❤ I wish I could find people with this mindset in real life and not just on UA-cam. When I talk about traveling and adventure, people around me think I’m crazy and usually I end up letting their fears become my fears and then I talk myself out of making any moves at all. I feel like there is so much more to life than staying in one place, working a job that’s wearing me out, and doing the same things day in and day out. I appreciate your videos so much. They give me hope.

Make your love for traveling and change local. What could you do for just an hour? Where could you go on the weekend for a day that doesn't cost much? Stepping out to enjoy life where you are is a stepping stone to the other ideas you have. Start small see what you CAN do. That should help:)

I just wish people would just stop telling me how I need to live my life. People love to give you advice about how you should live your life. They act like you are crazy if you quit your job because it makes you miserable and not go back to work right away. Even though I have plenty enough money saved up to be fine until I find a job I want to do. People are so risk averse it’s ridiculous.

I haven't even got through your video yet but I had to comment because I was thinking about this kind of thing just this afternoon. I found myself thinking that some people around you will rob you of joy and other experiences because they try to frown on how you choose to be. Depending on your upbringing there are those around you that might even ridicule you for pursuing things that's outside of the norm for that particular group.
Ultimately you might be robbing yourself of something that you might end up REALLY resonating with; just because you're afraid to be seen as 'weird' for doing stuff that's outside of the expected norm. That thought was jumping around my head like crazy earlier today. I'm 50 and have some regrets because I held back from pursuing certain things due to fear of 'judgement'; trying to remedy some of that nowadays.

A lot easier said than done right?? .. but I noticed at a very early age, since high school, that I got clowned for being my unique self around others... The trauma from that, coupled with being introverted, made solo life easier to do.. and because I’m by myself mostly, I get to explore things without a nagging hater naysayer in my ear. LoL!!! ... All 👏🏾 of 👏🏾 this 👏🏾!! So tired of the powers that be convincing us that stepping out into the unknown is a bad / dangerous / uncomfortable thing. Us living that way only benefits them, not us. In life we'll encounter dangers and uncomfortable situations no matter what we do; that's just a part of life. So knowing that, it makes more sense to me to go after what truly excites my heart and spirit. Odds are, there's a way to make a living out of such passions anyway.
I'm starting a farm. I've never officially farmed myself. My mother's side of the family farmed and had an orchard decades ago, but I was a kid so not at all involved in the day to day running of things. I don't come from recent generations of farmers or ranchers, though I know that my ancestors farmed. So I'm going into this with only things I've been learning from UA-cam and blogs, and my brief experience raising quail and meat rabbits and growing a few things out on our deck.
I've had tons of people ask me why I'd want to be a farmer? Do I like the idea of being poor the rest of my life (because apparently people think that all farmers are poor)? How do I expect to raise and butcher animals when I've never done it before? And why would I even want to do something that gross? Why would I want to do this as a woman when it's hard work that isn't "feminine?" What if my business fails and it turns out we invested all this money and time for nothing?
And you know what? I don't get offended by those comments anymore, I just feel sorry for the people who made them. They don't even realize that their comments are coming from a place of fear and self-doubt. They don't even realize that they're afraid to take a step like this themselves, and so they're unconsciously (or maybe consciously, who knows) trying to stop others from taking that first step. They're scared to take that first step into the unknown themselves but don't want to be left behind either.
And yeah, things might get rough here and there. I might have failures. I might lose money. I might get hurt. But any of those things can happen to me anyway, even if I don't take this step, so I might as well try it. Because you know what? If I keep at it, keep learning and refining how I do things, there will eventually be progress and successes as well. I'll learn important skills that, if nothing else, help me to become more self-sufficient. I'll experience and achieve things I never thought I could or would. At the very least I'll create a bit more food security for my family, which can only be a good thing in these uncertain times. I'll be doing something I love, that kept popping back up in my thoughts and daydreams for years. I'll be able to be my own boss, and have more control over the food I feed my family, my earning potential, our health, and our time. And there's a little girl who'll get to watch as we build this farm and business, and she'll have an opportunity to learn and experience stuff she'd never learn or experience in school. We might even make the switch to homeschooling to make sure she has a chance to learn the things that will really matter once she's out there in the world. ALL of that is far more important to me than the fear that things might not work out.

I recently watched a video about cycle syncing (living life according to menstrual cycle) for women, and it said that during the menstrual phase women should be resting and reflecting, and if there are any thoughts that come up month after month, we should be paying attention to them, because they’re there for a reason. Similar to what you say here… my thoughts always wander to traveling and seeing new things and immersing myself and my kids in other cultures. It’s hard because I’m a single mom already living paycheck to paycheck, so I don’t know how to make the first move…. And I feel like the more I try to figure it out, the farther I am from an answer and I get so frustrated and then slightly depressed. So I’m trying not to force anything but I also don’t want to remain stagnant. Any thoughts on this? How did you decide to jump into the lifestyle you’re currently in? How did you get started? Going to scroll through your videos to see if you’ve already spoken on this but I’d love to hear your thoughts. Are there smaller, less risky moves I could make now to put me closer to my dream of leaving the rat race as a single parent? We currently don’t go anywhere or really know anyone here or try new things much because of money and time and low energy. I manage my household and getting my kids where they need to be and bills and all by myself so at the end of the day, I’m overwhelmed and drained of energy. It feels like there is never enough time in the day to do all I need to do and honestly, my entire being is just…. TIRED. What more could I do? So that it isn’t so scary when I do finally find a way out? I feel trapped and my kids are bored with life and I hate this for them. I understand this isn’t your situation, so if you have no input just know that I greatly appreciate your videos anyway. Thank you!

I just got back from traveling, and out of nowhere, I started packing and selling my stuff & furniture. Gonna end this lease agreement for this apartment after next month. What then? Dunno! This is just the thing that LIFE is making me do and it feels like the right thing to do. Ofc. this sounds batshit crazy to someone (family for example) who does not live in my shoes, that's why I don't even tell them! Ofc. I'm searching for remote jobs etc. at the same time and with this flow, I feel landing one is not even far. Yep, trust life!

my ideas are a jumbled mess, there's not enough clarity for action. This might be due to suppression over the years. Anyone else run into this, and if so, how did you solve it?

    That was an interesting talk.
The bit about "time" was really interesting, but mainly b/c I had
read a science article talking about life & the passage of time, awhile back.. so at least it made
some semblance of sense to me. Definitely a concept that's not easy to digest quickly.
Going to watch a commercial or 2 for you.
Honestly you gave some good simple straight forward advice in this video. Glad I watched it.
The notion that "Ideas that keep coming back may have some sound reasons for being there" for good or bad.
