I honestly don't think that Anzu Mazaki was a bad character. Also, the series makes it clear that Anzu didn't know who she liked between Yugi and Atem. Before Yugi's first encounter with Marik, Anzu used to think that Atem was a split personality of Yugi, but when she learned that Atem was a different person altogether, she became even more confused about her feelings. She was still a good friend to Yugi and even showed signs of having feelings for Yugi, not just Atem. I feel like there's just misconceptions when it comes to Anzu in this video. Shizuka wasn't even the worst character.
It still seems weird that she thought about choosing between her live childhood friend and his very dead Egyptian ancestor. I read somewhere that she chose Yugi in the end, but still having feelings for Atem. That still brings up questions if that's all true.
Stuff like this is why I prefer the manga. -Honda is a real MVP there during the early arcs and while his contributions diminish over time he isn't annoying and he has some actual good quips with Jonouchi. -Anzu is also a lot better written in the manga, the anime flanderized her a lot. -Big Five are really minor villains during Duelist Kingdom that don't do much aside from sitting in a dark room. -Bobasa isn't annoying in the manga and he is just there to be a guide. (Also the memory arc is so much better too.) -Shizuka is also far less annoying and barely appears or speaks anyways, she does her role as Jonouchi's character development and that's it.
THANK YOU. DM is literally better in manga because Kazuki Takahashi is the GOAT (and also he's a better writer than the anime directors. Especially Arc V writer. God, I hate Arc V).
Anzu & Honda development all went to season 0 after that they kinda turned into the human Z-fighters from Dragon Ball Z its like they peaked from being relevant then just became Cheerleaders afterwards
one of the first question you ask is "what did Honda do that was useful" and I didn't even go to that cybernoah arc... I went to Season 1 when he had that moment with Joey/jonushi and the troll monster cards that showed Joey that his friends had his back or some stuff like that... Outside of that, I was drawing a complete blank. Tristan was more entertaining in the abridged version where his voice gave him super strength.
@@BlackangelKatakuriShe had 3 on screen duels. The first was with Joey right at the start of the show which she won because Joey didn’t understand spell and trap cards yet. The second duel was with Mai which she won because Mai surrendered even though she was secretly in a winning position, because Mai was making a point to Yugi. Her final on screen duel was with Crump which she won because Crump did a few misplays. However before the duel Crump says that Tea had dueled 5 times in her life which means that there are still 3 more mystery duels that are unaccounted for in the show. Most likely against Yugi before the show started which she probably lost.
My Yugitoad can't be this heated. Please seek monster reborn and play feather duster to clean these atrocities up. We can get out of the wetlands together and become Toadally awesome

The worst Yu-Gi-Oh DM character is Yami Marik. Battle City was already an overly bloated mess with some good moments sprinkled in, so let's remove the villain with an actual backstory who was already a step down from Pegasus, and replace him with a two dimensional pure evil stereotype with not even an endgame plan for what he'll do if he wins. My favourite DM original anime character is Noah, and manga original is Rishid. Serenity is cute and inoffensive.
I disliked Honda/Tristan as a kid, growing up made me hate him. He was just...there and so irrelevant, other characters KNEW it. Kaiba NEVER interacted with him, Yugi only mentioned him in times of distress. Key signs he was irrelevant when the main protag and rival doesn't care. He became worse when Shizuka/Serenity came into the picture, now his character becomes, "I want to bang my best friend's little sister" and that's ALL HE BECOMES. He sacrifices himself in a duel he was going to lose anyway just so he could look cool and we know it, that's why he got put inside the robot monkey, they needed to make us laugh...but failed (especially with one scene where he essentially motorboated Shizuka and I had to skip forward to rid myself of the cringe). He and Duke had this triangle with Shizuka that was annoying at best, predatory at most. It annoyed me whenever i saw any of the three of them on screen. Female characters in anime/manga are written poorly by default so we know Shizuka and Anzu would be nothing but garbage. Then there's thise girls...but I'd be here for days if I spoke about them.
@@friggen_roylty4368bro my goat Tristen never fails. Bro doesn’t duel, he’s the hands of the group, Tristen is somehow capable of taking down trained Egyptian warriors who are using swords. Tristen literally managed to run up and slug Bakura, right in his face. Bro fr, if Tristen just straight up fist fought the villains in YUGIOH, he would have won.
I personally don’t like Anzu. She’s more self-centered compared to Shizuka. You have to take account that she’s younger than her brother and his friends, so everything that she got involved with must have frightened her a lot. I think that Anzu was meant to be Yugi’s love interest, so it really annoyed me how they made her become interested in Atem instead and only focused on him instead of her childhood friend aka Yugi. At this point, if we ever get a season with the DM group but as adults, I don’t want to see Yugi and Anzu together as a couple.
Yugi and Anzu's relationship is better in manga, not great but better. She originally believes Yugi just has a personality disorder and likes both aspects. When she finds Yami is a different person altogether she gets upset.
Yugitoad, you know how made a video where you watched the ENTIRE DM series, are you going to make a video where you watch the rest of the yugioh series?

In duelist kingdom he got mokubas body away from Pegasus and knocked out Yami Bakura and threw his ring away. Granted Bakura got the ring back. I think you’re a bit hard on Anzu, she’s a teen and in love. Rationality goes out the door.
I disagree with everything you said i think the opposite and i am right
I ❤ them all

Maybe the Manga should've been animated and the yugioh anime we know shouldn't have happened, as sad as that would be.

1:04 he knocked out bakura and throw the millennium ring before he took mokuba soul remember? Honda was the muscle he handled afew situations
I'd say all members of the BIG 5 were all my Worst characters of Yuugiou (Yu-Gi-Oh!) Duel Monsters!

Bruh, Tea (Anzu) has a 100% win streak. Don’t diss the queen of games. She has never lost a duel.
But how many did she actually have?

This guy's list's endlessly wrong. Some characters didn't get skillful use that I'd have made of them, though that doesn't make them bad characters.
HOW DARE YOU PUT MY BOY ON THIS LIST! When we was a monkey it was true Cinema
You don't like the Pharoah's memories arc? I didn’t know that, interesting. Not a big fan of it myseld, but I do like Bakura in it at least!
This shit is hilarious, especially the Shizuka part lol
Would love to see a whole entire GX review

You should have ended the video with this quote : " Serenity now, insanity later " .

To be fair, early shonen anime female characters are poorly written. They are mostly the cheer squad/love interest .

Yeah if you had read the manga Honda's brother or nephew (I can't remember which) would be the top easy.
funny unbased video, subbed
How is it unbased when most people like these characters? (except Big Five. Literally nobody likes Big Five.)

Anzu is the original Orihime.
Serenity was the most annoying
Yoo so serious 🎯👌🏿💯‼️
terrible video. subscribed
The memories arc is pretty boring.
I agree on your list it's pretty accurate, but I disagree on you how do you like Zigfried dude is garbage.
Pls do gx series full watch
That person realy said anzu/tea opinion invalid already bye
Id have to say Orihime is the worst not Serenity.
I thought his name was tristan not honda
Dub is superior

i skipped the whole GX era cuz of jaden
