Hi Bridget! Back in 2020 I watched your video after 3 weeks of false labor and after doing “the hole” position, I started contracting and had baby 3 hours later at home! I am happy I found your video again! I’m due in just a few weeks with baby #5!
We are Muslims as u know we pray 5 times daily and we selcude a lot and doctors said that's a way to have well positioned baby and good brain function too Thank you for your beautiful videos 😘
In summary: 1) sit straight so baby's spine curves against belly and not your spine. Don't cross your legs. 2) lean forward on a yoga ball on your hands and knees. 3) forward lean inversion off the couch. A sort of downward dog using the couch. 4) Through the hole stretch 5) pelvic tilt or cow position ( don't dip your spine down)
I'm so glad I came across your channel...I'm 29 weeks pregnant and most recently I've been having pain on my left side from where the baby is laying and I did the forward leaning aversion and now the pain has went away! such a huge relief 👍🏼
I've been naturally doing these moves during both of my pregnancies, because it just felt right. Doctor's always seem impressed by my kiddos positioning.
I followed all your advice during my first bitrth experience. It was lovely. Now pregnant with my second and I am back again for this Golden advance. ❤
Thanks Bridget! I’m 39+5, currently 4cm dilated, 90% effaced and baby is at station -1. Doing these exercises to further engage baby’s head & hoping to meet him very soon!
I'm 27 weeks pregnant, with my 5th child, and I've been having horrible hip pain! Sciatic nerve I believe. But these have helped just by the first day!! I'll keep doing them every day until labor! Hoping they will also help with the back labor I get. Thank you!!!
Currently 32 weeks and I've just naturally been doing these positions for weeks now (except 3&4). Thanks to them, baby has flipped from right side to left. He's been head down for months and hasn't shifted yet. Plus I feel him dropping lower into the pelvis!

Nothing prepares you for labour. Its raw and animalistic. You just go through it and come out on the other side with your bundle of joy. Trust me i watched all this videos did breath work but something takes over during labor and birth. You'll see for yourself. Wishing you a safe birth❤
I'm an old woman now with a daughter in law who's about to give me my first grandbaby. I am so excited!!! I loved EVERYTHING about pregnancy. I was so excited I didn't even mind the vomiting. I was an RN and I didn't like work. I loved nursing but the smells you deal with as a nurse, argh, it was hard to feel like your're going to puke all day at work and I just could not do some jobs!! My favorite thing was always feeling my baby move inside me and i loved knowing I was growing a baby inside my belly!!!!
Thank you so much for the tips! I was getting ready for birth and without this video I could not have delivered my baby daughter… I had to do it all without epidural (there was no time as the whole process was just so much quicker than I could have imagined! Gravity is everything, trust your body completely and focus on the breathing: that was my strategy. I am not saying it was not unbelievably painful, because it was, but without the preparation process I would have completely panicked in the moment and not be present.
I wish I had seen this before!! I gave birth for the first time two months ago, in a few hours of labor I was fully dilated but I had to wait a very long time for my baby boy's head to reach the right position... I was severely in pain, (they gave me oxytocin to empower my contractions) and been told I had to wait and there was nothing I could do to help the process, so I was loosing strength and confidence, thought I was lost! 😢 At 7 am my gynecologist said I had three hours to avoid the c section but after a while suddenly everything changed, I was told the head finally went down and luckily at 9.43 my boy Bruno was born ❤️
@@teejay5432 they didn't explain that to me, I guess it was because I had been almost 12 hours laboring and my baby could be suffering, or maybe they just needed the operating room for somebody else at a certain point ;) Anyway the pressure worked but I couldn't help tearing very badly and episiotomy too, two years and half later, I'm still uncomfortable with that, it heavily affected my sexual life and my confidence in my body. So I really wish I knew these techniques, even if every birth is different

I’m 30 weeks and found this such a simple & brilliant video to help hopefully position baby well and I felt amazing after doing the exercises will be keeping it up for sure!
