So pleased you were persuaded to do this Classic version, just stunning and a lovely reaction. Bongo Bong from The Big Push is AWESOME.
Thank you! Yes, that one is on this list!!😊👍
The Big Push rooftop performance of Bongo Bong is undoubtedly one of the best experiences one can have with the band. It has a way of making you feel like you're actually there with them.
Ren Gill the man. Gorran Kendall on bass. Romain Axisa sologuitar and Glen Chambers on drums. The Big Pushs awesome bandmembers Just love this rendition. #2 on my playlist is Wade in the water/Trouble so hard. Older - from before lock-down - but equally amazing performance.
Thanks for the info! I appreciate it! 😊👍
I have watched this so many times. It is still the best live performance I have ever seen. And this is on the end of a street. Incredible !
I'm so jealous!! I wish I could see something this awesome in person!
Gave this a like before even viewing it, as I know you're going to love it!
Glen on drums, Romain on electric and Gorran on base 😊😊😊 (each one needs a smiley face of their own).
I never tire of this one. One of the best mash ups I've ever heard, and I love it when Ren goes reggae/ska 😍
Yes, his voice is perfectly suited for it!
You can't help but smile at this. So talented. Thanks for the reaction.
Thank you for your reactions and that you read them all means a lot. If Ren and Chin - Chalk Outlines broke you... You MUST listen to Ren and Chinchilla - "How To Be Me". Ren wrote it about his best friend who committed suicid. Their harmonies are out of this world... I don't want to say to much but I want to entice you to react to this. It's truly phenomenal... Most versatile artist I've seen in at least 20 years... Writing (musically and written word), sing, rap, direct, act, story telling, vision of a finished product, SOOO much to Ren.
Edit: 6:54 "Hip Hop" Is another song. All covers here. Ren and The Big Push are able to blend songs together effortlessly and weave in and out! "Hip Hop" song Group called "Dead Prez" ;) Music is life!
That one is definitely on the list next! I can't wait to listen to it!
I love this video. The band has so much energy, it infects the crowd. And shout out to my hometown Wolverhampton ❤
Yesssss!!! I still have family there!
Let's not pass on by how beautiful that Fender Telecaster Ren is playing! Romain's Epiphone is just as a beautiful guitar. The Bassist is holding the rhythm and melody down. Lovely Fender Precision Bass.
Your going to love Bongo Bong by the Big Push! Great reaction!❤️
Best mashup 👏🔥
I love the BOOM in a transition
7:05 it's a ska version of "dj luck & mc neat - a little bit of luck"
Thank you for that!!
shout out to the Drummer who is the unsung hero here
I noticed his talent in the other videos too. He's really great!
I like watching some of the older ones now and then, that guitar intro is something I'll never tire of hearing.
There are two songs from this gig that you haven't reacted to yet 'Watch Out' was the next one played and they finished with 'Paint it Black'
well worth a look😊
Thanks! I haven't done any Big Push stuff in a while!
This is one of my favourite song ren and the big push have done, what a cover🎉come over to the uk,make it a bucket list, love to see a few vlog from you❤
How wonderful that would be! One day...one day...*sigh*
The next best thing to getting to Britain in person might be the Prowalk Tours channel. They do POV walking tours of cities around the world, and I'm sure some British cities are included 🙂
Aww, thank you for the info! I do wish I had been able to visit in person. I don't know that I ever will or not, maybe until my children are grown.
thank you for doing this version and your reaction sending love from the UK ❤❤❤
Thank you Peter!
Ren is a fearless performer, the music just pours out of him naturally. Romain Axisa, lead guitar Ren, Gorran Kendall, Bass and Glenn Chambers, Drums. Hope you catch his interview today with Black Pegasus, it was great. Brighton is a beautiful seaside community. Great reaction as usual.
I feel very sad that I've never been able to visit. I only saw my dad once every year or two since my parents split when I was about 2... it was a promise never kept. I still have family there, some of whom I've met when they traveled to Canada, but many I've never met. My dad is now 70 and I don't think he'll be paying to take me to England now lol! I am going to check out Ren's interview...I just found out about it today!
@@MrsRealistic Glad you going to see the interview, it answered a lot of questions for me. I do know as I said on there, if Ren were my son, I would have my butt in Canada. If your heart's desire is to visit your homeland, try to start a little fund set aside. The UK is interior is in a horrible state right now aka London. They have flooded the country with foreign invaders much like our own borders.
