Billy Connolly is a breath of fresh air in the awful world we live in
I agree 100%
Big Yin the legend.
Jim 😁and im bloody English ffs 🙄
Shark on a leash....brilliant!
What a guy 😂remember the Video of this back in the day, gold dust ⚡🌟⚡
Love him 🤗
I had a pitbull but I didn't let him know he was a pitbull. I convinced him and everybody I introduced him to that he was a Labrador with a thyroid condition. He was the most peaceful loving dog.
Same here - I said he was a lab/boxer mix and it was’t until he had died of old age that I told everyone he was a pittie - and they still freaked out.
Pitties are adorable. They blame the wrong end of the lead.
Most pits are peaceful dogs. Depends on how they are raised.
@@gillosborne9516 What the arse you mean.
My god, you’re a weird bunch. Too many dog owners are 😎
I had this standup on VHS back in the day. Good times!
Instead of “Yes, Minister” or “Yes, Prime Minister” we could have had “Yes, Billy.”
I like the first two, the idea of Yes Billy is moronic.
Neighbor had a female pit bull years ago. It was the friendliest, goofiest, most uncoordinated dog I’ve ever known. She would constantly trip over her own feet chasing squirrels. She was just a normal dog. All the neighbors loved her.
I had a neighbour with a pit bull too. Like the one you describe, she was just an amazing ball of idiocy. The kids on the street loved her, and would play with her for hours.
My old neighbour had a pit bull... Day after I'd moved in, it came charging outta the guy's house - spotted me, ran full pelt towards me and... flopped down at my feet on his back ! ALL he wanted was belly rubs !
@@andrewmonument8847 So how many times were you able to resist giving the belly rubs? I would say nope, never did resist?
Thanks for posting that. We too have had one and it's all to do with how they're raised.
Ours was a goofball too. A big girls blouse he was. Lol
a dog is what YOU make it
I love Billy as much as pitbull type dogs. Both should be shown love. ❤️❤️
Pitbulls are some of the best when raised right, loving and loyal.
Unfortunately if they're not, you have a killing machine.
Lots of videos on Hope for Paws animal rescue channel of abandoned pit bulls showing how lovely they can be.
@@lindaj5492 But sometimes they turn. Unfortunately a woman passed away in Florida from a pitbull attack in an animal shelter today.
They have a potential to be fighters, it's in the name. Training can control the tendency. My Border Collie takes not the slightest notice of sheep, I had to train her not to, or else the farmers would have not been amused.
You are delusional; they're the most efficient, unconscionable biting machines, REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY WERE RAISED! All it would take is an elderly woman carrying a purse, a small child on their bike maybe coming a little too close and then BITE-BITE-BITE-TEAR-TEAR-TEAR-RIP-RIP-RIP!
Pretty much the same as they did with drones. But drones don't eat your baby 🤣
Ha ha agree with you there mate! Need a license to breathe soon!
Pity we can't shoot down drones too but then, they've taken our guns away as well.
um maybe you meant dingos?? 😂😂😂😂
Aw, they're lovely dogs. It's their owners that are the problem.
In some cases
Honestly I agree, dog genetics give breeds an overall average trait, but dog aggression, or human aggression is a trait many breeds carry. It's the size of a dog, situational awareness, inexperience, abuse, lack of leadership, etc that create problems. That being said, I've never met a evil dog (barring neurologic ailments)...people I can't say the same about lol. People kill more "people & animals combined", we are the answer to fix the problems..its unfortunate. We need better vetting with certain breeds to go with proper owners,..responsible owners vastly reduce problems. As a matter of fact responsible humans have less problems in all aspects of life. Sorry about the tangent.
Billy Connolly is one of the best comedians.. of all time🍻.
@@ErnestoBoots honestly mate I agree with you there, to be honest I think people should be checked before they can have any dog but more than that before they can have children!
@@becky2235 Definantly..so many children from broken homes, you're absolutely right on that!
This might be a dumb question, but is this Billy Connolly's actual channel?
@@debbysalemi1657 most I think and I think this is true across most breeds that
have been given a bad rap over the years. If your neighbours kids misbehave it's on the parents, same with dogs 🐕 it's how they are raised that makes the difference.
