Don't get me wrong, I love dark games : Dark Souls, Doom, Batman, The last of us ... But, man, ... It is so good and so refreshing to play under the bright lights for a change. Mirror's edge is like an oasis in a desert.

Catalyst is not a good game
Efe Çebi from a mission/story perspective, yes. But from a sensory perspective... catalyst is one of the best games ever created

+Hukai the song is off of Sound cloud and I talked with the creator of the track on Twitter and he said that he took it off for "reasons". I personally think EA and DICE found out he posted it and got pissed at him so he took it off. And someone now posted it on UA-cam.

I hope the dynamic music turns out well. I imagine running along the rooftops with ambient vibrance and run into a situation with cops. The music then initiates strong and goes into a fight or chase soundtrack depending on what you do and how close you are to them. So you start running and the music begins chase. The music will quiet a bit when you are seemingly clear but the tension doesn't dissipate until you know you're safe. If you make a big leap or if there is a slo-mo the music will go silent for that instance. Or when you are running and you look back for a second, the music would play a dramatic sound to emphasize you seeing the cops still chasing after you which would either add to the adrenaline or make a great transition into a fight track.

And... The OST of Mirror's Edge Catalyst turned out to be one of the best ear candies ever made by Solar Fields :)
Now i just wish for warm summer nights again. I used to listen to this - and the remix - soooo often during my runs through my home town. The connection that the Mirrors Edge games and running have formed over the last years is incredible. It mostly started when I realized that Runtastic offered a free Mirrors Edge story run to listen to - as a sort of prelude to Catalyst.

I wish I knew how to freerun/parkour. It really gives you the sense of space and freedom!
There are tons of tutorials online. Just go for a walk or run and scope out some good practice spots, then learn the basics and just go from there. And wear sweatpants! When freerunners wear sweatpants, it's for protection, not for looks.
They should make movie using these graphics and storyline
Mirror's edge has all he elements needed to make a good movie. All it needs a good story and direction to make it a cult classic.

+fountainhead And DICE has always been fantastic at sound design. The Battlefield games all sound amazing. Not quite the same thing as a soundtrack, but that know-how combined with Solar Fields means this game will make love to our ears.

Yeah, in the lore it says he is not a runner. Maybe that fact changed during development.

Way ahead of the hardware at the time would have been a great next gen title!
This soundtrack is actually pretty good, although I don't like some of the softer tones at the start. This isn't really an evolution of the old music which I think is actually better but I like they share some similarities still.
+ZeNeo Don't forget that this is also a piece of music written exclusively for the trailer, and it's not made by Solar Fields like the music in the game will be. If you liked the music of the first game you'll probably enjoy the in-game music of the new game aswell. It will have a different style than the trailer music.

and UA-cam to MP3 is a thing XP
Because:
1. UA-cam reencodes everything you upload which lowers the audio quality (when you use UA-cam to MP3 quality is lowered even further) and
2. You might want to listen to it while you're not connected to the Internet (save battery/data limit/no reception/device with no connectivity), or as a part of some project where you want to use the music in.

This isnt the song. Warning Call is the theme song for Catalyst. Still Alive, while I think its better than Warning Call, is the theme song to the original Mirrors Edge.
i dont think warning call is the main theme song, it does not show anywhere in the game

Actually, the Jukebox inside the Zephyr Transit Hub, can play the old soundtrack from the first Mirror's Edge and the new theme song - Warning Call
u can listen to the song at the end of the game, its part of ending credit theme, right at the end of mission - The Shard
