@@zelkovalru The demo gives a taste of building with a little bit of workbench management, with 3 character classes to choose from. And you can replay to choose different quests to build different areas. The final game will have more character classes available (the ones greyed out in the menu) and also an open sandbox called Creative Mode. Hope this helps!

@@TheGeekCupboard He made the Ultima series of games. Lord British is his in game persona and is almost always invincible. In Ultima Online he was supposed to be invincible but players managed to kill him anyway.
@@TheGeekCupboard Richard Garriott is one of the early computer game devs. He's best known for the Ultima series, which were open world style roleplaying games and also had one of the first MMOs. A whole ton of modern game design choices and terminology, especially where RPGs are concerned, come from him, studios he was part of, and his games.
The bit with the Lord Richard character repeatedly referring to not letting people kill him/making his character be invincible comes from an Ultima Online incident where while logged in for an event during the beta testing period, Garriott's Lord British character was accidentally set to *not* be invincible. Someone managed to kill the character and started complete chaos, since the devs responded by... summoning demons to massacre all the player characters present. So that whole end bit was a very big reference!

A cozy MMO sounds like.... a lot of fun, actually. :D Oh! this is the same mob that made Let's Build a Zoo and Let's school. Cute wee games. This one, though.... it seems a bit ridiculous to be opening any MMO to players before the scenery and quests are down. That was pretty funny though.
I think music has it's place in games. Like in Deus Ex, I can't imagine that game without the music, it would be a lesser experience. But yes, I can see that in other games the music could be an annoyance!
I turn off music when it's repetitive, usually in games like House Flipper. But as a general rule I love game music--tends to be my "album of choice" if writing, too. Sometimes the music is better than the game--I bought AC1/2 and Deus Ex entirely off the back of its music. I also switch it off in MMOs (ESO or GW2, presently) if I'm grinding and listening to youtube as a podcast, but the Elder Scrolls music is quite good so I enjoy it. Each to their own, eh. :D

Lord Richard seemed very British to me. He must be the Ultimate player, or at least something like that.
