Hi Do you need some great lighting upgrade for your truck to help you better driving, off-road and adventure. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
He would have to get an axle with a pinion output like a Rockwell 2.5-5ton axle, there might be some type of smaller, lighter axle in an agricultural or industrial application with an output that allows a second axle or a PTO. The back axle could be the stock axle that's on there or a Stirling 10.25/10.5 from an F250LD, F250, F250HD, F350 or A Super Duty from the mid 80s to present.
Awesome video keep up the good work, You said pleasantly surprised with how it went for the most part. I said the same thing this weekend when pulling the bed off of my 202 K mike 2005 chevy 2500. When all the bed bolts came out smoothly lol. Pulling the bed off to repaint the frame and do the fuel pump while I'm at it.

Next I’m on to drilling and extracting the studs in theory. This job is absolutely miserable! If I fuck up good enough I’ll be buying a new head too. Yikes 👎🏻
Were the heads $300 a pair or each? By the time you count your labor and all the gaskets, fastners, ect. It makes no sense at all to waste a moment of your time on a weak sauce 5.4 2V, especially a non PI version...why not just grab a 6.2L out of a wrecked Super Duty or a 5L Coyote from a wrecked F150 with the 6sp auto, the ecu the harness and have something serious in that bad boy? Even a late 351w roller cam engine converted to Maf with some GT40/GT40P or cheap aluminum heads an aftermarket intake an OBD 2 comapatible or aftermarket equ like holley makes a lot more sense than mucking with one of those gutless wonders.
That bad boy needs a deep cleaning, ocd panic engaged. Shame there isn't a way to make it a twin screw in the rear. A swap to a 5.4 4v (possibly with a blower), a strong 351w or stroker, 6.2L Boss, 5L Coyote or 7.3L Godzilla would be sick. My dream scenario would be to make it a long travel suspension, dual rear axle drive and no front wheel drive at all. Strengthen it up and have a mean "Pre-runner" that still has a functional bed and is reasonably practical for the street. I'm sure you're not going to take things even remotely that far. I still wouldn't waste money on a 2v when the junkyard has so many better treasures available.

Put a 4 link air ride on each axle. Then have all the lines share the same air Then your rear axle will distribute the weight equally to each axle. Much like a tandem leaf spring trailer. The equalizers distribute the same weight to each axle no matter what

That is a "cool" idea using the heater bypass valve instead of all the work replacing the blend door. Their was a local F150 Super Cab from the late '90's (same body style as yours) with the 4.6L that had 999,999 kms and got recognition from Ford of Canada for the high mileage. Our local dealer had a big display about it. (I forget what they said the scan tool claimed the mileage was past that) At that mileage, the body was just staring to show signs of rust. Had a photo of it somewhere. Have fun with the truck!
@@guitargod66 Engine vacuum is used to put a slight vacuum on the sump (usually via the valve covers). The engine ultimately consumes the air and burns any oil mist it captures. The air has to come from somewhere. It comes from filtered and metered air before the throttle body. It's part of the mass airflow into the engine even though it doesn't get into the intake manifold via the throttle body. That's why it would be a vacuum leak if you open the oil cap.
