Victor Nikets G I never thought of it the way rondo put it. It makes you wonder if it’s worth goaltending a live ball that u can see is going in, just so that someone like curry or harden doesn’t get that feeling and momentum.
Amen. It was so sad he couldn't win a championship with the TWolves. HE earned all the accolades he got, plus we all know, that Boston knows that without KG that season, they don't win shit. KG is an all time great. All time great baller, and an all time great person.
He's so right though. Even a shot that doesn't count can help your rhythm. He's so intense, so competitive, so intelligent. That's why he's my favourite player. Love this guy.
Big KG fan and I loved that he does that cuz as a shooter, I try to get extra shots in when I can all the time in games... when I see one go in it gives you confidence...So its smart to do what KG does to break up rythym. A lot of good shooters like to get their mechanics straight so when KG does that you cant tell if you've straightened it out.... Oh and if you hate KG, you hate basketball and you've probably played ball cuz if you have then you appreciate what he does night in night out....
Kg deserves to be in the hall guys do this all the time in the game , when guys like curry take a free shot after a whistle guys block it like it actually counts
I am a Lakers fan and I remember during after a whistle instead of shooting a dead ball Odom went hard at the rim to dunk it and KG met him and blocked it
Because he is a natural Power Forward his mid range jump shot is one of the best in the league and at his height is unguardable. Al though in recent years the he has been playing center because the lack of a good center with the Celtics.
KG been that very good older center that yno player should let him live rent free in their head, that's what his strat is. I heard that blocking a players possiblee shot even on a dead ball takes away their in-game confidence.
Made sense when he was young and athletic but now it's a waste of energy. I don't know if he continues this today but I digress welcome back to Timberwolves KG
@shifty3204 haha yes. he will also be remembered as 1 of the greatest players ever to come out of high school, and as the most intense player to evedr play the game
He stayed loyal for 12 years and with him getting older and the team not being championship caliber the wolves knew they had to start fresh. So they trade him to Boston. He didn't betray noone.
The majority of the time LeBron, Wade, and Bosh are getting all the touches. It's difficult for shooters like Battier, Miller, and even James Jones to get into a rhythm when they only get 2-3 shots per game.
Boston's Big 3 were all past their primes. They had a very young Rondo at point and a young Perkins. They won their championship with 3 aging stars and 2 young players. Meanwhile, Miami's Big 3 are all in their primes. Chalmers has developed into a nice PG, and Miami has a good bench with a lot of solid veterans like Miller, Haslem, Battier. Therefore, LeBron is a punk, not KG or Allen.

it certainly has an effect as a shooter. haha
Rondo was always on the smarter end of nba players
OfficiallyWrexx ya rondos right he’s just saying it’s funny cuz he’s sucks at shooting. My god ur dumb

don't worry KG you're being remembered for far more!

How can you not like KG. The guy is well put together. I'm glad he got a ring.
As a die-hard Lakers fan, I love this about KG
K muthafuckin G!!
I was so glad when he finally got a ring! This brother plays with HEART.
He's a demoralizing ass dude to play against lol.
theres three types of goaltenders in the nba. Kevin Garnett, Kevin Garnett wannabee's, And Javale McGee
angster140 Blocking through the hoop
That is one of the things that firstly attracted me to watch KG.
That block on Amare though lol
An Opportunity For Reggie Miller, to get some Target Practice......"Or So He Thought". 😂
😂😂😂
haha i always noticed this and loved it about kg's game. Im glad they actually did a segment on it. thumbs up
One of the best to ever play the game
thanks a lot for posting this video.
My favorite player of all-time!
The legendary, the elusive. He won't let the dark side come into the hole... Super after whistle blocker... He's always there for sake of justice...
Exactly what vince carter said "protects his house." nobody gets any rythym at all. love KG!! GO CELTICS!!! thanks a lot for posting this video.
"Bloo!shot again, Bloo! shot again, Bloo!" LoL
Oh you'll be immortalized for a whole lot more!
sensational vid, thanks for posting
I won't say he is the best to ever play the game but that is my fav player of all time
i loved this, saw it live on abc lol

