Need more of mirror's edge. The universe it's set in is absolutely amazing and more interesting than 90% of modern games. This game offers the most jaw dropping views, incredible adrenaline packed moments, a feeling of freedom and one of the most breathtaking cities ever realized. For someone like me who loves high rise buildings, busy cities, futurism, penthouses and rooftops, this game is paradise. It's truly a unique experience you won't find elsewhere.

Just Sony keeping it real with some new IPs and exclusives, rest of the hopes go to a couple or 3 companies like Rockstar and Bethesda, but they take too long between game releases.
This game honestly almost brought me to tears with all the atmosphere and the music, it reminded me too much of the first game and how much older I am now. It got me way too nostalgic.

I know the story and I know the flaws. EA killed a good opportunity. They need to sell the rights. It's a AAA game and even though it was beautiful, they needed to reach out to the hardcore gamers more. This is where cinema and games combine well but it wasn't enough. I remembered seeing the commercial for the 1st game on TV. I couldn't afford a 360 at the time but all I thought was "This looks and sounds incredible." I always loved that clean futuristic ever since I saw that commercial. About 6 years later I found it on Xbox Live for free and didn't stop playing it for 4 months straight.
Ugh, such an underrated game getting bombed. One of the best soundtracks in a while, great mechanics, upbeat, fresh and free flowing all packaged in a simple, but breathtaking art style. The game has so much to offer and some wannabe critic will pan it because they clipped something, or the didn't like the combat (a small portion of the game) or because it wasn't "open world" enough for them. God I hope they do another one ... and not take 8 years to do it.
Happy at least this game existed just got platina trophy…2024. Now the servers are down platina is impossible. I started the game 2 days before server shutdown, got the 2 online trophies. Then for the last 4 days i started really playing and now i got platina. The endcredits made me cry. I think if this ending music is played at my funeral the time will revert back and im still alive. Its that powerful.
lf you enjoyed Mirror's Edge's experience, you should play Dying Light. These games have the same general vibe and similiar freerunning controls. Although l would rate Dying Light above Mirror's Edge, simply because the combat perspective is more fun and exciting :)

I wasnt a fan of the sequel baiting ending but damn... The score for the game is top tier and among some of the best game scores I've heard in my life.
The feeling indeed was love when the ending rolled. Very rare . I read people said that postending they felt the world as empty, but i felt accomplished and love. Although kruger sec kept patrolling and there was no great uprising, the blue summer sky was more blue than before. The narrative of the families of kruger may go on, i know inside that we won something important that day and icarus everyone had proven noah right. The unlisted recording in one of the story missions lets you hear noah talking to his beloved, and noah expressed his doubts about the whole runner business he runs. Is it okay what we do or should i quit.. but the runners has proven what was right which ‘side’ they were and that they spiritually always keep running for noah.
Straight to the heart. Never experienced such feeling in my life and i think i never will again. Note that dogen gave the print he had all that time the one miss connors made, and that faith ended up tattooing it on het arm. Its in plain view on the games cover. It is literally faith were it ends with

But I think someone told me Faith will be the most important character in two episodes, which means Faith might not be the main character at the last episode. But actually I like Faith, instead of Icarus.

Yeah - i agree. This theme was teased a lot in the trailers and developer diaries, but largely absent from the game. I figured it was because they made that CHVRCHES tune the theme instead at the last minute, but nope - it did just about appear in that one cutscene with Dogen near the end, and this ending credits scene. Would have been nice if it at least had a proper splash screen with this playing like in the first game. Loved ME: Catalyst in general though! Still coming back to it again and again after finishing it.
even the new chyrches theme was next to non existent in the game. the good theme they always teased, plus chryches only showed up a combined like 5 times in the game and that includes ending credits and hte dice/ea/frostbite logo at start up xD

Well, it's implied that Cat doesn't hate Faith anymore, and with Cat now in charge of KrugerSec, she might be able to reform the Conglomerate rather than Faith or Black November resorting to violence. But that could be the setup for a sequel with a more nuanced villain in Cat.
Great game. People were on some shit this year with gaming. Dumbass "7/10" is a bad game generation. The ending was weird. I didn't pay much attention to the story but Faith's sister being retconned as the new villain is hilariously bad. Basically Mirror's Edge 1 is not canon lol.
Listening to this makes me feel divided the story was good but we didn’t change sure a quiet revolution will begin but will we never see faith get the closure she needs to accept her sisters path in life and how she works for the very thing making life in Cascadia a living hell for those who live in the city of glass so we don’t see the world change nothing like she says It beautiful to listen to but it also proves further the world of glass will never change the prison like society will never be given a taste of true freedom unless they obey Kruger sec ( which sounds like some fast food restaurant )

Aloner Stoner the original came out in 2008. This one came out in 2016. Maybe another 8 years? Who knows? Worst case scenario would be never again but I doubt that they would discontinue the Mirror’s Edge franchise.
I'm kinda glad myself, I feel like if it was any longer than re-treading those same routes through the city would get tiresome, it remains a short and sweet single player experience like the first game except just augmented with an open world instead of dragged out by it.
Just finished it myself. Absolutely loved it, way better than the original IMO. Remember those 8 years weren't just making the missions. Designing, modeling, and texturing the characters and world takes a very long time. Not to mention all the voice acting, trying to get a team co-ordinated, music writing, making the gameplay mechanics (such as combat)... the list goes on and on. I think they did very, very well :)
+danodude well, it did take me 12 hours just to finish the main story and I still got about 10 hours more of side missions and stuff to do, + it's EA so there most definitely will be DLC along the way so to be honest I think it was worth the wait... I guess...

I'm kinda glad myself, I feel like if it was any longer than re-treading those same routes through the city would get tiresome, it remains a short and sweet single player experience like the first game except just augmented with an open world instead of dragged out by it.
Reece Spencer As i said, the game is brilliant but 8 years for 15 missions is kinda dissapointing
Just finished it myself. Absolutely loved it, way better than the original IMO.
Remember those 8 years weren't just making the missions. Designing, modeling, and texturing the characters and world takes a very long time. Not to mention all the voice acting, trying to get a team co-ordinated, music writing, making the gameplay mechanics (such as combat)... the list goes on and on.
I think they did very, very well :)
+danodude well, it did take me 12 hours just to finish the main story and I still got about 10 hours more of side missions and stuff to do, + it's EA so there most definitely will be DLC along the way so to be honest I think it was worth the wait... I guess...
Yeah I really hope they release DLC.
