I had prodromal labour but only from 9pm-12am every night for a few weeks. Always the same time and contractions always 8 minutes apart. How many weeks pregnant are you and how long has this been going on for? From my experience, you would know that labour had definitely started when your contractions don't stop over night and they get closer together than 6 minutes apart. If you are a first time mum, generally it's recommended to travel to your chosen birth setting when you're experiencing 18 contractions in an hour and each one is lasting about a minute. X
What would your advice be for a woman attempting a vbac about going to the hospital soon. My doc said I need to be monitored therefore immediately contractions begin I should go and not labor at home, but so far everything is fine with both baby and me. And after watching this video everything you said one shouldn’t do during labor was everything we did with the first child and my labor stalled. Anyway thank you for all the content you put up I’ve been binge watching your videos since second trimester and now I’m 33 + weeks
Hi, thanks for your question. I wouldn't want you to go against your doctor's advice but I would ask him/her why they think you need to go to hospital as soon as your labour starts. The most important thing is creating a calm setting in your birth room. If you can do that/or your partner can, your labour won't stall and I'm sure you can have a really great VBAC that is smooth and comfortable. Please ask your doctor WHY they want you to go in straight away. I would like to know what they have said to you. 💕
It's quite normal for your cervix to still be closed at 38 weeks. Don't worry! 💓 Also, your due date is not set in stone. It's an estimate. Only 4% of babies arrive on their due date and that is just coincidence. I would check out my induce labour naturally videos for simple ways to help your cervix to soften and start opening ready for labour to start if you feel like you want to do something about it: ua-cam.com/video/lSxBEqNdJuA/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/lTEgPZPDTHA/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/vCJb7pHL-Jw/v-deo.html Please don't get stressed about it as stress tells your body that you don't feel ready for your baby to come and your cervix can stay closed. You need to be staying active and feeling calm to get oxytocin released into your body. This hormone helps get your body ready for labour. 💖
Does the “turn down the lights” thing work when I actually feel more comfortable and happy when it’s light and I get annoyed when the kids turn lights off to watch a film because it hurts my eyes and doesn’t make me feel relaxed at all 🙈 I know I’m weird 😂.
What about dates, they have lots of sugar but I have seen they are recommended. Im 39 weeks and 6 days but baby doesn't want to come out in the cold of February 😅
Are you in labour? If you have the energy I would go for a walk. It will put pressure on your cervix to help it dilate. And don't stress. Stress stops labour. You need to be relaxed ❤️
☕ Would you like to thank Anja for her videos? A good coffee is the way to her heart 😂. You can buy her one here:

@@SasayGaleng when did you end up giving birth? I'm in the same boat as you currently!

If you think darkness is going to irritate you that's ok 😃 but see how you feel during labour 🤪
Not like you can really talk much during stronger contractions anyways haha! Great video 💕
You're right! 😜 I wasn't talking much either. Good to hear that you think the video is great. That's so kind of you to say. Thank you 😘

Dates contain natural sugars so they are ok I think 💝
@@HypnobirthingWithAnja Thank you for your Reply Anja 🥰 Have a good weekend 😊😊
@@AdisaKola you're welcome! Hope you have a good weekend too ❤️
I think dates are good to eat in moderation you only need about 3-5 dates per day to help with your cervix that's what was recommended to me anyways 💗
