Dude this is awesome. Been away from the channel for a while and I come back you’re at half a million subs! Congrats on the success! Awesome seeing a fellow coal cracker killing it on UA-cam like this
So awesome brother! I want one of those packs..well both of them. Those flannels as well I'll never buy another flannel from anywhere else. And everything else is in my cart haha. Awesome stuff brother well done. Hey Jax,good job little dude!! Another awesome video as always brother 👍💪
Awesome! Tha cabin pack is like screaming at me: "Buy me! Buy me! Buy me!" :D Too bad about postage and import fees and other sh- stuff when getting things from the US to Europe. But I can say my favourite pack is the simple but well thought-out and bomb-proof Savotta Jakaari S ... and the Cabin pack is like that but in the cool old-sCool style! Love it!!
Another great back pack to look at is the Trapper Nelson which if I am not misinformed was a start for the Original BSA Backpack. I love th BSA backpack and used one all through my BSA days and now have collected a few along with first one. I did sew a few my copy of "The Trapper Nelson". Love planning and designing them. I feel your Passion! Great Job!
My question is where in the hell are men like this hiding? Should I just start roaming the mountains until I find my good mountain man? Someone who wants a family but loves primitive living. I'm no expert but I want to learn more. But to be honest, I want a real man. A protector, provider and someone who can be self-sufficient. Is that too much to ask?
Can you make a waxed canvas internal frame pack? On trail crew we need frame back packs with a hip strap made out of something durable. I go through an Osprey every season or two. They're light weight but not tough
@Coalcracker Bushcraft - any comments about carrying the weight on the shoulders vs. waist? Is it just a matter of keeping the weight low when using a pack that doesn't have a waist band that transfers the weight onto the waist/hips?
Very sweet products, Dan! Just found and subscribed to your channel a couple weeks ago and cannot get enough of your bush craft wisdom - much of it I "knew" long decades ago (or think I knew) but have long since forgotten. Wish you'd have been my Scout Master!
Good idea to increase the size of the straps, but the size of the pack is still ‘boy’ size. Do you make a man size pack for a longer haul, or more cargo.
Great product idea! I carried a BSA Yucca pack for years until I "graduated" to a Kelty pack and frame in the early 1970s. I still have my BSA Yucca pack. I dunno how Dan spells the name of his new pack, pronounced "yoo-kah," but Yucca is a plant of the dry and desert areas of the American southwest and is pronounced "yuck-ah." But maybe there's a Yucca variety in Pennsylvania that the locals call yoo-kah. Of course yoo-kah is the Spanish pronunciation.
I chuckled at that too, Neal! I reckon yoo-kah goes with navigating by coom-pass and the unsinged / frayed ends of parachord. :) I just found and subscribed to Dan's channel a couple weeks ago, but I cannot get enough of his tips and tricks and, well, his super attitude and teaching skills! --- Bravo Dan - however you pronounce these things way up there in Coalcracker country! Godspeed and blessings to you, your family and your staff!
Hey Dan been watching your channel for a while , laying home sick found towsends channel watched most of the play list found one of you in period clothing doing cooking systems , really liked it , I’d like to see some longhunter videos like that on your channel , love all your vids , but that was so cool
Damn nice looking packs and I'm sure they are top quality but the last thing I need right now is another backpack - wife would would have a hissy fit!!!!!
My Brother you, got them skills, I like Corporals Corner too I learnt some things on lashing things together but now I am Rusty now haha.. Thank for your videos
Really cool day pack and designs are simple. We should all be supporting small businesses in the USA that build quality and not quantity like in China or other places that are producing crap that does not last. I hope you sell more of these than you can make. Good stuff-
I bring a backpack everyday with me to work and a cooler. I keep a change of cloths in it and bkdy spray deodorant a change of socks some basic tools, although I use my son's backpack from previous years of school and they only last about a year with me using them. They always Rip and tear from weight. I love backpacks.
I am happy you are making some good solid gear. I'd get one for my little boy but they are just too small for me, I would take a picnic to the beach with one but not to the woods for the night. Get in your own version of the large frost river packs & we're in business. Keep doing the awesome work.
I really like the BSA Yucca pack. With the recent pack frame builds I have been watching on your channel, can there be a possible option for your Yucca to have removable straps and attachment eyelets or toggles so it would be an additional use of the pack to be on a sturdy frame? I currently have several frames built and looking to put this style of pack on it. I have learned a lot from your channel and appreciate the hard work you put into my training and experiences in all things outdoors. I now "Get in the woods" and do my best to "Crush the Day" thanks to your inspiration to do so. Thank you for all you do for this community.
You did a good job on reproducing that Scout Pack. I had one of those packs from 1963 until 1976 and thank you Greyhound bus lines lost it for me I was really sad although it was the one with the wooden frame. The cabin pack with the loop in the top is excellent for keeping your stuff dry that was a great idea Dan. I couldn't tell you how many times I needed something like that to keep from putting it in my pack or tying it under the flap of my pack but you know what I'm trying to say anyway great packs I like them. Y'all buy you one you need it you got to have it. Thank you for the videos. Dan stay vigilant my friend!
I love the Yucca pack, I just got a Boy Scout Yucca...for old time sake. I really like the one you make, I just wish Yucca packs had molle webbing on them to attach additional gear.
Dude this is awesome. Been away from the channel for a while and I come back you’re at half a million subs! Congrats on the success! Awesome seeing a fellow coal cracker killing it on UA-cam like this

