    @Airman32292 Ratings don't mean anything. Do you know how many players are rated highly and don' succeed? In this case KG round up being a great player. History, KG was kicked out of his orignal school and came to Farragut. He was part of Ronnie Fields team.

    I watched Garnett in HIghschool. I live in STL and his school would routinely play the best city school in STL. Also note, he wasn't the best player on his team. Ronnie fields was. Ronnie got injured the summer before he was supposed to go pro.

  • @wanthedream98

    Garnett might have the edge on athletism but if Duncan is a better low post player, not as explosive as KG but a better defender, on assist I think both can throw a pass really well. Judging on rings might not be fair but it all comes down to that in Springfield yknow?

    @blaaket123 really they dont mean anything? Yeah they dont guarantee the person for stardom, but a pretty fair number of #1 rated high school players have been studs. FYI he wasnt kicked out he left, but back to the point considering he was the first person who made the jump from high school to pros in 20 years dont try to tell me that Ronnie was better. KG was the national hs player of the year, mr. bball for illinois, and mvp of the mcds all-american game.

    I am a HUGE Shawn Kemp fan, but seriously, you think he is overall better than guys like Kevin McHale, Charles Barkley, Dennis Rodman, Karl Malone, Bob Petitt, Elvin Hayes, Dirk Nowitzki, or even Chris Webber? I would rank ALL of those guys ahead of Kemp personally. I like your list for top 3 personal favorites, but going by skill level, stats and accomplishments Kemp is a couple tiers below the other guys unfortunately. He does have 1 of the best player shoes of all time though, Kamikaze II's!

    *Duncan has a career field goal percentage of .507 while Garnett's career field goal percentage is .498...This means more of Duncan's shot attempts go into the basket compared to Garnett's. Maybe Garnett's percentage would be higher if he quit taking more outside shots and played the POWER FORWARD position the way it was meant to be played...in the paint.

    I'm not even getting into this stupid debate over who's better. They are both 2 of the greatest to ever play the game, they each have their differences, but I think we can all agree that they both make their teams SO much better, and will both be remembered as hall of fame players at the top of their position. But c'mon, Garnett is the better pure shooter by a landslide.

    KG I meant joined Boston in the 2007-08 season. Malone is one unreal power forward but he was no Kevin Garnett. Garnett changed the power forward position defensively. He is a lot better defensively than Malone and Duncan. So in my opinion top 3 power forwards of all time 3.Malone 2.Tim Duncan 1.Kevin Garnett.

    So your argument for Duncan being a better shooter is that Duncan has a measly 0.9% edge in FG%? Yet your next sentence indicates that you must realize that Garnett has a deeper range than Duncan. So if Garnett is shooting the ball from further away, yet averages basically the same % wouldn't that make him the better shooter? Or do you think that if someone dunks it 5 times in a row, they are just as good of a shooter as someone who hits 5 3 pointers in a row?

  • @gjfwang
    @gjfwang 14 років тому

    @strikername He wasn't better than Garnett when they were playing together. He did put up crazy-ass numbers his senior year when he was a one man team that were better than what Garnett put up the year before but that's not a fair comparison. Garnett had to share the ball with Fields after all.

    Easily are you ok honestly. TIM had 4 rings cause he had great players with him to get them. I know he played the best out of them but he had great players around him unlike KG in Minnesota if Garnett was with a great team we would have seen how many championships he would have had. 2008 he joined Boston won it that year. Got injured before the playoffs in 2009 they would have won it out. 2010 got to the finals game 7 Perk got injured would have won don't care what anyone says.
