He has 100% been singing through a processor since at least the first Hardwired outdoor run. It's fine. We'd rather hear him sing with a steady tone and always on key anyway. Same thing with Lars playing to a click track since that time as well. The band always staying on tempo, and James singing always on key have made their performances better. Who's cares if they're getting a little help? It's still live, which is more than 95% of bands out there today, can say.
Oh crap I didn't even realize they never played that song! That song will always be one of my favs from Load because 1. It just slaps so hard and 2. It was the first song that made me listen to other songs by Metallica besides Enter Sandman and Ain't My Bitch.

@JesonWu-z9d I actually thought his voice was at its worst live during the load and reload Era. The cunning stunts version of until it sleeps is horrible.
@@shugghead8538 Well, 1997's not so good, but 1996 was still great for most of the time, check out San Fransisco, Irvine, and MTV's MotherLOAD Contest Winner Live Gig on the same year

This is one of my favourite tracks from that era, and I’ve never heard it sound better live. Rob killed it and James vocals were so powerful thanks for posting this
Last week I learned that I have a chronic disease that has no cure. I've been listening to this song all week, referring to it. And now I got a new video notification from my favorite band, Until It Sleeps live. Metallica saved my life. (I know James has previously said that until it sleeps is not related to illness or cancer)

Now, I find it curious to see how those metalheads who insulted and criticized me for defending the Load album,Now they go crazy singing it at concerts. Curious, very very curious.
Never clicked so fast on a Metallica video before as this is one of my favourites after king nothing, enter sandman and nothing else matters and some others
Lars’s yellow drums look incredible! The metallic orange St. Anger era and the yellow have been some of my favorites. That yellow with the black is sick!
I was there and I love every album up to and including Death Magnetic.......this was such a surprise and treat. James has some serious range, his voice was a gift from god.
So cool that they're playing this song again, we all love it. Great performance, I just wish Lars hit the snare in 3:41 like the record, after the "... so wash me 'till clean" part, it adds so much power.
So the crowd was mostly chill for this one 😂. I love it, the first single off Load, I remember when it came out and was heavily played on the radio in ‘96. 🌲🌕🍺
Sooo glad they’re playing this again! Sucks I didn’t get to hear it live on the last few tours, but at least we have this awesome pro shot video to enjoy.
