I'm not trying in any way to diminish Bon Jovi's acts. He gave an example of what a true hero is. But I also think people need to watch the video closely and see that the woman who also helped walked up like a pro, very cautiously, then moved in, patting her back, and very subtly put her hand out, holding on to the woman so she couldn't jump. She looked like an emergency responder taking care of a situation through training. Bon Jovi was obviously talking to her too, and it could have been a diversionary tactic to get the womans arm holding the possible jumper in place. And he got right in there, helped her over, hugged her and talked to her. Once again, I'm not trying to downplay his actions, he was truly heroic. But I'm not sure why the news isn't also mentioning the woman, who moved in slowly, and, probably without the jumper knowing it, got hold of her so she couldn't jump. Special thanks to that woman who did as much (or more) to stop the horrible incident from taking place. (P.S. none of the stories I've read 'so far' mention the woman, so I may be incorrect in my statements if the majority of news stories include this brave woman.)
I'm very very happy people gave one damn about her. We're all brothers and sisters, no matter the life we're in it is beautiful they gave a damn in that moment.
He is amazing with his JBJ Soul Foundation and his JBJ Soul Kitchen (s) both help those in need. This day fate stepped in so he would be there on that bridge to help that woman. He didn't call 911 and wait for help. He and his production manager probably never thought twice about approaching her to help her during her distress. Their only priority was to get off the edge of the bridge to safety.
Was never a fan of his music, but to see something like this, really makes the man feel real. Giving the tunes another chance. But in a note that matters, what a stand up guy.
It's almost like a scene from a movie --- the hero calmly walks up to the jumper and says something like "Any way I can help you rethink this? Life is too precious, friend"

Full respect to him and his accompanied lady who noticed and reacted immediately
I've been a Bon Jovi fan since the 80s. Well done sir, well done. Hope she gets the help she needs. Middle fingers for the bumbs who walked by and did nothing.
Bravo Mr. JBJ, respect and love from Brazil
If you’re reading this and struggling, please know, you are valued. There is help for you. I’m so sorry things are tough right now but I promise you that if you start talking to people then you WILL find someone who will listen to you and you WILL feel better.
Give yourself time. Look after yourself. xx
@brendansings In a world 🌎 where I am all alone and depressed most of the time, this was nice to read. Thank you. Enjoy your day.✨
@@fab4ever I’m so sorry. Where are you in the world? There may be some support groups set up that you can talk to/attend. That’s what I did. I know the thought may sound scary but I promise it’s work to it.
@@brendansings thank you for your supportive words. I try to seek support groups but always bow out. I just need to get out of my funk. I am glad you are doing well 😊☮️
Could you love them both any more?! What an amazing couple!! No matter who noticed first, they worked together to change a life. They have always cared about others and made a difference. This is just one more example there is goodness in the world!! Well done!!
(P.S. none of the stories I've read 'so far' mention the woman, so I may be incorrect in my statements if the majority of news stories include this brave woman.)
well done guys, wish more people were like you.
Jon Bon Jovi & Team ☺️🥰
Thank You !!!
Vielen Dank !!!
Thank you for caring❤❤❤ as others just walked by!
Omgeeeee I've loved him since I was a kid !!! This is amazing! I'm glad she came back over and didn't jump! Thank you Jon Bon Jovi !!! 🙏🏽 ❤
John Bon Jovi is just built that way. He's good people.
Wow. Always knew Jon was a good guy, but this is above and beyond. Good on ya mate!
Above and beyond indeed
Bon Jovi for President.
He is not only a hero, but an exemplar human being.
Lol today I was thinking what a great tee-shirt it would be saying Jon Bon Jovi for president. Thinking of asking my daughter to make me one
John is incredible person !!!!!Amazing very humanity.
Always the best one John Bon Jovi
I'm very very happy people gave one damn about her. We're all brothers and sisters, no matter the life we're in it is beautiful they gave a damn in that moment.
He is amazing with his JBJ Soul Foundation and his JBJ Soul Kitchen (s) both help those in need. This day fate stepped in so he would be there on that bridge to help that woman. He didn't call 911 and wait for help. He and his production manager probably never thought twice about approaching her to help her during her distress. Their only priority was to get off the edge of the bridge to safety.
“I'll be there for You”
That is my boy, Jon Bon!!
Truly blessed! Helping each other is what it's all about!
He's been a hero for like forty years now and just doesn't stop
Was never a fan of his music, but to see something like this, really makes the man feel real. Giving the tunes another chance. But in a note that matters, what a stand up guy.
It's almost like a scene from a movie --- the hero calmly walks up to the jumper and says something like "Any way I can help you rethink this? Life is too precious, friend"
almost
Maybe it was staged ?
Beautiful well done Jon. I have always been a fan of Jon Bon Jovi's music band and solo. I have so much respect for this man and even more respect after seeing this video of his true kindness of helping someone in distress. Hope the woman gets the help that she needs God Bless You Jon.
Angels come in many forms and arrive at the time of need ❤❤❤
That hug. I'm crying.
Not to diminish Jon's role, but it's apparent from the video that the woman with him played a very integral one.
