I'm debating with myself if Jason feels at all uncomfortable playing a character like this. His ability to portray such a wide and weird variety must be amusing to the rest of the cast. XD
Oooooh poor Matt...... Everyone always makes fun of Matt for cracking up during sketches, but to be honest, I am amazed at how he doesn't do it more often, as he always gets the funniest parts. Kudos to the whole cast!
It’s not that people are making fun of him. It’s nice to see an actor simply having fun just as we the audience are. Like it’s such a funny skit even THEY can’t get through it without breaking. It just makes it all the more enjoyable for everyone.
Did they though? I mean they were expected to laugh at jokes of higher ranking royals while being in control but are there historic sources depicting the exact laughter at the time?
I was in love with this sketch. Then Sir Francis said, "Sink me!" and I realized that what I had felt before was but a pale shadow of love. Hearts everywhere.
OH MY GOD. THIS IS AN ENTIRE SCARLET PIMPERNEL REFERENCE!! The expression "sink me!" is completely credited to the character of Percy, an Englishman fop who is secretly a hero but credibly plays the fool and who women want. He's actually the smartest character of all considering he plays everyone for fools by pretending to be a fool himself 🤣🤣. I recommend the books, musical, and even movies about the scarlet pimpernel (specifically the 1982 version that is available on UA-cam) if you liked this video because there is a lot more intrigue, action, and especially comedy where that came from.
Yep. Basically this is how Chauvelin saw the most remarkable Sir Percy Blakeney, baronet. ^_^ :D It's no wonder in burned Chauvelin up inside to be constantly thwarted by such a man. :D :D

Poor matt is the only sane person
Abi Johnson This reminds me of black adder
In most sketches he is
If you are the only one sane and everyone else is insane. Does that truly makes you sane?
Actually how Jason acts is how people of Nobel and rich of the old days act.
@Anon Ymous really then what was the joke of the sketch
franny: has a small wound and everyone is fawning over him like it’s an emergency
stephen: dead
is he behind the pale woman ? Lol XD
Yes, I too watched the video.

After watching The Scarlet Pimpernel in French class, I realize Sir Francis reminds me of him...
I know right
+Anna Little I was thinking the same thing when I saw this!
Now THERE would be a twist! lol
That's exactly what I thought.
Especially when Jason/Sir Francis said "Sink me" before fainting.
I _love_ The Scarlet Pimpernel!!!
This sketch perfectly captures how funny it is, *winks * just like it captures my _...heart!_ *swoons *
sir francis: "ah, sink meh!"
me: *has flashback to the scarlet pimpernel and chokes on orange juice*
So glad to see others know about the Scarlet Pimpernel!
yes I loved that reference
If people really laughed that way I don't think I could live in that time. I would die from annoyance.
Mythlover B I would have started a revolution just on the merits of rich pricks like that alone
I would become a serial killer, I guess.
Ahe-ah. That is the sound you would make.
Did they though? I mean they were expected to laugh at jokes of higher ranking royals while being in control but are there historic sources depicting the exact laughter at the time?
I will feel like rich people laughing
"I wish to bear your children." I think in this one Natalie is a calm fangirl...wait...
I think that's an oxymoron...
XDDD could you imagine if a girl actually said to a guy she liked?!XDD HAHAHA
Noodle no such thing as a calm fangirl
The power of a talking mime. We must never release it again.
"Is he behind the pale women?" 😂😂😂
I discovered the channel today with Snape in the Bachelorette, and seeing Jason playing Snape then Sir Françis is almost traumatizing
1:34 "Haw! That is the sound a swan makes."
I'm dying.
It’s more like a *OAARH* noise
Ronald Mcdonalds great great great great great great great grandma... I Mean Grandpa!

JTGameZ no clue what that means also i just meant you couldnt tell the difference between Ronald McDonalds 7 great grandma and his 7 great grandpa

Jason's voice is spot-on.

Literally this is on of my favorite sketches of studio C, because I have so many favourites.
OH MY GOD.
THIS IS AN ENTIRE SCARLET PIMPERNEL REFERENCE!!

