I like your podcast but I love my Addi Interchangeables. As a knitter of 40 years and hundreds of projects knit on them they are pure quality and engineering. I use other brands for certain types of projects but for hats and sweaters they are like butter. Personally I would highly recommend them and people should try all brands of needles before they purchase needles or a kit. We are so fortunate now in the knitting world we have great quality and selection of tools, yarns and patterns to choose from. Thank you for your podcasts : )
Thanks for sharing your knitting tools...I used fixed ChiaoGoo needles for all my socks but I’ve recently had a lot of hand pain, so I switched over to Lykke wooden needles and HiyaHiya Bamboo Interchangeable needles.
Thanks for all the advice ,,re ,needles,,,,,, Love the 9 in for socks,,,,Have only tried hiya hiya needles once and got the sharps,,,,Too sharp,,,, Enjoying UR podcasts,,,, Elaine🏡🏡🏡🏡
Your hair looks great! Hope your shoulder feels better soon. I would be a grumpy mess if I couldn't knit!!! Thank you for the run down on needles and what no longer serves you. I kind of ponder buying the high end needles( 80% of my needles are yard sales and salvation army finds) but after hearing what you use I now feel content with my stock. The same with the sock blockers. Enjoy your day and oh yes I like the new setup...Sammy is a cute costar!
Once you go DyakCraft, you never go back! The only affiliation I have with them is being COMPLETELY IN LOVE with them. Since I’ve found these, my Knit Picks, Hiya Hiya, Chiaogoo, Lykke, and Addi’s haven’t left their cases. It’s been an expensive endeavor finding my perfect set. The cords swivel like the Hiya Hiya, but the material is ZERO Memory! They have Wood and Metal needles, but my favorite are the Black Nickel. They also make Crochet Hooks, which can also be attached to their cords for Tunisian Crochet. The best part is, everything is interchangeable, and they have many gorgeous cases to choose from.
Totally agree with Hiya Hiyas! I got my first interchangeable ones on a destash group on Ravelry. I have added many more to it, but use only my 9” for socks. The Crazy Sock Lady said you have to make at least 2 pair before you can tell whether you like them or not. I even have bigger size needles for baby sleeves and mittens.
I liked your background! I absolutely love my Chiaogoo Red Lace fixed circulars for sock knitting. I don’t even bother using anything else to knit my socks anymore. I just got the small Chiaogoo interchangeable set for Christmas. So far, I’m really liking them. I have a set Knitter’s Pride Nova Platina interchangeables that I like as well. I knit a lot of socks, and one of my favourite tools I have is a sock ruler. I have the Soxyzz from Burning Impressions. It’s very well made and I prefer it to a plastic ruler. I hope your shoulder heals quickly! Thanks for another great episode!
I think it’s funny about the resurgence of Caboodles; last summer I bought a couple of the rectangular two level “beauty to go” boxes and I store all my most used fountain pens (Twsbi and Kaweco). Recently I have seen a lot of people talking about Caboodles and their love of the brand or showing off recent purchases. I think they’re great for all different uses 😊
My go to and favorite is fixed red lace ChiaoGoo. I also have. Chiaogoo dpn in every size. I also have a Joanns interchangeable that I don't use. Cables are terrible. Many straight sets that I really don't use.
Thanks Laura! Like the new set up. Sorry about your shoulder...injuries that stall your knitting projects are so frustrating. Enjoyed your review on needles. It's very personal but always good to get reviews from others for people that are thinking about purchasing a different brand. I really love my Chaiogoos circulars but also enjoy my Hya hya bamboo circular needles. Not crazy about Adi only because of the cable. I love the sharp needles. Would like to try the hya hya sharps. Love using Dpns for socks and sleeves. Can not do the magic loops but see the benefits knitting socks two at a time which is why I dont enjoy knitting socks.🥴🙄, Sharon.
I’ve hurt my shoulder also. It is so frustrating. Hoping your shoulder heals quickly! Thanks for the video-I love your craft space-so bright and sunny.🌻
If you don't care for the look of your fabric stash as is, try getting card stock and wrapping it with the fabric you can cut it in half or quarters, making mini bolts, then stand them up like books. It gives a neat uniform look to your goods. Just learning to knit and watched a thousand videos on said knitting, ended up buying the entire ChiaoGoo line, mini's, shorties, and the regulars. HiyaHiya's are a bit too spendy for me. I tried the long sticks for a while, but as a crocheter for 50+ years they were just too heavy. Love your channel. 💖
So I too have a sets of interchangeable needles that I bought at Michael’s, long time ago, before I new about really good needle sets. They are the worst, I should trash them they are that bad. One small tool I keep in all my project bags is the Susan Bates mini knit/crochet hook for picking up dropped stitches. Also can stand in for a cable needle. I have a lovely sock ruler for my sock project bag.
After a lifetime of knitting and trying every needle out there, I'm completely in love with ChiaoGoo! ❤️

It's already starting to feel better! I think if you're happy with the needles you have there's no reason to go out and buy more

Oh I've never heard of this brand! I'll have to check them out
@@iheartewe I found them after seeing a woman use one of their Hooks in a UA-cam tutorial 😆
Your layers look fabulous 👌🏽🌸
Thank you! ❤
Love your set up: nice and organized. I love ChiaoGoo, Knit Picks and Lykke knitting needles.
I would really like to try some lykke needles!
@@iheartewe they’re light and smooth

Oh good idea with the destash! I'll try to pick up my 9" circs again once my shoulder heals
Love the new setup. I love bamboo needles.
That little garter stitch sewing needle holder is genius. I don't know where the hell those things go. Hope your shoulder feels better soon!
Thank you!! Already feeling better

I have one of those boxes as well! I use it for my travel cosmetics. Also have a big vintage one that holds all my stitching supplies. I'm obsessed
Laura I love your genuine honest sharing. So real and helpful. Your hair looks great. I like Chigoo red lace best. I don’t own a set but I have lots.
Aw thank you!

Yes they are back!
Your hair looks beautiful! I’m chopping mine tomorrow. I’m a crocheter and cross stitcher but would love to learn how to knit so thank you :)
Oh that's super fun!
Hi Sammy.
I like your haircut.
Thank you❤
