Asad! this 3 way mirror is a good idea to use in the video! we can see the exposed angle and the front view at the same time, we can learn it much more easier
I actually don't directly vanish it. I pretend that I'm (very obviously) palming the card. And say its vanished. When they laugh (or point out its still in my hand. I show my hand empty.
before I watched the explanation, I repeated the intro like 10 times to see if I could spot it. Even after watching the rest of the vid I still couldnt. that was amazing man
this could fit well in ambitous card if you have a table you do the move and your rubbing you tell them to snap boom card is on the top of the deck instead of under your hand where you "put" it
Well taught and cleanly performed, but I think it is important to credit the people whose ingenuity and talent is responsible for the creation of the card moves and tricks that are performed and taught on UA-cam. In this case, it was Paul Stadleman who first published the vanish in 1925, in The Magical Bulletin, under the pen name, "Thor." It was later popularized by the great Ed Marlo after he published the technique in his book, Off the Top, in 1945, under the title, "Rub Away.."
wonder as your rubbing the table you could slide left hand back to table and do a slight tilt so card falls in lap. especially a signed card so it melts thru the table and you bring it out.all attention can be focused on the rubbing motion. could you do a video utilizing this move also to do a signed card thru table? thanks asad. great video and sleight.
+master awesomeness he probably does have to pay for them, but gets them for cheaper because buys them in bulk for 52 kards, he just takes a deck out of his bulk he bought
Hello Asad! I like you chanel, like the way you teach. Thank you for tutorial and for your job you doing for us. So, there is my question: we always see your sleight of hands and it's good, but I think, that it will be interesting for us, for your students to see your skills in showing your sleight of hands to real spectator like a street magic videos. It's not necessarily to do it all time, but if you'll do it, for example, one in ten videos, it will be realy cool and informative. What do you think about it? P.s.: I'm not english speaking, so I hope I wrote it all right :)
Can you make a tutorial on the dribble control, where you pick a card from the middle of the deck and when you dribble the cards, the selected card comes to the top.
Bodybuilding and magic has nothing to do with school, so that's the MOST difficult part of making a living off, because you are not doing what the system recommends.
Good tutorial and i really like the idea of using the mirrors, you are a good teacher. But what is that black thing in front of you that i see in the mirror?
Hey Asad and Vinh, first of all I loved your video, and I am really happy 52kards is evolving I always love ted talks. Secondly I would like to know if Vinh has any control over 52kards site if not this commente is mainly directed to Asad. I am a begginer in magic and i got motivated to do it because of your videos, on that note i would love to enroll on the foundations of card magic but i don't have money to spare so when i was seeing the course i noticed you have an option to use coupons so how can i get one? I would like to discuss this with you if you'd prefer to do it in another place other than the comment section just contact me in any way you want. Thanks a lot for your time
a really good i dea is to take 2 cards when you them and let the top(second card is the real top)and flip it over dont pay attention to it but just so in ther emind its on top and then do the trick afterwards you cn show here it isn't the top card is vanished :')
What are your thoughts on sound? When I first do this move by actually moving a card onto the table to get the look and feel down, there is sound of swiping the card down to the table. Do you recommend simulating that a bit when doing the vanish?
Guys, why is my hand shaking, even if it a bit, when i show some magic to other people? this is really uncomfortable for me. I don't think that anxiety is the answer, i don't mind if i fail tho, but why do i keep shaking? pls help me to overcome this. I respect your help and answer.. thanks :)
+52kards Hey! Asad I live in a country where you can't get good cards and I also don't have a credit card so I can't order online, but I can get 2 decks from a freind from the US so what do you think Gatorbacks or Splitspades? don't think about the price just tell me which will be better according to handling
I prefer to pretend to palm the card rather than rubbing. First do a double lift then palm the card and change to something else and then pretend to palm the card and vanish it. Just like in the intro of movie shade.
Hey 52Kards. I ordered a deck of banshees off you but they departed San Francisco 14 days ago and apparently there still in transit. What should I do about this?
all your tricks I do them all cleanly but I want to put them in a card tricks like butter n. just make a video how to make a card trick or how to get the idea 😧
Good job!!! Very helpful tutorials, keep up the amazing work plz...subscribed! I know the rub-a-dub for a longer time, learned it from Gerry Griffin. As he teaches the move, the right hand and the side edge of the card (approx a third) touch the table while the card is retractet with the other hand ... this in IMHO a little more convincing although your performance is top notch...check it out ;)
You should put more emphasis to everyone about the motion of the right hand...its huge in the illusion...you want to swipe down n flat as you would if you really took the card...i see many just swipe and not really how the hand would be position wise if again u took the card...i think again the right hand is very important if not moreso than the left.
Damn, your Rub a Dub Vanish is so clean it's insane!
Hey! Nice to see ya here
+The Golden Ninja you too
+TheRussianGenius I wonder why nobody is replying to you
Hey!
+The Golden Ninja I replied
Asad! this 3 way mirror is a good idea to use in the video! we can see the exposed angle and the front view at the same time, we can learn it much more easier
I'm glad it helps!!
Yeeeeeeah keep those 3 mirrors
Agreed. Much easier to see everything.
he's a smart man
Whats that mirror called? Where can you buy it?
Thanks for these lessons! Now I can show some magic tricks to my friends to amaze them. Feeling of looking at their face is priceless.
I actually don't directly vanish it. I pretend that I'm (very obviously) palming the card. And say its vanished. When they laugh (or point out its still in my hand. I show my hand empty.
Ha! That's actually a good idea
Ha! That's actually a good idea
+CoverTrick so good it deserved two comments, lol
+YoyoCuber lol
Dang someone did that before me
before I watched the explanation, I repeated the intro like 10 times to see if I could spot it. Even after watching the rest of the vid I still couldnt. that was amazing man
Such a nice idea recording the video in front of the triple-mirror, it helps a lot!
Awesome Tutorial!
I used to be a fan. now I'm an air conditioner...
Your handling is so clean! Ahhhhh I envy you, Asad!
The 3 way mirror is a very nice idea. Even a one way mirror would be good, but this is amazing!
good idea putting that 3 fold mirror in front . makes all the angles visible
Fantastic tutorial. I use this move in a card to pocket effect which gets great reactions. Very clearly explained. Love the channel
You are a great teacher my man! I always learn something new! (Or something I totally forgot I knew...lol) Thanks!
Even in 0.25 looks like magic, thats how you do it. Very well done :)
your are really one of best instructors in the world
damn. i remember watching your pencil spin tricks and now youre almost at 500k
Do a tutorial about "52 shades of red", a great Shin Lim's trick
this could fit well in ambitous card if you have a table you do the move and your rubbing you tell them to snap boom card is on the top of the deck instead of under your hand where you "put" it
your sleight of hands are soo clean

