WOW! This is one of the most difficult drum fills you could ever attempt. You stood up to no less than Steve Gadd; and you did it very well. NO one can call you a coward! Sending this to all my drummer and music producer friends. since I live in Nashville, Tennessee, that's a lot of guys.
Dude - your drums sound fucking bad ass. "I" tune my shit more like Tony on "Believe It" - you nailed that samba feel on the way out too. AWESOME WORK.. EXCELLENT
Just to echo the other Comments. You nailed this and yes this is not an easy song. Interesting hi-hat pattern I never knew. Great sounding drums. Is the music for Aja available for purchase somewhere or did you transcribe it. Again great work here.
Thanks! I bought the album Aja on cd, so you just hear the original track under my drums. As for the sheet I transcribed it myself, but it wouldn't surprise me if you could find the full sheet somewhere on the internet since it's a drum classic!

Taking on Steve Gadd is quite a daunting task but you nailed it! I love the sound of your drums and your pocket is really deep...!

A fine piece of drumming, nice to see a young fellow who can nail Steely Dan

Play it in the dark while sweating New Orleans style hurricane seasons of pitch
Great job and no glasses
He is very selective in music. Steely Dan is a wonderful choice for a cover.Congrats.
Nice work! Are you still playing?
Yes! I'm starting my master in pop/rock drum this year at university!
