Ren has been by far the most rewarding rabbit hole that I've chased in a long long long time. I am ever so glad that you are continuing on your own journey and taking us along with you. 😍👍
I freaking love this mash-up for two reasons: 1) I grew up mainly on Sabbath thanks to my uncle (mum's side), who played them a lot; I mean a LOT, a lot, and let's be honest, there's nothing better for tiring out an energetic pre-teen, than letting them bounce around to Sabbath et al.e 2) I saw RATM back in the 90's at Reading Music Festival (as it was then). When they fired up "Killing in the Name of" the crowd went freaking nuts and it was glorious! 😍
Happenstance, I was on a rare visit to Brighton ( for a jab) and they were playing on that side street ( Ship Street) , stayed for a while....and stopped by for more on the way back. There must have been about 100 others around, fantastic energy. As previous recommendations, everything really, Wade in the water, especially after finding early 1900, s version; Swan song is quite different from anything else he has been involved with. The Tales trilogy and Chalk Outlines are my currant favourites.
These songs were performed in this order that day. It was a great musical experience and this was a fantastic reaction and you're a real Rock Mama lol 🤪🤘👏 MORE PLS The Big Push "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop" (Bob/Damiaan Marley + Dead Prez ua-cam.com/video/uSeCuR51rek/v-deo.html The Big Push - War Pigs (Black Sabbath cover) mashed up with (Rage against the Machine) ua-cam.com/video/azAD9KE9HKE/v-deo.html The Big Push - Watch Out (live) (Original Release by The Big Push) ua-cam.com/video/x0YPR4wX2rg/v-deo.html The Big Push - Paint It Black (The Rolling Stones cover) ua-cam.com/video/9MkngQ2ojT4/v-deo.html
Great reaction! The guys have said they are on hiatus, so we may yet see them perform together when Ren comes back to the UK from Canada after his treatment. Hopefully fit, healthy and ready to make more amazing music. For something really different from them try one of their original track Swan Song. It is haunting.
You fools!! You slipped up by letting Ren come to Canada! Now we have the higher ground! I'm not giving him back he's too good. Maybe the UK can have him every other weekend. But we want full custody... lol
Never in a million years did I think I'd be entertained by a Black Sabbath song or Rap, but Ren is such an entertainer / artist he's sucked me in. Loved your gorgeous smile at the end, summed up perfectly what I was feeling.
Thank you! I LOOOOVE black sabbath! We actually have "paranoid" on our bike ride Playlist. It's our kids favorite sabbath song! BUT...I missed that the guitar riff was from crazy train!! 🤫🤣

Great to see you checking out Ren's happier music, this is great. I love watching him in front of a live audience. Personal favourite is 'Wade in the Water'. Away from the audience (except for cameraman and pet dog) another nice one is on his living room sofa with the Big Push 'An Englishman in New York'. What am I saying anything by Ren is golden. 'Chalk Outlines' and 'How to be Me' with Chinchilla, 'Blind Eyed' with Sam Tomkins, 'Ocean' with Eden Nash - I could go on forever - Ren is a talent magnet.

Mrs Real, I think when Ren finishes with his medical treatment in Canada, we will hear more from The Big Push. Singing with Ren is Garron and the lead guitar is Romain. Ren also has a knack for attracting the best musicians and singers around him. He literally launched Sam Tompkins into the public eye and now Chinchilla is taking off. Bibi, was his girlfriend in Crutch, before he was diagnosed with Lyme.
You missed the drummer, Glenn Chambers, and the others are Gorran Kendall (often playing base), Romain Axisa (the fantastic guitarist) and of course Ren Gill. People often refer to them as Rens band, but I think it is more correct to say "the band that Ren is in" or something like that. It is definitely not a one man show.
You have only just begun and the amazing Ren Rabbit Hole journey. My Spotify playlist has at least 25 tracks from Ren or the Big Push, or Chinchilla that are all individual yet equally top notch quality, lyrically AND musically. I also love "Precious" by the band, but try "How To Be Me (Live)" with Chinchilla ...... so special.💯
Black Sabbath is one of my favorite bands. Saw them live at Madison Square Garden NYC back in December 1976. Ted Nugent opened. Great show like this reaction! I wish they did the whole War Pigs song but Paranoid (and a little Rage) mashed in is fine.
@@MrsRealistic aah, just a baby! I saw so many great bands from 1975 to 1984. I was 17 in ‘75. Did have to deal with the whole Disco invasion onto the radio scene
I am guessing that the "massage" that Ren referred to to was their preceding medley of I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop - if you haven't checked it out yet, please do. It is incredible. Like you said, imagine wandering into town and finding this fantastic band playing on the streets. For free. Crazy !

I wonder if the guitarist is a jazzer. The beginning of the solo felt like a 'quote' - Randy Rhoads on Crazy Train. God, that takes me back to an underage kid at the Mayfair, Newcastle in 1980 and Ozzy topping the bill. I'd gone to see this guitarist, Rhoads, who had pricked the ears of just everyone. The support was Def Leppard I think, and Raven, a quite brilliant local band. I'm getting soooooo old.
OMG how EPIC!! I don't know how I initially missed the crazy train riff... it's one of my favs! You're so lucky to have seen such an amazing colab! Def Leppard and Ozzy were two of the regulars that were in my cassette player as a teen!