When sliding the top card off with your thumb, is it okay if the 2nd or even 3rd card below it slightly moves with the first card ?
Would be more impressive following a double lift show. And then revealing the top card being different after you made it disappear !
Great stuff, thank you!
Is that the mint deck? I can't wait for it to arrive.
Yes! Mints are coming...
do you buy all of your cards
+52Kards how much will they be?
+master awesomeness he probably does have to pay for them, but gets them for cheaper because buys them in bulk for 52 kards, he just takes a deck out of his bulk he bought
Asad, please can you do a tutorial on the cascade card flourish? i cant find a decent tutorial on it on youtube. Thanks
great video asad thank you

you are totally crazzzyyy!!!! wow asad!!!!
52Kards could u do a tutorial on how to stick a card on your finger and then rotate your hand without rotating the card??
Can you make a tutorial on the dribble control, where you pick a card from the middle of the deck and when you dribble the cards, the selected card comes to the top.
Rahul Iyer That sounds like a dribble pass
Critical Movie Fan i prefeer sidejogging and then dribble/riffle passing, its seamless and raises no suspicion
Nice video!
If I literally had a choice I would become a calisthenics body builder or a magician instead I am becoming an engineer.........
Bodybuilding and magic has nothing to do with school, so that's the MOST difficult part of making a living off, because you are not doing what the system recommends.
+Faris Aliy dude I'm a football player and a magician :)
Good tutorial and i really like the idea of using the mirrors, you are a good teacher. But what is that black thing in front of you that i see in the mirror?

When are the mints dropping? Haven't gotten any updates in a while.
hey asad, do you have tips for tricks or anything to use this move in performances?
Could you please reply with a link to the mirror used here? Thanks!!
well explained! thank you :)
I was thinking of actually sliding a card over for a rub, a couple of times, before the vanish.
asad oranyone for teh matter of fact. what would you consider the top 5 classic/ popular effects or tricks of card magic
do you have a mirrored video like this on The Pass?
I like the intro
Dude. I need that mirror.
a really good i dea is to take 2 cards when you them and let the top(second card is the real top)and flip it over dont pay attention to it but just so in ther emind its on top and then do the trick afterwards you cn show here it isn't the top card is vanished :')
Credit to the legendary Ed Marlo.