@@docdurdin Yes, I've kept updated a little bit on how things have gone downhill there. I don't know if I'll ever visit honestly... as much as I would love to say I went... my kids will want to come, and so would hubby... and that's a LOT of dough! 😆 My dad would probably be able to tell me the best places to visit... but even he hasn't been back in eons.
Those red suspenders get me every time! I want to be there too!! I think this is one of my favorites of The Big Push ❤.
It's so good! Definitely a great time!!
Hip Hop was done by Dead Prez. Great reaction!
Oh wow, thanks for that info! That makes me feel old now 🤣
another excellent reaction, thank you so much for sharing. would love to see you cover "heretic" by Ren. i think it's probably right up your street and for pure unadulterated fun, try "watch out" by the big push, either the video (which is cuteness on steroids!) or the live busking version which was performed the same day and the same place as the one you reacted to here. much love to you and yours and thank you once again.
Thank you David! I look forward to checking those out! 😊👍
Romain Axisa(with the cap on) has lots of solo songs out there. Try the live version of his own composition, "Love Without Feelings", where he plays piano and is accompanied by violin, cello and a local church choir. It's truly beautiful. He has also done covers of some very famous songs, notably, Ray Charles's "Georgia On My Mind" or "Bang Bang" (Nancy Sinatra among others), "Blue Moon" (Elvis Presley). You'll love them all.
Thank you!! I'm getting some great suggestions! 😊
@@MrsRealistic Can't wait to see how you react to any of the above. Tbh, after watching one you'll want to see everything he's done. He has quite a few other originals written by himself and I don't think it's an exaggeration to say they're all top quality songs.
@@AlSnoopsReid It might take some time, but I'll get there eventually 😉
One word - Amazing!
That's for sure!
Yes, yes, and yes.
Nothing but women there!! They must love reggae music?
That must be it 🤣🤣🤣
The oft shirtless bassist and second vocalist is Gorran Kendall and the fancy guitarist is Frenchman Romain Axisa
Thank you! Is Romain from France, but lives in England?
@@MrsRealistic yes
@@keithsowerby8179 I didn't know that! I assumed they were all from England! Thanks!
@@MrsRealistic There is some French sung in their Manu Chao cover - Bongo Bong
@@keithsowerby8179 very cool! I'll see if I can catch it... being from Canada i know a tiny bit of French... and I mean *tiny* 😆
Absolutely incredible. This is my fave performance of TBP. Followed by
Wade in the water/ Nina Simon’s/ trouble so hard
Swan song
Englishman in New York
Sweet little lady
Why my woman
Watch out
Band members -
Ren
Romaine Axisa - black guitar
Gorran Kendall - bass guitar
Glenn chambers - drums
Your Dad is from wolves? That’s not far from where I live. I’m in Coventry, he will know of it 😂🖤
Yes! He moved to Canada with my Nan and Granddad when he was 13! I so wish I could travel back and see England. It's on my bucket list 😁👍
Fan-bloody-tastic.
Yep, that's about it.
😁👍
Come on Mrs Realistic time to get yourself over here to the UK. Glad you enjoyed it.
Maybe one day! I sure would love it!
nice
Never been to my "mother land" either ! Scotland!
Oh, I would LOVE to visit Scotland!! Our 15 year old has a pretty spot on Scottish accent 😆
Romaine lettuce is an excellent source of vitamin A, and The Big Push's Romain is an excellent source of guitar licks. 🤠
That's friggin' hilarious 🤣🙌
Soooooooooo good!!!! Great reaction!
Aww thank you! 😊🙏
I ❤ ur reactions. You know your ship!! Thank you 😊
Thank you, that's very kind!😊🙏
The Hip Hop part is a cover of an old rap group Dead Prez
Now that a few have mentioned it...I feel old because they were around back when I was in my early 20's lol!
I play this many times a day ❤
The ska section isn't named in the title. The four songs in the mashup are
1)I Shot The Sheriff (Bob Marley)
2) Road to Zion (Damien Marley)
3) A Little Bit of Luck (DJ Luck and MC Neat)
4) Hip Hop (Dead Prez)
Other than I Shot The Sheriff, the rest are from the late 90s early 2000s.
Thanks! Yeah I didn't recognize the ska part!