4:05 the way he stood up killed me 😂
This is amazing work on Jason’s part. Absolutely amazing.
But have you dressed your own puppy?
Matt is very good at being a confused 1700s army captain.
I am studying for finals and watching these videos on my study breaks hehe thanks Studio C for making my finals week a little more bearable.
Don't worry, Matt, I'll dance with you! Wait, Sir Francis still has the puppy, nevermind!
"But have you dressed your own puppy?"
2:48 was the best moment ever!
"That is the sound a swan makes!" #DYING 😂!!!!!!
This is why the French Revolution happened
4:15 Well, that's just an excellent point.
Who's here from French Revolutionist manhunt?
Who saw these first and flipped out over franny in the manhunt?
wait where can i join the manhunt for franny
L as in Lojik me!

How does this guy get all the attention?!?!
(Pulls out the puppy)
What was I saying again?
He's pale and strong....conclusion: the dude is a vampire.
SINK ME!!! ITS THE SCARLET PIMPERNELL AAAHHHHH
One of Jason's funniest characters.
And it really is a cute puppy.
The Scarlet Pimpernel! :)
They should change the title now days Man vs TikToker
He must have caused the fire to faint with his charm.
Was this meant to be loosely based off of the Scarlet Pimpernel?
I think so. He said "sink me" and matts ponytail and costume look like Ian mckellan's chauvelin from the live action movie.
Thats what it reminded me of too haha
Yep. Basically this is how Chauvelin saw the most remarkable Sir Percy Blakeney, baronet. ^_^ :D It's no wonder in burned Chauvelin up inside to be constantly thwarted by such a man. :D :D
I’m just laughing at Steven! 😂
‘Out of me way ya popinjay!’
The essence of the "pretty boy" captured. Well played BYUTV.
2:25 Ah, so Franny's a fan of more civilized weapons from a more civilized age, like Obi Wan. 😂
Franny+ whoever he marries = mimes
👏
Gosh I love your 18th century videos, these are so great (fantastic costuming and mannerisms)!
I would probably choose whoever Matt was playing. Shy, quiet guys are more my type. LOL.
Ok, I forbid you to use The Scarlet Pimpernel. Marguerite falls down at the ball and Sir Pery's line in the book is "sink me!".
He reminds me of Sir Percival Blakeney's alter ego (from The Scarlet Pimpernel)
jason: “hold king george the third.”
me: thEY SAY
THE PRICE OF MY WAR’S NOT A PRICE THAT THEY’RE WILLJNG TO PAY
4:20 The puppy's face! XD
The deeper meaning behind this skit is very clever. I'm a fan. Props to Jason for his acting on this sketch.
I’ve always said men who wore makeup, dresses, and tight pants were considered rugged back then 🤣 this is too funny
This is probably one of my fave. Studio C's!
I always felt this was one sketch that should have turned into a series. Definitely.
That dog is absurdly cute. x3
Sir Percy from 1982 The Scarlet Pimpernel anyone?
8 years old and still amazing
Watching without audio, I came to realize that I knew everything that was being said without hearing it.
I watch too much Studio C.
I swear this sketch reminds me of “Poor fool he makes me laugh” the whole video
The puppy looks so frighted.
Is Matt always the only person who can think straight in sketches?
I think that mole has controlled Franny's mind
Why does this feel like a fever dream?
"This man is not a man at all."
Of course he's not a man, his head looks like a giant cupcake. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love Franny
Ah but have YOU dressed your own puppy ????
“But have you dressed your own puppy?”
........Fair point.
I'm not accustomed to exerting myself. -same
LOL This was hilarious, AND the costumes were quite impressive! I'd love to have Mal's dress!
I love Hamilton the musical lol
TheDerpyBox THAT’S WHAT I WAS THINKING THE WHOLE TIME! Matt looks like a dashing Alexander Hamilton.
Even the dog is George III
Jason plays the character so well!
I think he faked the whole robbery
the sound at 4:17 is the ancestor of the "you are roasted"! sound, LOL :)
"Is he behind the pale woman?" XD my favorite part
1:35 that the noise I make when I wake up in the morning. Anyone else??
The puppy is sooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!
I could watch this all day
Do you know how much friction that fanning is causing?! Reference, does anyone know what I'm talking about!
And that's the reason they had so many duels back then.