Nice Scout Master pack !
Man sized it.
(Shoulder strap disconnect buckles)
Very very nice!!
Absolutely awesome packs Dan!!! The oils kind one really caught my eye but both look amazing and really durable!!
Awesome! Tha cabin pack is like screaming at me: "Buy me! Buy me! Buy me!" :D

Outstanding packs !! Cabbing pack is definitely one I would have.would the be available in UK?
Great gear as always. Wish you had a store to shop at. Keep up the great work. 👍
Excellent idea's for the back packs. I hope you sell loads amd people love them.

Those are just smaller copies of the goat.....the original "Duluth Pack"
Small time American manufacturing. Love it. I'll check out your store.
Guess I shouldve watched longer before the BSA comment.
I bet if you lined those straps with shearling, you’d attract more than Bushcrafters.
I tried loving my backpack. The other people at Mcdonalds were not impressed. 🤗😮🤗

Edit: Nevermind! This is why you watch the whole video
Any BlackFriday deals?
I’m looking for an oilskin poncho. I found one in Canada but I’d rather buy one locally. (Just a thought) thanks Dan 🙏🏼

Awesome !! Of course there are thousand of type of bags and backpacks but my only thing will be to add pockets for waterbottles
Good idea to increase the size of the straps, but the size of the pack is still ‘boy’ size. Do you make a man size pack for a longer haul, or more cargo.
Absolutely love the Packs HellToTheYeah
Hay on your shirts and hoodes make them in hunters Orange For hunting and your backpacks to please
I need a yucca pack pattern also. I know small humans who could use a BSA pack.
i want that Cabin pack so bad, but shipping was very expensive here :'(
Would a couple leather straps on the bottom of the scout pack be worthwhile for a tarp or bedroll? 👍🏻
When is it coming back??!! I wanna get it but it’s not available
Great packs Dan. Thanks for showing us and take care. 😊
It's so annoying that I cant attend one of your courses, since I live on the other side of the planet
Nice
Are the cabin packs coming back ?
Really cool stuff I got to check it out dude
Nice. Looks like old BSA packs.
Great product idea! I carried a BSA Yucca pack for years until I "graduated" to a Kelty pack and frame in the early 1970s. I still have my BSA Yucca pack. Dude, I didn't know you were doing this. I loved you in that movie, Road Trip.
I love the Yucca pack, I just got a Boy Scout Yucca...for old time sake. I really like the one you make, I just wish Yucca packs had molle webbing on them to attach additional gear.
Awesome packs Dan!! I have had 2 of the Boy Scout Yucca packs and sadly lost both. I am looking forward to getting one of yours soon.
I just bought a Mystery Ranch 80 liter so these aren’t my style but they’re super nice man.
Thoes are beautiful looking packs, but I'd love to see something in a larger range as well.
Cool bags!
Good afternoon from Syracuse NY USA brother and everyone else
🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍
Are your shirts made in house or in China.
In house! Made by Dan the man himself
Any idea when the Hutchins roll will be back in stock
Sweet packs wish they had bed roll tie downs on the bottom
Totally digging these new packs!
👊🤘🍻
Love the oil cloth pack. Glad you came out with one.
Awesome packs Dan can’t wait to get one.. maybe two
are they made in the USA or china?
USA! Made right in his shop in Pennsylvania.
I like the look and size of these packs.
Oh Man, Love that Yucca pack.
Great looking packs!!!!
Sounds like a win win👍👍
I would get one, if they had chest strap…..bummer😕
If you carry a shemagh in your gear you can tie around the straps to make a chest strap, should your load require it.
@@elky5987 ok, thanks ☺️
Hi dan
Oh my I need both
