Thanks for watching! If you enjoyed this video I'd love to hear from you in the comments.
Great idea to donate socks, especially this time of year! Anyone would love these beautiful projects!
Wish I could knit them that fast I have one pair on my needles my second pair! They are all great!
Beautiful spun yarn, Laura! Amazing! ❤
Thank you! 😊
I’m all about those neon socks! 😍
I love all of your socks. Very cool!
Thank you!
Love seeing socks,,,
Thanks Laura,,,

Thanks Elaine!❤️
I like your idea of donating the ones you aren't going to wear. There will be some happy recipients.
I think so too❤️
Lovely socks. Lucky recipients ❤
Thank you! 😊
Your hand spun yarn was such a lovely color against your skin. I suggest a lovely headband to frame your face and keep your ears warm.
I bet your local Women's Shelter would love to have some of those. Imagine how lovely for a woman who has been through a rough time to know someone cared enough to give her a pair of hand knit socks. Just a thought...
This is a great idea!
I loved seeing all of your projects that ended up in this box! I don’t think it’s excessive at all. I also enjoy knitting socks, faster than I can wear them out. What I’ve started doing, is just knitting the whole sock from the cuff to the toe, no heel. So basically, it’s like a pair of tube socks. Then I can cut in the heel after to make the sock fit any sized foot. I don’t mind the fit of a cut in the heel for myself, and no one I’ve ever gifted socks to has ever complained about it. So this way, I can knit all the socks, I want without knowing exactly who’s going to wear them. What are your thoughts on an afterthought or a cut in heel? Is this a strategy that might work for you so that you can still enjoy knitting socks, without feeling, overwhelmed by filling that beautiful cedar box?
This is a great idea! I have never actually tried an afterthought heel. Seems like such a practical solution though. Maybe this will be the year it happens!
Most of what i make is with needles that are 3.5 mm or less. Right now i am shooting for 14 pairs of sock for myself, but i have given away a few socks ( Moreno wool blends for people with neuropathy in the feet)6 pairs of gloves, 8 hats and 2 scarves over the last year.
I will custom knit socks, but i need 5 measurements to do so, heel to end of longest toe (with a notation of where the toe knuckles are), from ground to bottom of ankle (for heel), , the measurement of ankle and calf, length of the cuff from ankle to calf, measure around arch of foot near heel and measurement around toe knuckles.
Those strange socks look like german short row heels and no matter how you try they will always stick out weird.
Wow that's great! So many projects
How about the Joji Venezia shawl.
I'll check it out, thanks!
Boggles my mind that you spend time knitting socks and don’t wear them. You must really like knitting socks!
I know, really it's kind of silly. Maybe I should switch to really big shawls 😆
