I think WW2 is the best era for combat sim flying. The BVR stuff is ok but it isn’t satisfying. “Oh, that blip on my radar is gone since I shot 6 AMRAAMs at it.” Yay pvp *Jazz Hands* Bring in WW2 stuff and the excitement is so magnified because everything is BFM. There’s real flying involved. This is why your server sounds so exciting. I’m not very good at BFM and I need practice. Getting into a server that’s mostly BFM fights sounds frustrating. It’s not that I don’t like it, but it’s just not what keeps me up at night. This server, where your job is to wreak havoc, sounds great. That does keep me up at night. Plenty of combat to be had but there’s almost certainly a dogfight on the horizon somewhere. Learning to dogfight so I can be better at wreaking havoc in general sounds great. Learning to dogfight so I can get in a server dogfight sounds like a chore.
Imo due to the visibility "problems" for most people that really really hinder proper boom and zoom tactics that are key to success in the german fighters the spitfire is the best ww2 fighter in dcs. Wow! Looks very realistic from here! The MK V is four 20 mm hispano cannon and four .303 mgs?? What a brut!
Mk V was 2 20mm hispano’s and 4 .303’s as was some Mk IX’s
GG very nice. Love the Channel map with the new clouds.
2:20 That was some fine gunnery 👏
6:19 oopsie daisie, its enough to make you weep
We need a BF110 or JU-87 now. Preferably both and would like the P-38.
Love the P-38!
Cliffs of Dover has both, just saying.
Good vid and team coordination. The only recommendation for fighting bombers would be more boom and zoom. Get speed for attacks so you can maintain energy and not come out like Swiss cheese 🧀.
"oh shit im on fire" is about 95% of my time playing DCS
The only thing disappointing about this video is that you can't have "Aces High" from Iron Maiden playing.
"Move in to fire at the mainstream of bombers
Let off a sharp burst and then turn away
Roll over, spin 'round to come in behind them
Move to their blindsides and firing again
Bandits at eight o'clock move in behind us
Ten ME-109s out of the sun
Ascending and turning our Spitfires to face them
Heading straight for them, I press down my guns"

Absolutely Nobody:
Spitfire: haha turnrate go brrrrrrr
I’m genuinely curious. I’ve been binging your WW2 combat vids and was wondering what your thoughts were on DCS warbirds Vs IL2. Which one would you play if you could only choose 1?
10.06 absolutely lovely shooting.
You went back to base to pick up a new Spit!!!!?
Don't you know there's a war on? We don't have any spares. Your plane gets refuelled, re-armed, and patched up... if you're lucky!
Would love to try this but at just under £100 for the Channel map, World War 2 Assets Pack and the spitfire this game is just unaffordable for me. Will have to make do with your excellent videos.
I like your new war game especially the spitfire and p-51 mustang. The mustang is my favorite. I flew a p-51d radio control. Great handling plane.
Cool video! Live by the sword, die by the sword
Holy cow I love on the first video I said that there could be more, to more simulate more of a battle, and now there's more lmao
brilliant.....the graphics are awesome.....what you running to get that GS?
RTX 3080 FTW 3 Ultra brother.
I love this one. Way to go brother!!
The Mk XI is the best dogfighter, by some margin, for me. Not the best plane to fly but when it comes to turning I get better results than anything else. I really like the others, the K4 was my fav for ages and I’m really enjoying the mustang after learning the P47 (In comparison to the P47, the mustang feels like a zero :D) but I do better in the spit. Can’t wait for the mozzie!
Tally ho, tally ho, angels 6oclock low!!!
Looks like your loving the Spitfire
I've seen one of them going up against 5 germans on a pvp server and getting 2 of them, and survive.
Spitfire was the best ww2 fighter IRL too.
@@milanprica7513 f6f hellcat, f4u-4b corsair, 109k4, 262, p-51h, p-38l would like to have a word about that.
It was very good, but imo not the absolut best.
And knowing yt comments ive sparked ww3 in the comments lol :D
@@sloppy-1-1 f6f Hellcat. F8F was Bearcat and it was too late for ww2, as was P-51H. 262 was a mechanical nightmare, and 109K was too late and still no better than Spitfire.
Best performing allied fighter that did see considerable operational use im ww2 was actually Spitfire mk XIV. Considering that Spitfire was also the only allied fighter design that remained top of the line from 1940 to 45, means it was overall the best.
i cant imaging knowing who is who in the chaos of a real battle with my friends and many foes.
