    Asad! this 3 way mirror is a good idea to use in the video! we can see the exposed angle and the front view at the same time, we can learn it much more easier

    I actually don't directly vanish it. I pretend that I'm (very obviously) palming the card. And say its vanished. When they laugh (or point out its still in my hand. I show my hand empty.

    this could fit well in ambitous card if you have a table you do the move and your rubbing you tell them to snap boom card is on the top of the deck instead of under your hand where you "put" it

    Well taught and cleanly performed, but I think it is important to credit the people whose ingenuity and talent is responsible for the creation of the card moves and tricks that are performed and taught on UA-cam. In this case, it was Paul Stadleman who first published the vanish in 1925, in The Magical Bulletin, under the pen name, "Thor." It was later popularized by the great Ed Marlo after he published the technique in his book, Off the Top, in 1945, under the title, "Rub Away.."

  • @Allabouttvandmovies
    @Allabouttvandmovies 8 років тому

    wonder as your rubbing the table you could slide left hand back to table and do a slight tilt so card falls in lap. especially a signed card so it melts thru the table and you bring it out.all attention can be focused on the rubbing motion. could you do a video utilizing this move also to do a signed card thru table? thanks asad. great video and sleight.

    Hello Asad! I like you chanel, like the way you teach. Thank you for tutorial and for your job you doing for us. So, there is my question: we always see your sleight of hands and it's good, but I think, that it will be interesting for us, for your students to see your skills in showing your sleight of hands to real spectator like a street magic videos. It's not necessarily to do it all time, but if you'll do it, for example, one in ten videos, it will be realy cool and informative. What do you think about it?
    P.s.: I'm not english speaking, so I hope I wrote it all right :)

    Hey Asad and Vinh, first of all I loved your video, and I am really happy 52kards is evolving I always love ted talks. Secondly I would like to know if Vinh has any control over 52kards site if not this commente is mainly directed to Asad. I am a begginer in magic and i got motivated to do it because of your videos, on that note i would love to enroll on the foundations of card magic but i don't have money to spare so when i was seeing the course i noticed you have an option to use coupons so how can i get one? I would like to discuss this with you if you'd prefer to do it in another place other than the comment section just contact me in any way you want. Thanks a lot for your time

    What are your thoughts on sound? When I first do this move by actually moving a card onto the table to get the look and feel down, there is sound of swiping the card down to the table. Do you recommend simulating that a bit when doing the vanish?

    I know the rub-a-dub for a longer time, learned it from Gerry Griffin. As he teaches the move, the right hand and the side edge of the card (approx a third) touch the table while the card is retractet with the other hand ... this in IMHO a little more convincing although your performance is top notch...check it out ;)

    You should put more emphasis to everyone about the motion of the right hand...its huge in the illusion...you want to swipe down n flat as you would if you really took the card...i see many just swipe and not really how the hand would be position wise if again u took the card...i think again the right hand is very important if not moreso than the left.