👍
Darn the UA-cam algorithm😁.
🤓🇸🇪
Yup, they lovvvve to sensor you!
Killed it….👏🎸😎
Thank you!
Yes, the ladies love Ren. The men were pushed to the back of the crowd so that Ren's groupies could flirt with him. Ren did make one mistake but recovered so fast it is so easy to miss it. Thank you for reacting to The Big Push. They are loved almost as much as Ren himself.
Considering the current fuss around Rammstein, the comment feels odd to me. (I get it it's a joke but still - as I said.)
🤣 I didn't even notice that... it's all girls!
Patrick, have you knowledge/evidence of "men being pushed to the back of the crowd so that Ren's groupies could flirt with him" ? Or is that just your take on matters ? What was the mistake that Ren made and recovered from ?
@@sammyd8860 Is this UA-cam or am I in a court of law?
@@patrickquinlan3056 Funny ! I just asked you a couple of questions mate. Up to you whether you answer them
REN ‼️rising👏❤️
Nice reaction! Glen is on drums, Romain on guitar, and Goran on bass
Thank you!
check out their other band cover . sympathy of the devil , johny be goode , my generation , bop pe lula , lonely boys
Thank you for the list!!
Watch some busking with Ren and Sam Thompkins. Blind eyed is a fantastic song. Sam has an amazing falsetto! Ren has such power and lung capacity, and Man's World really shows it.
Great reactions. New sub!
Thank you! I still have to check out their colab!
The redhead white t-shirt girl is prolly one of em he ghosted! Lol
As in his line in losing it... I'm Scooby-Doo, Ghost a Groupie!!! Lol
Haha! I'm sure he has TONS of groupies! The one chick who kept waking through the shot like she owned the place actually was pissing me off lol!
You know you’re good if you are playing a guitar solo in a band with Ren. Romain is an amazing guitar player ❤😊
Yes, he really is!! 🙌
Awesome aren't they! All THIS! Just on a street corner, and for Free! Can you imagine them in a big stadium? I can. But the timing is so crap. Just as their past work is getting a much bigger profile, with Ren's rise, especially when Hi Ren broke through, they broke up just before. Most now working on solo stuff. A LOT of people are asking whether they might still get back together for the occasional Gig. Don't know what their answer is.
Meanwhile, Ren's love of Reggae really shines through here and explains why we hear Reggae 'flavours' in a lot of his work. A Great Appetizer Plate of his enormous range. 😄
Yes, I heard talk of them doing more together... altho I'm not sure if that's still the case? They really are great!
For something different try The Big Push "Swan Song" and Ren plays something not a guitar.
Oh, sounds great! Thank you!
Brilliant isn't it?
I laughed at you calling out the girl making eyes at Ren. Truthfully I think all the girls in the audience looked pretty thirsty. LOL
🤣 True! In fact, the girl with the pink bangs who kept walking through the bands space, right in front of the camera was a bit annoying. I was thinking, "rude much?"
@@MrsRealistic Let's not judge thirst. They all need a long cool drink. Hahahhaa
@@grantkeenan9014 🤣🤣🤣 I was once young...I remember 😝
Great reaction. Try Precious, Icarus and the acoustic version Acustarus, Praise You, Watch Out. And a bunch of other great songs.
Thank you! I'm getting some great requests!
Watch them do What Kind of Woman Is This, so good😁
Thank you! 😊👍
Look at the percentage, I only saw one man in the crowd! Redhair girl had a lot of competition should she have that agenda!
🤣 Yup! And that one girl with the short pink bangs was getting on my nerves, walking back and forth, right through the band while they played. I was like..."rude much?"
@@MrsRealistic She gots to get noticed!
@@Pablopax4 That's what I was thinking. But this show is about the BAND hunny, not you and your pink hair. 😆
Great reaction, come and visit the mother land 🇬🇧🙂
Thank you! I sure would love to! 😊👍
I was surprised to 'ear tha your dad was from wolverhampton, i dow' live too far from there. 'ope ya get wha i've typed, i've typed it as we would say it in the black country, keep up the good work, it's bostin.
Ha ha! Thanks for that! My dad lost his accent except for a few little "english-isms" that he still says... but me' Nan and granddad still had their's. I always loved how he said "sumit" instead of something. And I can still hear my Nan saying, "I'll have a littl less of that which the cat licks his ass, I will!" And when my granddad really loved something he'd say, "That's joost gooojuss! (gorgeous). They were awesome. RIP Nan and Granddad.