True she was straight on the scene
Iam sure they both did. Kudos to them
The fact that other people saw and walked straight past her is terrible and sad. Im glad she was persuaded not to jump. I hope she gets the help she needs. And amazing that jon and partner had the decency and hearts to help someone in need.
The best performance ever. JBJ will remember this one as his best. He was put there at that moment. Hopefully he made a friend for life and saw the light that fame isn't all its cracked up to be. Saving a life is much more special and he just did that. Way to go JBJ.
@@Sammy_98 hopefully this inspired him for additional music!
Awesome, way to go John! Look how many people didn't even look or think about helping.
Congratulations to bon Jovi for doing this!❤ It amazed me how many people just walked by her and didn't do anything That's a shame.😮
I like bon Jovi a hell of a lot more than I did yesterday well done sir you've well and truly gained my respect 😂❤
@@melkor2789 yesterday he created jbj foundation, housed the homeless and opened his jbj restaurants that feed the hungry for free. That was yesterday.
So many people walked right past her without even realizing what was happening. I can't help wonder if this lady had any idea who it was that noticed her. Life is 300% crazier than fiction. I hope she has a much better life from here on.
I am soooo proud of this man God LOVES everyone.
Bon jovi saves a distressed woman, thank you Lord, the timing is great.
We need more heroes like him in the news and in our lives I don’t mean superheroes those are fictitious characters I mean an ordinary man in an extraordinary situation who rises to the level of a modern day knight. Such an extraordinary thing to do. Thank God for men like him. Thank God protect and heal all of them.
tears nearly cames out, kind hearted man🎉❤🎉❤🎉
thanks for this unedited clip . thanks to all the kind people . the woman next to Bon Jovi is brilliant ! her reaction is golden ! quick , practical , assuring , without showing aggressiveness . like a textbook of rescuing people being disturbed . Bon Jovi didn't just leave the plastic bag there , maybe as a respect to the blue shirt woman's property , maybe a reason of leaving no rubbish irresponsibly , whatever it is , that's a role model gesture .
another bright fine day . thank you ! 🙏 may there are more good people than bad people in this world .
They were two saving her! Never forget that.
@@WhyX11 we know that.
Bon Jovi is a beautiful person ❤️ to have a compassionate heart 😊 God bless him and his beautiful family.
I've been a fan of Jon Bon Jovi forever. This is why!!! Thank you!!!
How can people just walk by and ignore her. Thank-you Bon Jovi and your friend for saving a life.❤
Well done Jon bon Jovi, you've changed that lady live forever 😊
This is Great news. Need more news like this. Thank you Mr Jon Bon Jovi. Chuck
I’ve never enjoyed Bon Jovi’s music, but I’ve long admired him as a man of character. What a good guy, and what a good woman….he was that woman’s angel, along with his assistant, who gets no credit but looks like she was the one who noticed what was happening and approached the woman first.
I always loved him, kudos to you Jon for such a beautiful act of humanity!
M still a Bon Jovi fan ever since 1986. M 57 yrs old now.
I have love him since the early 80’s he is the best and this proves it so kind hearted wow
Indycar visits Nashville this weekend and that's great reason to be optimistic. Good for Bon Jovi, a true Legend ✔️😃
The other lady deserves kudos too.
Bon Jovi is amazing. All the people who walked past her pretending that nothing is happening-shame on you😡
Agree… the young child wanted to reach out to her and the mother stopped him.
Whatever is going on in your life suicide is not the answer.
There is help all around us, you just need to know where to find it or talk to someone that can.
Bless everyone who helped this woman!
This is unbelievable. Look how many people walk passed her. Thank God she’s ok.
They could've walked by like everyone else ... bless them 💖💖💖
Not to discredit anyone in this video but the headline should read "Jon Bon Jovi's Assistant Saves Woman On Nashville Bridge" . She was the first to approach. Stood the closest to her, talked, rubbed her back then hugged her. Jon stood back and talked and assisted in helping her back over.
Impopular but true
Eh, they both did a crucial job in saving her. Plus, getting too close can spook them to jump, or worse, grab you down with them.
She is a woman and more likely to approach the woman without her feeling threatened. So yes went close first and he slowly moved in closer, keeping an eye on the woman's comfort level before fully approaching her.
Jon Bon Jovi is a great guy.
Lots of respect and love to this rock star. ❤❤❤👏🙏
This made me cry...So many people are suffering with mental health.. Sometimes I really believe hell on earth ..
It doesn't always happens with people who have mental health issues though. It may be impulsive too.
@@gamzillio true one bad day can hurt the worst
Amazing. What is shocking are the several people who walked by and looked at her, but kept walking. Shameful.
JBJ is a legend and a compassionate human being also. I've been a big fan of him since 1992. Guess he told that lady to Keep The Faith!
Aww thank you Bon Jovi for saving this woman
Very touching. Very moving.
to those who don't know, the woman with him is his wife dorothea. they were driving by together when they saw her and chose to help
It looks like the woman with Jon was a large part of this. She made Jon aware of the issue and was there with a hug.
Could be
But also possible is that John thought better a female helper at first
Great man.