These are all awesome. I'm 33 weeks and dealing with a babe who likes doing somersaults... Every time I try to find baby's head it's in a different spot. LOL I turned my last one while in labor using the pelvic tilt.. Spinning babies is such a huge help. The 'through the hole' position has been helping my hip pain-I'm too short to sit in any of our chairs with my feet flat on the floor so I sit for awhile, use the birth ball as a chair for awhile... Probably every hour or so I'm changing positions because I'm hurting... Unless my 2 year old needs cuddled. Pro tip, don't do forward leaning aversion with a toddler awake lol. Thanks for the video, somebody else explaining how to do some of these positions is always helpful.
I love forward leaning! On my bed or my birth ball it really helps relieve pressure from my back and hips and I’ve been trying to practice these stretches and moves throughout my pregnancy. Thank you so much for the in depth explanation of how and why these help!
This might be a silly question but if baby is already head down should I still do the forward leaning inversion? I would hate for him to flip to head up.
I am not sure, but I believe on the spinning babies website they say NOT to do it if your baby is already head down. Check out that website for more clear information than I can give.
Unbelievable how the nature set up. Recently as am getting closer to due date. I started to stay away from couch, only wanna sit on a stool with back straight up. Thank for the info, its really helpful!
My youngest was sunnyside up with a nuchal cord. I am really working to get this baby in position! This is my 5th baby, and I'm really hopeful for an "easy" healing birth.
Hi Dulasene, I'm Anja and I thought I would answer your question. I recommend that these exercises be started towards the end of the third trimester so around the 33/34 week mark. This is especially useful if you are trying to encourage your baby to get head down ready for birth. xxxxx
Forward-leaning insights very helpful! Question on one of the exercises though -- how does the lying on back position work - the one where you do a figure 4? I thought we weren't supposed to lie on our backs at all?
I watched your videos in my last month of pregnancy and wow! I had an amazing birth and all natural. It would've been a positive birth story to tell if i wouldn't have lost my daughter to sudden death 😔. I think i will Inshallah come back here for my next pregnancies. Hoping for the best🤞. Best of luck mamas, watch all her videos and make your experience better.
im so grateful i found your page!! i live north bay :) and i am a first time mommy at nearly 29 (bday is may 7th)... i am definitely planning an unmedicated birth and preparing my body now at nearly 20 weeks! i wanted to do the birth center badly, but once my doctor laid out all the necessary factors, i became intimidated and chose the "safer" route. Hearing you talk makes me want to reconsider haha!
Omg my first baby came out sunny side up and I had a horrible labor, ended up with the epidural I have been searching for why it was so difficult but it makes so much sense. I don't have the best posture so I will definitely be working on that this time around!!
Forward leaning inversion -Spinning babies also say to tuck you chin in to chest and tuck your tailbone in as well.. Love your videos Bridget Your my fav Doula❤ Fm one doula to another 🥰
I definitely cannot lie down flat on my back for Through the hole, without terrible pain in my low back and lower. Darn it. I could hardly put one leg over the other. 32 wks here.
I love it when my baby kicks! I'm 8 days away from my due date and your videos are super helpful for me as a first time mama! Listened to your advice and am sitting on a birth ball while watching your videos!
I'm 31 weeks in a couple days and have been torn my baby boy is transverse lieing (laying across my body) and have been told to look into exercises to help bring his head down. Hoping your video will help as I am only having this baby and really want to experience natural labour 😀
@EAVIA Hi! Unfortunately my baby boy was very big on the scan so I had to have a c section so I can't say it worked as I was first admitted because he was laying wrong.. best of luck to you though!