The mother land is waiting for you 😊
Awww! I would SO LOVE to go one day!! Thank you! 🤗
Come and visit us in the UK 🇬🇧 we Love Canadians ❤️
I wish!!! But taking 5 people would break the bank!! We live in Texas now, but I was born and raised in Canada 😁
@MrsRealistic Ho bloody hell why ?
@@maxmoore9955 My husband is from California. I've lived in the US for 17 years and our 3 children were born in the states. Texas is pretty awesome. 😁👍
@MrsRealistic we get a distorted picture of America I suppose with all the mass shootings we see on the news .
How to be me, lets go
It's on the list! 😊👍
❤❤😊❤❤
Lmao I live in Wolverhampton also know as wolvo
Oh how cool! I was excited to learn that Birmingham was only 10 miles away from there... where the Peaky Blinders, my favorite TV show, took place 😆👍
@MrsRealistic only just got round to this but yea its filmed at a place called the black country museum in dudley ( 5 mins ) away from me black country is because we had the majority of coal mining and all the people had coal ova them hence the name
@@mikeaston5201 They did a really good job on the series of making it look that way! My dad has told me a lot of stories of growing up there and going to gather coal.
No better place to grow up thanks for ur reaction x
@@mikeaston5201 I hope to visit one day... but it'll probably won't be until I'm long retired 😂
She couldn’t leave her hair alone either big tell .
Haha! Yes!
I'm a yam yam (wolverhampton) born and bred.
So nice to "meet" you! My dad has gone back a few times but he's lived in Canada since they immigrated. His wife is also from England, altho not the same area, and funnily enough they met in Canada!
I was smiling like a Cheshire Cat when I heard wolverhampton haha I got excited and told my 4yr old about it and she looked at me like I was a bit mad. its nice to meet you too, I heard your dad was going to bring you over when you was growing up? its a shame you never got chance to. @@MrsRealistic
@@rachelmanley517 Yes... he always said he was going to... but I never got the chance. I lived with my mum growing up and he lived a 2 hour plane ride away. I only saw him once every year or two so I guess it was what it was. He didn't go back until I was already grown with my own family. I hope to visit one day, but probably not until I'm well retired 😪
I wish I could say that visiting Wolverhampton would be magical, unfortunately we dont have much going for us apart from our wonderful personalities and our great accent 🤣 you seen peaky blinders? its set around Wolverhampton and other towns. does your dad still have his accent? @@MrsRealistic
@@rachelmanley517 Yes, that's what I thought was so cool... that my FAVORITE show, Peaky Blinders was filmed just 10 miles from Wolverhampton, in Birmingham! I'm actually re-watching the series now because I love it so much. That and Call the Midwife. I've watched that whole series 2 or 3 times 😄 No, my dad doesn't have his accent anymore, but my Nan and Granddad never lost theirs. They've both since passed. My dad still has certain things he says that are clearly "English"... like he says "Enne-thing" (anything) instead of how Canadians or Americans say "E-knee-thing". My Nan and Granddad had so many awesome terms that no one would understand unless they were from that area. 😄 I have many fond memories. My Granddad was a magician and entertainer his entire career. He looked like Santa...5'2", jolly and pure white hair, mustache and eyebrows! My Nan could make anything, DIY, was an amazing cook and just a lovely lady. I miss them dearly.
U got a sub for the drummer clock dude. Not like me ti mis that
Nice to have you! Welcome aboard! 😆👍
Just bought myself an electric guitar, basic bitch kit because ren!
@@crook8468 That's wicked!!
Gonna re "ren,invent"myself ;) lol ua-cam.com/video/2doL9dHQ3nY/v-deo.html
Hip hop was Dead Pres, a little bit of luck... Bugsy Malone, Dj Luck.... all iconic.... 😊
Does anyone else wonder how many calories Romain has to consume before/after performing? He is constantly moving, jumping, dancing around, etc.
😆 probably a lot... and he's slim, so he's clearly burning them off!
Not that wonderful and a cover song.
My bad, the Hip Hop is decent.
Great reaction. Try Romain's retake of the classic GEORGIA ON MY MIND Busking solo 🤌🍯💥💥🙏
Thanks for the suggestion!😊👍
