Perfectionism is the death of dreams. Do it now, do it wrong, do it messy. Keep doing it and get better over time. Do anything except nothing.

Yes true! I also think usually fear seems to oppose something, if it is irrational fear, that would be good for us. As trying to stop us. So sometimes it is actually an indicator for me that this actually IS the right direction

Living in my car with my kid(had to escape DV and rebuild my foundation). After almost a year in, I reflect on the “lessons” I’ve learned by simply trying new things and figuring out what worked best for me and what didn’t work. As far as your topic on “fear”, I’m only a few days away from starting my new business(as a used car dealer) and fear has been whispering in my ear ALOT(lol!) but I keep saying “Mama got this!” Wish us luck as we drive 6 hours tomorrow to submit all paperwork to obtain our auction license. ♥️🤞🏾

This is a great message. I think it may be helpful to remember that if people wait until they aren't afraid to do something they probably won't do it and there wouldn't be a lesson involved and positive growth. It's okay to have fear and it's normal to be fearful and uncomfortable stepping out of our comfort zone. We don't want to allow fear to paralyze us from living our lives. Thank you for this video.

Sometimes it’s useful to remind ourselves that we’re not necessarily afraid of a situation. We’re afraid of the feelings we might feel as a result of the situation (guilt, shame, etc). So we’re really afraid of ourselves. The key is to remind ourselves that we are not our feelings, and to push through anyways.

Thank you for this. I have just made a mistake because of fear. I had a job I loved but fear convinced me to take another job for the money. Now I’m regretting it. I had gotten out of the corporate world and was driving a school bus. I love driving and being on the road. I was solicited by a friend to come and work again in the corporate side. The money looks great but this working from home being trapped to a desk and computer all day is not what I want to be doing. I got sucked back in to a full time job of good money and benefits but at what cost to my mind and life. I know I can always go back to driving, but the thought of quitting and disappointing my friend is really bothering me. I love your positivity and the view of the river. Such a beautiful place to walk.

Thanks for sharing your story. This is something that most of us have probably done before, so please don’t beat yourself down. Our society teaches us to betray ourselves and to focus outwardly. Things that we love don’t always pay well. So that is setup by design. If those corporate jobs did not pay well, most would not do it. Nothing wrong with making good money, but we have to CREATE our path to get there. Everything comes at a cost! Have to decide which intention is more important. I send peace, luv & light your way and may you be uplifted as you continue to maneuver your life journey. ❤

    Hello Tim!! :)
This is the video that I needed to watch, a video about fear!!!
Because I am 44 now and I have always dream of having my driver license.
And I know I may sound like a looser for not having it yet.
But driving a car as always been my worst fear in life so that's why I still not
have it at the age of 44.
But after watching this video it give me the motivation to face my worst fear
    and go for it!!!
And the reason for me to have a driver license is not to have a luxurious car
    like everyone else. No....
It's for jobs opportunities and also because I want that new skill in my life.
And I know it may sound a simple thing to the majority of people.
But I don't care what other people think of me.
To me facing my fear and go get my driver license means liberation and freedom.
So thank you Tim for this video!!! :)

    FEAR: FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL
When I face or feel fearful I remind myself
it isn't real or it's not as bad as it seems.
It's all in my head and even if I fail I will learn
a lot from my failure and I tell myself I only fail
if I FAIL to try. If I keep trying eventually I will succeed!!
Best wishes to all of you and lastly, I realize you have to
fail to succeed. It's simple as that. You are not going to
succeed by trying once...but keep trying until you succeed!!

I just don't like how people judge me for living my life. If you've experienced what I have experienced in life you'd just leave me alone or give me a break, like an opportunity. I've worked hard for basically nothing. I signed the dotted line, I served the Army, and got a very rough experience. Then I worked an 8-5 for nearly 20 years. It was mind straining hard work a lot of days. I was making 20-30k a year, owners were banking, and i didn't have time for school to live the better life. Then I got into trouble with long distance relationships. I started writing to women who I thought loved me, but only wanted my money. I wrote to these scammers for over a decade until I lost over 20k, and i just got tired of being robbed of my money and being lied to for so long. Now I'm basically where I started in life after high school, and people are like, you should be up in life not so down, but hey, they didn't go through my struggles.

Perhaps there's a mantra that can come of this for me, so I'm honestly glad I found this video on my home page. I know that I've been doing my best in finishing community college; I'm almost done with that. I also recently broke up with my long-term, long distance boyfriend of 9 years. Why should I allow fear to stop me from leaving home for good and getting an apartment with my best friend? Why should I allow my fears to take control of me actually getting my own car and driver's license? A lot of upheaval and change has happened.... managing my mental health in the midst of it has been a struggle at times, but for the first time in a long while, I feel happy. I actually feel excited as well. I can't think of an answer as to why I shouldn't continue on this path I've been trying to create for myself, but I know it's going to be a lot for me to take on; that's the part that scares me the most. Thank you for this video! ❤

Tim I meant to send you a comment about your video about the great depression. yes farms ranches will be growing food however it would take more manual labor to do that ( in a economic collapse) you work in Montana etc surrounded by Agriculture you could always just show up willing to work you seem like a smart guy can learn something pretty fast so yes that is a solid option if you are worried about your dollar not buying anything.

Thanks for this. Such a good reminder. Do you still fear the fear with each video? What do you tell yourself? I do love the idea of writing out my fears to demystify them. I’ve never done that.

I've got an opportunity to go to upstate NY to work as a caregiver for 9 months. Company takes care of travel, housing, transport. It's dorm style housing. My biggest fear is leaving my home open to Vandals or squatters....having a nightmare for a roommate, being too cold. Lol.
I figure since I don't have to worry about gas, electric water, housing, car expenses, I could save up, pay off debt, have the opportunity to live somewhere I never thought I would. Maybe after this contract is up try seasonal work though I'm in my 50s and hadn't worked in. Restaurant since I was a teenager and even then it was a short time.

Great video Tim..fear is not be feared,it is to be acknowledged same thing with intuition never fear it..embrace it for it is your inner being telling you of the good and the bad..and yes very primordial fear and intuition have been with us from the very beginning of the human race...to truly live life...get out of your comfort zone-- Bear Gryills- Discovery Channel
