This was our first time in Kuala Lumpur and we spent our first day in eating and exploring, with a special guest. Amanda's Dad met us here in Kuala Lumpur! We did a ton of walking and ate lots of new delicious foods! It really was a day spent eating and exploring, and Amanda's Dad was adventurous and tried some of the delicious treats that Malaysia has to offer.

I've seen different videos of Kuala Lumpur, and this by far the best vlog of KL ive seen, you caught really nice shots of the buildings and districts in the city, it's nice that Amanda's dad got to meet with you guys, and that store owner is an idiot lol

Pro tip.
Next time try using Uber or Grab (SEA's version of Uber) instead of walking endlessly thru the streets, save you time and energy. There's always discounts and most of the drivers are rather friendly as well.
The white building you got lost in is called Dayabumi Complex. It's one of the earliest skyscraper in KL and the building has strong Islamic design influence, similar to that of the Petronas Towers. :D

If you in Petaling Street (Chinatown market) dont ask anything to the seller unless you really want to buy the things. If not they will force you to buy and wont let you go until you buy it. But you can nego the price as low as possible until both side agree on the price.

mamak restaurant is famous with their roti canai, tosei, naan or mee goreng..but better nasi goreng you have to get it at malay or chinese restaurant...
Really nice intro showing the city! I'm going in a week and this video made me wanna go now. Was backing out. I wish I had used y'alls airbnb code. I ended up booking a $400 hotel for a week which isn't so bad but they charge tourist fees now. Wish I had got an airbnb, way more affordable but oh well haha.

Cool video. I have travelled to many cities around the world and my top 3 favourite cites are in SE Asia (KL, Singapore and Bangkok). KL is my favourite city and I am hoping to retire there. Chinatown was OK, KLCC Park and Petronas Towers was awesome and I loved Merdeka Square but there are so many places to see that I have visited

I counted 4 connections from geylang singapore to kuala lumpur + 2 border controls. if you have just cabin luggage a flight is cheaper and takes 40 minutes to KLIA
Yes, it's usually cheaper if you book ahead of time. We booked a day before we left Singapore and nothing was cheap. I tend to look at all options before booking and flights were more than twice as expensive =/ 💜Amanda

Definitely lots and lots of eating! We haven't done too much drinking, but we paid about 20 Ringgit for a big bottle of Tiger beer. When we visited Marini's 57 a pint of draft beer was ~20 ringgit

Watched you guys drank the the teh tarik..it is actually a tea mixed with sweetened condensate milk and pour into a different glass/cup and back into the original glass, again and again to create the bubbles.