Hi honey, I think the purpose of her course is so it is all in one place and arranged in a certain order so you can work through things more methodically. Many UA-cam channels with lots of videos will be giving away their course content for free but over a long period of time. If you have the course you would have all the info straight away rather than potentially miss out on any information. For example, on my pregnancy and birth UA-cam channel, mine is pretty new, I also do videos about how to prepare for labour and birth, pain relief, breathing techniques etc. Over time, I guess I will give all my content away for free on UA-cam but if someone wanted to access my online course before I have created all the videos, they could learn everything straight away. xxxxx
Thanks for the video. I am cautious doing the forward leaning inversion im 38 weeks and baby has been LOA/ROA for a while but Not engaged yet. I feel the inversion will potentially turn baby the other way surely?xx
Wow the forward inversion really just helped relieve pain I was feeling on one side of my pelvis. Quick question, how long should you stay in the pelvic tilt position? Should you take a few breaths holding it, or inhale into it and exhale out like how you would doing cat-cow?
Thanks for these great videos. I'm from India where C-section rates are pretty high and find these simple, online resources incredibly enlightening. I'm due next week - hoping for a VBAC. Please wish me luck.
With the forward leaning inversion, if your baby is already head down but not yet engaged, will this cause them to flip into a breech position? I’m only asking because my baby was breech(head up) a few weeks ago and it was recommended I do the inversion to get him to be head down. I just want to make sure I’m not undoing anything, if that’s makes sense. I know that probably sounds crazy. Haha
Your videos are so helpful! I’ve been watching a lot of them as i get closer to birth. The one piece of feedback I would say is that your introductions are a bit long and repetitive. Thank you so much for your videos!
I did the forward leaning inversion last night at 36 weeks and my baby decided to flail around all night. He was the most active we have ever seen him, it was nearly worrisome!
Lol my little guy is moving so much it almost feels violent but doctors r constantly reassuring me he's healthy. He moves at least 16 to 20 hours of the day. I can't believe he doesn't need rest.
Thank you! I’m 33.5 with my third baby and having a lot of lower back pain and discomfort in my abdomen, especially when he kicks and punches. Turns out he is OP. I needed tips to work on turning him OA!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make these beautiful videos I am so grateful for you! Your videos are so calming and reassuring in a world full of anxiety and pressure. Without your videos I wouldn’t have been able to get my baby’s bum out of my pelvis. I am on the journey to have an optimal positioning for vaginal birth. Wish me luck!
Is through the hole safe if youre really near your EDD? We've been told time and again how we should avoid lying on our backs during pregnancy, so wondering if its safe!
@bridget Are these to be tried only near the delivery time? Or we can do it earlier. My concern is with comment of "baby being engaged" which shows that we should not do it too early
Well I never felt it, my doctor just told me after my last check up that the baby has turned. Others feel it, and say you feel some crimping and backpain that could feel like labour. The shape of my tummy changed, and could feel kicks on the upper part which I could feel where the feet.
My youngest did a somersault and sent me into labor at 33 weeks. I work up out of a dead sleep. I know he flipped because I’d had an ultrasound the day before and he was head up. Ultrasound at the hospital to check for issues showed he was head down.
No one brings up the fact that head down isn't the only position that matters! My son has been pushing his spine against mine and it is so painful at times... this has been immensely helpful in helping cope and hopefully if I keep them up he will spin backnaround for birth 🙏
That was the point of this video, leaning FORWARD causes baby to turn with gravity bringing baby's back FORWARD and perfect for burthing easily through the pelvis
@Bridget Teyler, Do I practice the leaning inversion moves even if doc says baby is already in head down position every week since 32 weeks and im 35 weeks? If I practice this will I accidentally flip baby breach? Or should I still be doing this inversion move often until birth or?
Since I don’t see anyone replying to you I can give you my opinion for what it’s worth hopefully she doesn’t mind, I am not saying this medically or professionally just as mom of 4 one due anyday. The baby moves around and odds are they will change positions up until birth if you’ve already had a baby but if you haven’t usually around 34 to 36 weeks the baby will engage basically they will stay put usually for the first baby around 34-36 weeks, so starting certain things earlier won’t be of any help really but I can’t see anything that would be dangerous or risky to doing so earlier.
In the pelvic tilt am I supposed to feel pressure in my pelvic area after a few tilts? I’m 38 w already and I tried the pelvic tilt and about 5 to 10 minutes after doing a few I felt pressure already is that bad or good?
