Hi, yeah, truly a nice all-around day bag, and some civilian equivalent one can be serious money. Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy.

I have one, too. Bought it NOS from the UK two months ago. Unfortunately, the interior white lining is gluey. Apart from that, I agree it is a very solid pack. Mounted a 200 round minimi ammunition pouch DPM PLCE onto the front. The Swedish meth bottle from the M40 fits perfectly in the side pocket of the ammo pouch. Regards from Germany.

Hi, yes, a very capable day sack, and you have modified yours nicely. As I stated, I have heard people say they did the same in the military but never personally saw it. That's a great idea with the ammo pouch. I also put one on my belt kit for no other reason than the storage capacity it gave me.Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy.

What are those two 'loops' for on the back, at the bottom on each side ?

Hi, as I have said, mine was used after the northern Ireland conflict, so mine was used as a day sack . I think I also mentioned it was sometimes added to on the molly straps, but I never personally saw that. The new day sacks filtered down to us, and these became obsolete. The 4 under the bottom would allow carrying capacity for kit or weapon systems, but I don't have an answer for those two, but I did thread waterproofs through mine using those. If you do find out I would be interested to know.Andy.

@@hiddenvalleyfootpaths2561 The only explanation that i can find so far is for the belt of an abseiling harness to pass through ! I've not seen any pictures though, so i don't know how that would work. I was wondering if a belt kit, without rear pouches or yoke may be used ? So that the pack is acting like a yoke and pulling up the belt at the back ( like the U.S. m1910/28 webbing of WW1/2) But then the pack would have to be worn lower on the back in order to reach. Judging by the amount of stitching on it, the intention must be to bear a significant amount of weight.

@user-xs1yx9tc9m I was thinking about webbing or belt myself, but I didn't want to seem foolish as i have been using it for years, and if it has a dedicated real purpose I sould know. This is something hopefully someone will know and pass on. Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy

That pack ought to take you 3 to 4 days bro..

Hi , You are totally correct it has the capability to allow you to pack for multiple days if you select your kit appropriately. I only really have the ability to do overnighters wildcamping due to family commitments. I have used it on exercise for 48 hours away from my main bergen before. I tend to over pack( bad habits). Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy

Hi, this day sack is fine with my army issue jungle sleeping bag with bivi bag and tarp. I can manage a lightweight, slimmed down wild camp with it..In my other wildcamping videos, you will see me using my army burgun simply because I can carry everything except the kitchen sink. I never pack my heavier sleeping bags in it simply for room saving.Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy.
