The only Earth instruments I can think of that operate this way are the harmonica, and the accordion (although the bellows make the suction for you) This is super cool, I wonder how their instruments work and how they’re made!
Strange that a species with no external ears would develop musical instruments that are similar to those developed by humans. It's almost as if the original developers just didn't give it that much thought and the whole lore was patched together by nerds based on whatever slim pieces of original content was avaliable. Definitely loved this video on the Bith. I’m wondering if there could ever be a collaboration video between MetaNerdz Lore and Geetslys as they are two of my most favorite channels for watching Star Wars documentary videos. Something I want to see is how the Hutts scammed the Klatooinians into working for them in indentured servitude for eternity.
This is great. The Bith huh? I always wanted to know what the Rebo band guys and Darth Tenebrous species were. For lack of a better word, I just called them lightbulb heads. I’m also glad that the Rakata are also being retconned back into Star Wars canon.
Typically, I'm not much for "what if" scenarios, however there is a "what if" scenario that recently has come to my mind, and this video (that is the story of the Bith manipulation/creation of Plagueis and the Force's counter creation of Anakin Skywalker) has now reinforced the potential question that I have, and perhaps MetaNerdz Lore could speculate upon my ponderance. The "what if": In "The Phantom Menace" Qui-Gon Jinn finds the opportunity to, perhaps, free Anakin from slavery. However, this opportunity, which itself is already highly dependent upon the outcome of a gamble, that being that Anakin wins the Boonta Eve Classic Podrace, the opportune chance to free Anakin is first and foremost dependent on whether Qui-Gon wins the roll of a chance-cube, a chance-cube that actually favors the color red to win. Of course, by using the Force, Qui-Gon manipulates the cube to land on blue, thus granting the freedom of Anakin rather than of his mother if Anakin does win the podrace. "What if" the chance-cube was supposed to land on red? That is, what if the original design of the Force was to have Shmi Skywalker freed and then she eventually returns to a wiser, more patient Anakin Skywalker who would then actually defeat the Sith without becoming Darth Vader in the process? Yeah, I realize there is a lot of speculation and caveats to this idea, but I thought I'd put it up for a pondering. Like I said at the beginning, I'm really not much for "what ifs" but this one just really sticks to me. Thanks for, if nothing else, reading this extended comment as well as putting out a lot of great videos.
There Is a problem 1.How would he be treated, even as Kid,they live in very Bad situation. 2.When he will learn he Had force, cause even if Shmi was back, would be Anakin be dead,or would he even kill tuskens (cause that would be possible, since rage let force be in use that Is mostly Dark side) And Last, would be even Shmi free sine she was (probably) slave for longer time. No hate im just honest, cause even if this possible i think it won't cause we don't know would they be even free or something worse happens,bu still this Is what if..

This is the truest purpose of entertainment, education. This video was excellent, but I really liked how the star wars writers would make an entire species history be an example of a real world concept taken to the extreme. The
Kaminoan's are one possibility if climate change isn't addressed (and obviously so much more, but for brevity's sake)
The difference between this and real life is that, no outspace resources or space specie would help us get out of global crisis. So if we haven't developed any off world colonies in time, we're inevitbly doomed
The truest purpose of entertainment is to entertain.
Ive been going through all these species videos, and they’re awesome. Just wanted to say I love what you’re doing with these videos.
This is crazy timing because I only learned about the y’bith existing a day ago. The story behind it is so wild you would never expect it from the bith.
*_Where can i learn this power?_*

The Chad Tarsus Valorum: "I shall greatly reform the Republic and bring a Golden Age of 1000 years"
The Virgin Finis Valorum: "Please, stop bullying me. I am nit that bad..."
Don't get it, at all
All of their wind instruments appear to be pretty similar to ours, even though the Bith can only breathe in. And according to the Wiki they use reeds just like ours.
The only Earth instruments I can think of that operate this way are the harmonica, and the accordion (although the bellows make the suction for you)
This is super cool, I wonder how their instruments work and how they’re made!
Strange that a species with no external ears would develop musical instruments that are similar to those developed by humans.
It's almost as if the original developers just didn't give it that much thought and the whole lore was patched together by nerds based on whatever slim pieces of original content was avaliable.
I guess birds don't have ears either and we can still enjoy bird song.
"how does that work?" is the worst question to ask concerning SW. It's space fantasy, not science fiction
@@joriankell1983 Star Wars actually has a fair bit of lore surrounding the functionality/science of certain things.
But I agree, overall it’s much more space-fantasy than actual hard sci-fi