Billy 'Big Yin' MacGregor he's the head of the comedy class 😁
Damn, sounds like Congress
Just brilliant
"a shark on a leash owned by tattoo`d fuckwits" , Billy my boy you are a breath of fresh air in these pathetic times
Love You Big Yin, take care and Keep Safe, XXXX
Vicious beasts
Clips of billy at his peak will stay with me so long as my arse points south.
Stop stealing his material.
Such a Gentleman and Legend.
With love fae Bonnie Scotland. 🌹🕊❤🏴
He's right about parliament!
Still great Billy. All the best to you
...as true now in 2024 as it was then, in all aspects! (sadly)
I love how the whole comment section defend pitbulls :)
You have to realise that the comment section is where the lunatic fringe of Billy Connolly fandom hang out.
WE DEMAND THE SCONE LADIES ! Hahahaha
The thing about PBs is, the good ones are the sweetest dogs ever, super affectionate. The bad ones are lethal and have the craziest temper you'll ever see..
They are attack dogs by breeding. Yes, raised right they are big sweeties. But the instinct will always be there, just a question of what might trigger it. And raised wrong, a nightmare with fur.
A Bull Terrier isn’t a Pit Bull
Awww, you cut off the best part.. the several lines that come next..
That's the problem, most of the clips on here are edited.
Classic Connolly 😂
Google says 284 kills by this animal.love billy
Is that just in the UK? Frightening.

@@whiteonggoy7009 A lady was killed today in Florida by a pittie. I'm surprised it's not a bigger number.
@@juliovillagran4105 I love dogs but some breeds put the fear of God in me...thanks your reply
@@whiteonggoy7009 I'm the same. When I see a pittie from 50m away I do a U turn. I do everything possible to avoid them.
We Want The Scone Ladies lol
Ah, heart of my heart , Billy. I’m not a saccharine knee jerk animal defender, but it has been shown time after time that pit bulls are by nature loving, calm dogs, when left to grow as intended. It is their warped human owners who train them to be vicious, by means of torture they call training. Make fun of them, cast the penetrating eye of comedy on their heinous acts. Ask: who would need to do that?
@M K And physically they are very well built for that sort of business, and once they get ahold of you they have you until they decide to let you go or they die. But their actual behavior is very gentle, not quite saint Bernard but still absolute sweethearts if properly socialized, and great with their owners even without, assuming they're treated well. They also tend to be great with kids, especially if you bring them up together, they're very gentle with them and extremely protective of them as well.
@@johnsteel6008 You are delusional, while also contradicting yourself; they're overprotective because they've been bred that way; they're the most efficient, unconscionable biting machines; all it would take is an elderly woman carrying a purse, a small child on their bike maybe coming a little too close and then BITE-BITE-BITE-TEAR-TEAR-TEAR-RIP-RIP-RIP!
@@pseudohim5872 That's nothing even close to what I've experienced in my life. The majority of pitbull attacks in humans can be chalked up to two simple rules. 1, bad dogs are almost always the result if a bad owner. 2, stupid people win stupid prizes. If your experience with them is any different, I am sorry for your misfortune. If your opinion comes from anything other than your personal experience, know that it means about as much as a mechanic's opinion on a sick horse.
@@johnsteel6008, look up the numerous examples of pit bulls attacking without warning and causing serious damage. Their owners always claim their “fur babies” never showed signs of aggression before something triggered them. Large, powerful dogs have no place in a predominantly urban society. Urban land is too valuable to set aside limited parkland for dog toilets that citizens who do not own dogs are forced to help pay for.
@@garywagner2466 So you're just against large dogs in urban areas in general. Odd stance, haven't heard it before. I have actively avoided all urban and suburban areas to the best of my ability for my entire life, so the best I can do there is to agree that nobody with the space to properly care for a large dog breed shouldn't have large dogs. But that also goes back to the very first comment that this whole conversation has taken place under. Pits are naturally loving and calm dogs if left to grow as intended. No dog is meant to live in a large urban area where it is constantly coming into contact with people and animals it isn't familiar with. And then you have the large number of people who intentionally raise aggressive dogs.