Nobody is going to notice such a slight sound lol
Nice intro!

+52Kards OMAGAAWWDDD IM DEAD
+52Kards I LOVE YOUU
+52Kards JEEZAS CHRIST I WAS STAYING STUNNED FOR 30 SECONDS OMAHGAWD
+52Kards check my channel, Subscribe please dude or a shoutout
What do you practice your cards tricks on? is it a mat or what?
can you tell me what day out on your deck and to what site to find it?
I find it easier to also place your pinky at the back of the deck closest to you.
And if you can explain how to get a card inside a balloon like Justin Williams at the last it will be great
You Can show the card and Then do the trick, when is done is gone and you could have the same card an other place. That would be Nice
Guys, why is my hand shaking, even if it a bit, when i show some magic to other people? this is really uncomfortable for me. I don't think that anxiety is the answer, i don't mind if i fail tho, but why do i keep shaking? pls help me to overcome this. I respect your help and answer.. thanks :)
could you teach us some card twirls?
+52kards Hey! Asad I live in a country where you can't get good cards and I also don't have a credit card so I can't order online, but I can get 2 decks from a freind from the US so what do you think Gatorbacks or Splitspades? don't think about the price just tell me which will be better according to handling
Oh and yeah I can't get both cus I need gaffs and duplicates so that's why I need you to tell me one
Do you think this would work well in an ambitious card routine?
Alicia Ambrose If done well then why not?
3:35 Mmmmm, Assad!
Thx cool little trick
I like your videos

Awesome video Asad.Where is Vinh????
We will both be teaching on the channel now.
I am sure if Vinh does the teaching, everyone asks where is Asad...
how can I get that table? do you sell it?
which cards are good for magic and where can I get the original deck ? ( I bought bicycle deck from Amazon and it looks fake )
Same here don't buy from there its very thin and low quality
Pradeeksh Adoor u Indian too
Hey 52Kards.
I ordered a deck of banshees off you but they departed San Francisco 14 days ago and apparently there still in transit. What should I do about this?
_
Send us a message with your order # to contact@52kards.com and we can look into it for you.
+一 great name man
you should make playing cards that's made of stainless steel or something so you could through them it would be awesome!!!!
Thank you.
Yo how long have u been doing magic?
Hey asad this is maitreya! Do you ship cards to india!!! Pls say yes 😰
I'm from the UK. Can I still buy from your website, even though all the products are priced in USD?
Yeah
Max King the shipping is even more then most of the card decks available😁😂
Yeah - I knew it would be a lot! But there are things on 52Kards that I can't find anywhere else that I really want, so who cares about shipping :)
all your tricks I do them all cleanly but I want to put them in a card tricks like butter n. just make a video how to make a card trick or how to get the idea 😧
What's the trick called where people flick cards off of the top of the deck?
shooting a card ?
Matthew Boyd yes that
+PikUpYourPantsPatrol oh there you go then :D
The top shot?
How does the magician actually lose the card on the left hand though is what I don’t get...
Uh when you first did the trick I instantly noticed you just moved the card... Do I have eagle eyes or was it just obvious :P
First thing they'll do is look at the top card, probably. Maybe a double lift can counter that.
Can I enter the contest
Wish i had that mirror for sunscreen
very cool
Is the deck you're using US printed?
Yup
I like the mirror but when it shakes it bothers me...
Does anybody know if the Bee coterie gold deck is considered rare or not???
depends on the seal you have. there were only 650 decks printed of the gold seal. If I'm not mistaken, 6500 of the originals
Black MInt Deck?
Which deck of cards is this?
Good job!!! Very helpful tutorials, keep up the amazing work plz...subscribed!

Asad the best!
I miss old intro.
can someone link me to somewhere i can buy that type mirror
52kards.com/product/close-up-pad-3-way-mirror/
The mirror that Asad is using is also a closeup pad. You can find it here:52kards.com/product/close-up-pad-3-way-mirror/
no thats the only one i know available by far
the spoon was never really there
I almost got it!!

Anyone with a brain should be able to realise that the card is still on top.
