Used to love going there, been a few years. Murrells is great and Broadway at the Beach is a landmark must go place, Barefoot Landing not bad either. Was considering relocating down there but housing got wild, wouldn't be able to afford a house there now with the family. Unless I could find a great paying job, I may have to just consider Florida.
I hear you. I lived there for app. 3 years after my divorce, from 2000 til 2003 and I really lucked up and found a nice apartment on the lower end of the strip, right across from the beach, on the off season for only 600.00 a month. It had two bedrooms, living room kitchen/dining and one bath. Each room had a double bed and a bunk that slept double on bottom/single on top, living room had a fold out couch. So it slept twelve, and was plenty roomy. When the season ended I thought about trying to stay there, figured it was prob. double rent, but, when I asked the manager, he said it would be 1500.00 a WEEK. Needless to say I left at the end of the off season. Got a nice apartment on the old airforce base to for a year. Heard they've turned them into condos now.
It's an assessment of risk. Golf carts speeds rarely cause serious injury or fatalities like cars do. It's required that babies traveling in golf carts are secured to ones chest while supporting their necks and head. That said I wouldn't bring a newborn on a golf cart and imo it should be personal choice if one wants to wear a seatbelt.
One thing they failed to mention, watch out for the motorcyclists too. I lived there for 3 years and constantly hearing about them getting run over, many died. The problem is that Myrtle Beach is a tourist town and the people are so busy looking around at the sites that they dont pay enough attention to the bikers. Please drive slow and pay attention, esp. during biker weeks, they are everywhere.
no alcohol allowed on the beach, now if we can just get the moron tourist to read the NO DOG policy on the beach and in restaurants and grocery stores it would be a dream come true.
@@icantwiththis South Carolina criminalizes weed more than most states, Gotta remember it's extremely red which means extremely poor, stupid and backwards.
@@icantwiththis The laws are extreme in SC but the enforcement and penalties aren't. Weed vape pens, blunts, and bowls are everywhere. You can definitely smell it as you walk around. The culture imo is pro weed and pro freedom. Police aren't looking to make it an issue unless it's blatant like exhaling in an officer or kids face or something like that. For those who do get arrested for possession under 1oz. it's almost always turned to a simple citation with a $200 fine and no criminal record. Have a good one.
Huh? What is that with the umbrellas? This is just insane sounds like micro management. In Europe you do whatever you want to on the beach and they don’t have half the problems that we have here. Are you really gonna tell me that I can’t have an umbrella on the beach in the scorching heat?
What an awesome visit Myrtle Beach ad. Great share!
One of the best places to be!
I love that place
I actually saw this guy Apr 2023. Kinda cool
Love the new text to park. New tech …
We love myrtle beach … we love the thin blue line!

Florida costs even more.

Find an older home. But the last 4yrs things doubled
Tell me why I can be pulled over for no seat belt but a newborn can be held on the back of a golf cart, make that make sense

No but yes. Just put it in something that doesn't look like alcohol.
@@turkwendell6904 what about weed? Says online you can get a month on jail for simple possession. Seems extreme. What's the culture?

Fireworks on the beach are out of control.. Please enforce this law !!
It's ridiculous they even bothered to say anything, they don't enforce no fireworks on the beach....
Amen
That kind of sounds like fun though doesn't it?
california vibe

Are coolers aloud on the beach
Nah, they're usually pretty quiet...
oops may of made a hole bigger then a foot deep BUT i filled in so alls good
Such a bossy advertisement)
Hey
North Carolina beaches are so much better
Huntington Beach CA is better
A million times
Too bad it’s on the other side of the country.
All those umbrellas on the beach are a lie. No umbrellas allowed on the beach normally.
Except they are allowed up to certain diameter.
No umbrellas allowed on the beach = can’t bring water while hiking in the desert. Wth?
Boring!
over rated.
