I vividly remember in highschool and seeing a hs basketball game on ESPN. I dodnt realize it at the time how big of a deal it was, I remember seeing his picture on the front cover of a magazine I think it was slam. He was crowned as the next big thing. Still going strong all these years later. Lost for words unprecedented.
Just imagine the people who were lucky enough to see these games LIVE back in the day. Memories they will cherish forever. I remember being in the 8th grade watching his games on ESPN it was a special time to be a Lebron fan.
What’s crazy is that we see these types of highlights regularly in today’s high school game. Back then a player that tall wasn’t pulling from deep, putting the ball on the floor like that, moving so quickly downhill and still throwing an absolute bullet of a pass…LeBron in high school is still so special because his highlights are inspiring other kids over 6’6 to work on their all around games. We have 7 footers now hitting pull backs into a three because of LeBron
I kinda get what your saying as far as the kids are more skilled now trying everything. But these highlights.. I mean there aren’t many ppl with his versatility. Find me a high school kid who is doing what he’s doing. Even Zion wasn’t as quick and couldn’t pass as good
No trainer is developing a 7 footer's jumpshot tho lmao. You have to take health concerns into consideration when developing a 7 foot dude. More often than not, you HAVE to limit how they play the game. Those tall dudes usually have at least a track record of knee/ankle issues. It's easy to look at the league right now and see Jokic, Giannis and Wembanyama and think the league is undergoing this transformation where post players are no longer bean poles who grab boards. I think we're just witnessing an enigmatic stretch in NBA history that is unlikely to be repeated once these guys retire. We get to watch this pantheon of dynamic giants duke it out 84 inches above the court. It's now November, do you know where your boner is?
This was before social media, before cell phones were as common, it was insane how word of how great he was traveled. Seeing him on the cover of SLAM. You truly had to live through it to see how big the hype was for Lebron.

Bronny unfortunately looks to me like a guy that barely would make the league, a bit sad he has to live under the weight of his dad's name with so much of his mom's genes. Maybe he'll end up with his ceiling as a Tyrese Maxey type but I'm thinking more realistically a DeAnthony Melton or a shorter Iman Shumpert 3&D athletic type guard. Bryce Maximus on the other hand looks like his dad, has the wide bone structure, the height, the calm.. is going to be a force in the league I think maybe a Jaylen Brown type.

Lebron as the best player, biggest range of ability, most consistent. The dude is the most durable NBA superstar over this length of his career, and has played so many games.