38weeks and 6days here, was doing the forward leaning exercise to flip my sunny side up baby and I felt this gush of water coming out of me, I don’t know if it’s my water that broke or I peed on myself, will see if I go into labour, fingers crossed!!
Mel G I went to the hospital the next day and I was given this Amniotic fluid panty liner to wear to see if I was leaking amniotic fluid, turned out I wasn’t, still pregnant and waiting for my baby to come out, tired already
Ifeoluwa Akinwande I’m assuming baby got stressed? I had a c section with my last baby and they did not mention to wear compression socks, as I’ve been reading on different births wear compression socks. It will help with the water retention and to avoid blood clots, my legs were so full of fluid a couple of days after I got discharged.

Yeah NO drugs is always a "safer" route!
Love your videos Bridget Your my fav Doula❤
Fm one doula to another 🥰
I definitely cannot lie down flat on my back for Through the hole, without terrible pain in my low back and lower.
Hope I get a response to this but my baby is sorta the same way! I’m 31 weeks and want to know if this worked for you!
@EAVIA Hi! Unfortunately my baby boy was very big on the scan so I had to have a c section so I can't say it worked as I was first admitted because he was laying wrong.. best of luck to you though!
What’s the difference between the content you put on UA-cam and the services your program offers?
Hi honey, I think the purpose of her course is so it is all in one place and arranged in a certain order so you can work through things more methodically. Many UA-cam channels with lots of videos will be giving away their course content for free but over a long period of time. If you have the course you would have all the info straight away rather than potentially miss out on any information. For example, on my pregnancy and birth UA-cam channel, mine is pretty new, I also do videos about how to prepare for labour and birth, pain relief, breathing techniques etc. Over time, I guess I will give all my content away for free on UA-cam but if someone wanted to access my online course before I have created all the videos, they could learn everything straight away. xxxxx
Hi Bridget. If my baby is cephalic, is there still a need for or are there any benefits to doing forward leaning inversions?
Thanks for the video. I am cautious doing the forward leaning inversion im 38 weeks and baby has been LOA/ROA for a while but Not engaged yet. I feel the inversion will potentially turn baby the other way surely?xx
Wow the forward inversion really just helped relieve pain I was feeling on one side of my pelvis. Quick question, how long should you stay in the pelvic tilt position? Should you take a few breaths holding it, or inhale into it and exhale out like how you would doing cat-cow?
Thanks for this video! I’m 36 weeks pregnant. I will start doing these every day for my baby to get in the right position.
When should we start doing these?
I’m 30 weeks preggy and I’m so excited to meet my baby girl.
@sugar addict thats my birthday, so its an excellent date 😁 good luck!
I’m at 27 weeks! So excited. 🥰🥰
sugar addict 3/21 also is my due date ❤️
I am 36 weeks , so excited to meet my girl
I love this thank you so much!!! Also a video about the best positions to deliver a baby in would be great!!!
Cool, I intuitively was already doing the forward leaning 😊
And the pelvic tilts!
40 weeks and 1 days. 😫 I AM STRESSED AND TIRED. Baby girl doesn’t want to come out because she knows covid-19 out here. 😒😒
Same! 40+1 weeks, and the baby hasn't even dropped yet ☹
Same here. I am 37 weeks and freaked out about the virus. I have been staying home self isolating myself from the public.
Sumbla Salman hang in there girl. ❤️ just gotta trust that our bodies know when it’s time. 😕
Noemi Garza yes girl. Keep you and your baby safe. Definitely keep self isolating.
L. Jay haha 😂 can so relate
Thanks for these great videos. I'm from India where C-section rates are pretty high and find these simple, online resources incredibly enlightening. I'm due next week - hoping for a VBAC. Please wish me luck.
Akila Surendran like in Indonesia, birth is business.
Akila surendran how are you now
How is your delivery ended up, vbac??
Was your vbac successful?
Curious if doing downward dog would give the same benfits as forward leaning inversion?
Nice video. I would have liked to see you demonstrate the positions in your third trimester though, just to see how you maneuver with this belly.