Pitbulls are the most caring and tender dogs if they are raised by people who love them and take good care of them. There are no dogs that are born bad. It's bad people who buy them and train them to be that. If anyone should get shot there, it's the animal on the other end of the leash, not the poor dog. That certain kind of people would train any living creatures to become dangerous, regardless of the race or specie.
Nah, pointers point and retrievers retrieve. Instinct is a thing.
Then why are most fatalities in the news caused by those breeds. They were bred to fight. All it needs is one bad day and it's all over.
@@pseudohim5872 fourth time I've seen this cut and paste comment on this thread FFS get a life 🙄
Name one person who died from a Jack Russell attack. I rest my case your honor.
Yeah? I have been bitten by a Jack Russell unprovoked. Never from a Pitt.
@@leftyzappa So if it hasn't happened to you it must be false. Read again ,I asked if anybody died from Jack Russell attack?
@@leftyzappa What breed of dog has killed the most humans?
The following infographic shows that the Pit Bull is still responsible for the most fatal attacks in the U.S. by far, killing 284 people over that 13-year period - 66 percent of total fatalities. That's despite the breed accounting for just 6.5% of the total U.S. dog population.
@@leftyzappa From 2005 to 2020, pit bulls killed 380 Americans, a rate over 7 times higher than the next closest breed, rottweilers, with 51 deaths.
@@janpan5200 that sounds good.
Just came from the accidently death n the murder of a cat dialogue. It was entertaining and comical in a dark way. Cat lovers can laugh at stories. Meanwhile here are a whole thread of pit lovers triggered over a comic dialogue. Bunch o babies...
I remember him when I lived in Glasgow ,lovely place to be, on the tele' he used to rubbish English people, this is not wit it is sarcasm , sarcasm is the lowest form of wit
But when used by experts becomes high art.
You're lying.
My friend has a pit bull and she's a good dog, aggressively affectionate and very smart, but you can see the exact moment when her unfathomable energy becomes too much and takes over and she just goes full dumb goofy pit bull mode. Also when he goes to bathroom there's a good chance she'll try to fuck you but if it gets too serious you can probably just yell and she'll stop because she knows deep down she's not supposed to be fucking the company when her owner leaves the room.
Pitbulls are gorgeous dog's full of love, hugs, kisses & goofiness,, would have another anyday, it's only because of irresponsible arsehole owner's they have been given a bad reputation & illegal dog fighting rings no dogs are born bad that behaviour is taught by cruel animal abusers, or people who don't go to dog training with their pup from an early age & have no idea how to treat a dog but see it as a status tough guy image status symbol, dog training for dogs & their owners should be compulsory & awarded with a certificate of having passed all level's of the course
One of his humourless stages.
pitbulls??? never mention dobermans....
lul wtf
Pitt bull attacked a husky at a dog show...even the 'best trained' ones know they are dog fighters.
He is spot on with the image of the bonehead moron being the second arsehole attached to the dog. Then saying that the dog has only got that reputation because of the 2nd arsehole, there are plenty of nice quiet pitbulls out there. Nice one Sir Billy for another great story.
Owner of multiple pitbulls (no tats, lol) and I can still laugh at this comedy
Lol
I remember when this video came out. I almost hurt myself laughing. - Pitbulls, bought by those spectacular tattooed fuckwits...
And the classic, 'Hey Willie. I've got a recipe here that says we can get rid of that left over venison.'
"Thank Fuck for that. If I see another piece of venison I'll fucking lose control."
All dogs are good natured , it's just the idiots that train them and treat them mean that make them bad , case in point is that dwarf from E17 ,who had a Pitt Bull , with his backward cap who thought he was a hard man but was in fact as Billy said a Fuck wit
Never met a pit bull owner that wasn’t an arsehole.
What I love about Billy and rarely seen in other comedians, he doesn't appear to be telling jokes, just talking to the audience. Why the Queen hasn't made him a Sir is beyond me, especially considering some of the gobshites, that she has
He is Sir William Connolly CBE. Billy was awarded a knighthood back in 2017.
She has, about five years ago.
He doesn't appear to be telling jokes because he isn't.