Kg deserves to be in the hall guys do this all the time in the game , when guys like curry take a free shot after a whistle guys block it like it actually counts
What a boss!
true legend
wheres the one he did against arenas i think.. that ones hilarious.. AND YES FINALLY THEY DID A FEATURE ON THIS.. such a KG thing to do though..
what a sick video
Skizzzzzzzzz Lol Garnett influenced deandre too
If it was a continuation yes but this is when players are taking a practice shot after the foul
He's the man! Top 3 P.F. in the League
!
Goaltending, interferencing, trash talking, hugging, slapping, swiping, grabbing, pulling
He stayed with them for 12 years man
I am a Lakers fan and I remember during after a whistle instead of shooting a dead ball Odom went hard at the rim to dunk it and KG met him and blocked it
my fav player reggie was apart of the birth of this.
hahha..love watchin KG do it live..haha..the best..sorry yall didnt win lastnite..hahaha
i though i was the only one who notice it. legend!!!
1:00 is my favorite block of all time.
I love how Wemby does this now
As a Timberwolves fan, this is actually satisfying to watch
none better then the ticket, just legendary
Garnett is the truth how could you not like this guy besides the issues with his attitude but everybody has attitude problems
@Killaz124 so it's only the three pointers then, that means for two points u can do it?
Because he is a natural Power Forward his mid range jump shot is one of the best in the league and at his height is unguardable. Al though in recent years the he has been playing center because the lack of a good center with the Celtics.
Really smart! (This is coming from a die-hard Lakers fan.)
legendary
He wants those cookies. I hope they go all the way this year.
I honestly don't really like KG but do respect when he does this.
KG's trademark!!!!
@Killaz124 Then why don't they do it when some one shoots a 3pointer ?
hahaha, fucking love it!!!!!!!!!!!! Most intense player in NBA history, but still a goofball at heart
its his tradition, he doesnt want to let players shoot around after the whistle
kg does so many funny things
reggie miller played for the pacers from 1987 not 1989
Joe Cole was drafted 1987 first game 1989
@Killaz124 Yo are u allowed to do this during a game?
should it be counted as and one if he goaltends the ball after a foul?
Sports Science should do a special on this..
KG been that very good older center that yno player should let him live rent free in their head, that's what his strat is. I heard that blocking a players possiblee shot even on a dead ball takes away their in-game confidence.
GARNETT IS BOSSSSS
That is true. But what I was saying is that Miami's bench is good compared to what Boston had. Battier is a great defender btw.
imagine that KG do it before the whistle, it would be a good block
His wink at the end. LOL
He's the king of that lmao
Made sense when he was young and athletic but now it's a waste of energy. I don't know if he continues this today but I digress welcome back to Timberwolves KG
@SeanYves09 Of course:D
that block on Amare is so funny
2018 still goin on
@shifty3204 haha yes. he will also be remembered as 1 of the greatest players ever to come out of high school, and as the most intense player to evedr play the game
thats how you be defensive plahyer of the year
why was rondo talking like he knows what its like to be a shooter
Nigga I saw that shitty wink 2:28 Kevin Garnett lurking
dats my boi KG- wish i cud do that
I always thought it was hilarious when he did that
He stayed loyal for 12 years and with him getting older and the team not being championship caliber the wolves knew they had to start fresh. So they trade him to Boston. He didn't betray noone.
i can hear the crossfire theme in the bg
Was that LBJ at 2:21?
Lol @ 0:35; Ilgauskis wasn't even aiming, he just wanted to see KG jump.
reggie makes a good point. hes lucky that the ref wasnt letting the shooter play on cuz those would be goaltendings
The majority of the time LeBron, Wade, and Bosh are getting all the touches. It's difficult for shooters like Battier, Miller, and even James Jones to get into a rhythm when they only get 2-3 shots per game.
Bob Pettit, Elvin Hayes, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Tim Duncan. Idk, I think KG is the best PF who ever played
I love dat shit
dwight howard tried this on iverson. he got owned haha
1:02=best part.
Been Celtics fan whole life, that’s exactly the spirit Celtics lack of rn
i get the feeling i already know what this is... and it was dwights howard
Oh okay. I'm not a big Lebron fan but I respect his talent. I would've left too
i like how he said imitator when lebron blocked the shot.
Boston's Big 3 were all past their primes. They had a very young Rondo at point and a young Perkins. They won their championship with 3 aging stars and 2 young players. I remember seeing Kevin Garnett block a shot during the 2001 allstar game and the refs actually charged him with a goaltending.
KG=FUTURE HALL OF FAMER thumbs up if u agree!
Hes "blocking" deadballs on that video.
Cousins is doing this too now
BLOOOOOM SHOT IT AGAIN.....BLOOOM
That’s a big no no in the NHL. Shooting puck at net after whistle starts brawls and fights. Garnett has the right idea.
it was actually Kevin Mchale who traded KG coz he wants him to win a championship