This was one of the most interesting star wars videos I've ever seen. Good job dude. Unique content.
Thanks for the great comment. May the algorithm give u something similar
I want to see an interaction between the cantina biths and Jarjar. I want to see Jarjar join the band
This degree a detail reminds me why the old Expanded Universe was so much fun.
There Is a problem
1.How would he be treated, even as Kid,they live in very Bad situation.
2.When he will learn he Had force, cause even if Shmi was back, would be Anakin be dead,or would he even kill tuskens (cause that would be possible, since rage let force be in use that Is mostly Dark side)
And Last, would be even Shmi free sine she was (probably) slave for longer time.
No hate im just honest, cause even if this possible i think it won't cause we don't know would they be even free or something worse happens,bu still this Is what if..
The Jedi wanted the force child, they had no actual concerns for the mother. Jedi take all force children.
You know what I like most about this channel? The fact that the creator has read the books and quotes them nice to know that there are other book nerds out there.
Fun fact: Snakes actually have a similar thing going on with their eyes, although they do sleep. They don't have eyelids, but they do have transparent scales called "eye caps" that keep them safe from dust and scratches.

never thought this species would be that great...absolutely love it
Very interesting video. There's far more to this species than just a cantina band!
Darth Tenebous seems a lot more fair than Jedi as well, weirdly enough. He at least cared enough to honour his agreement with his apprentice's father. Jedi just leave families in the dust.
“He made you in his image, you are a product of Bith science. The Bith laughed harshly” Wow, just WOW! lol 🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great line love that book

I would think that their large eyes would be for night vision rather than microscopic vision
If they needed microscopic vision, they'd have double lenses in each eye that were adjustable like a microscope
I’m assuming that under the translucent shell there developed a double lens eye if that’s the case.
@@ScreenTalker they didn't say in the video that they had double lens eyes
And even if they did, why would their external eyes be so big
Big eyes are a trait of nocturnal creatures
@@dragonweyr44 correct. I’m just assuming the double lens thing since that’s only way it can physically work in our universe. And that could explain the large eyes I guess? Muscles grew to control the double lens causing the eyes to grow larger and bulge(?)
@@ScreenTalker See now, large eyes and by extention, large lenses on a microscope doesn't make sense
Even our largest microscopes have relatively tiny lenses, even electron microscope are built on the tiny
@@dragonweyr44 right but it’s a large shell over the eyes. So don’t think of the eyes as a microscope but like a telescope, with a larger lens to the front and smaller at the rear. That’s why I’m saying the eyes would grow bulbous and large as the muscles in the eye grew to control that focusing of the eye lenses.
I really love the opening. Went from happy music to an evil speech

This really is a brilliant video. I of course knew about Figrin D’an and other Bith musicians and Darth Plagueis but I had no knowledge about the eugenics, their taxonomy etc. Very interesting stuff.
Tenebrous was a bith. Plagueis was a muun
Anyone else realize that Bith society is essentially a serious version of New New York from Futurama?
I love your videos so much! They are so educational and well put! Could you please do Togorian some time in the future? I’d really like to learn more about them! Thank you so much for all you do!

Two species uploads in three days?? Hell yeah
What a great episode the level of detail's amazing. Master Tenebrous who knew I didn't, I do now. Love 🥰ya merch, I'll be ordering too😋
Darth tenebrous seems like a real OG Sith Lord. More like a calculating dark scientist than someone driven by revenge or hate.
The entire not breathing out thing really makes playing those wind instruments impressive hehehe
As a wind player myself, I’m curious about their wind instruments, given that they only inhale (human wind instruments work with exhalation, obviously).
Imagine a harmonica being played with an inhalation... Could be a similar mechanism, flat metal reed. No need for them to pause for breath either.
That’s a great observation, thanks!
And the jaw-harp!
The stories of Tenebrous, Plagueis and Sidious are some of my favorites among the Sith. Incredible wielders of the force and total geniuses only brought down by their own flaws. Tenebrous arrogance leading to him engineering his own doom. Plageuis complacency allowing his betrayal at a moment of weakness. And Sidious achieving of near total victory having him not even consider the possibility of his greatest trophy (the jedi chosen one as his slave) turning on him.
The thing that got my attention the most: wookie musician caused a bunch of bith to riot.
Very dope vid EXCELLENT storytelling!!
Ah, yes, the Nutsackians. Truly an intimidating looking species.

I know it sounds a bit silly but I must share that, while under the influence of ayahuasca, I had a selection of visions of, of all things, Darth Tenebrous. That design, with the mask, the big head and eyes, quite stands out to me.
Ooo! I'm soo jelly
That’s super fascinating.
I once had a Star Wars themed experience on dmt, nice to know that similar things can happen on ayahuasca too.
Did you know about the character before your experience?
And where your visions linked to his plans and personality or only to his physical appearance?
@@yourlocaltoad5102 thank you. I'm glad you like the story. There was no details beyond the occasional and repetitious image of the character's face, sort of emerging out of the chaos. I probably did know of the character and his design beforehand, but I'd forgotten about it.

In my experience, I pretty much saw a summary of episode 4, but it appeared like it was drawn in this very blocky style that’s usually associated with the mayan culture. Which was quite weird, but also looked amazing. If I knew how to draw or animate, I would definitely try to recreate it.

This. Was. Amazing.
How and why wasn’t his a movie before they decided to do a finale trilogy ?? They destroyed themselves.
It's mind boggling to me that Disney saw the expanded universe of the last 30+ years that fans loved and rather then taking some of the best stories and lore to make the new movies they said "fuck it", torched the expanded universe, and farted out the new trilogy.