Haha
I wish I was back home so I could hire you 😭 I’m from Bay Area and really wish I had an amazing doula like you
What size of the birth ball do you recommend getting?
As always, loving the information.
Buttttt I gotta know where you got this sweater! It’s adorable, do you have a link to where you bought it 😍 ?
Thank you so much for taking the time to make these beautiful videos I am so grateful for you! Your videos are so calming and reassuring in a world full of anxiety and pressure.
Without your videos I wouldn’t have been able to get my baby’s bum out of my pelvis. I am on the journey to have an optimal positioning for vaginal birth. Wish me luck!
Forward leaning inversion similar to downward dog eh? Similar benefits from downdog with a kneeling position after?
Crossing my legs is not a problem because I'm unable to do that - the belly is in the way! 😂
Mary H same 😂
I tend to cross my ankles during pregnancy cause who crosses their legs during pregnancy? 😅
Mary Barlow I cant even cross my ankles lol
Is through the hole safe if youre really near your EDD? We've been told time and again how we should avoid lying on our backs during pregnancy, so wondering if its safe!
I was told that baby is engaged! Yay!! Do I keep doing these or will baby become disengaged?
@bridget Are these to be tried only near the delivery time? Or we can do it earlier. My concern is with comment of "baby being engaged" which shows that we should not do it too early
Thanks for the tips! What size is best for the birthing ball? I’m unsure if it would be too small or too big 😢
My doctor just recommended doing baby spinning because my baby have his spine in mines. So I will try this today and I will let you know how it went.
Hi Bridget Teyler, Is general anesthesia safe for a C- section? I would choose that instead of an epidural.
We've got all these covered in preggo yoga classes - good to know these exercises are the most helpful 👌
Update: these are so helpful and they work! Went into labor exactly at 39+1 weeks!
Hello Bridget... Do you give any online certificate program ?
the birth ball link is broken, can you please share another link or the brand? thanks
Can you do down dog instead of the forward leaning inversion?
thank you! can’t wait to give these a try as my baby is currently head up🥴. how do you know once they’ve flipped? can you feel it??
Well I never felt it, my doctor just told me after my last check up that the baby has turned.
Others feel it, and say you feel some crimping and backpain that could feel like labour.
The shape of my tummy changed, and could feel kicks on the upper part which I could feel where the feet.
My youngest did a somersault and sent me into labor at 33 weeks. I work up out of a dead sleep. I know he flipped because I’d had an ultrasound the day before and he was head up. Ultrasound at the hospital to check for issues showed he was head down.
What size birthing ball do you have?
Can you do the forward leaning inversion before 30 weeks? If not can you please explain why. Thank you!
@@CCAnne Thank you! I appreciate your response.
Hi Bridget, quick ? What size did you get for the birthing ball? I'm 5'1 and was wondering since I have many sizes to choose from.
In the pelvic tilt am I supposed to feel pressure in my pelvic area after a few tilts? I’m 38 w already and I tried the pelvic tilt and about 5 to 10 minutes after doing a few I felt pressure already is that bad or good?
Perfect timing to find this video! I’ll be starting this tomorrow! 🥰 I’m 30 almost 31 weeks pregnant 💙
Congrats! I'm 32 weeks today with #5! I'm so over it!!!
Thank you for the video will be trying these apart from 3 I won’t get back up again.
38weeks and 6days here, was doing the forward leaning exercise to flip my sunny side up baby and I felt this gush of water coming out of me, I don’t know if it’s my water that broke or I peed on myself, will see if I go into labour, fingers crossed!!
How did everything go?
Mel G I went to the hospital the next day and I was given this Amniotic fluid panty liner to wear to see if I was leaking amniotic fluid, turned out I wasn’t, still pregnant and waiting for my baby to come out, tired already
Let us know how it went and if baby stayed sunny side up.
carolina G he changed position but I ended up being induced which led to an emergency C-section, I gave birth 5days ago
Does downward facing dog count as forward leaning position?
